  1. If we're talking about voting rights what else has the most pressing concern other than the evolution of the Scottish Cup and it's formatting due to increased numbers. 50 clubs in 2006-07 (42 SPFL Clubs + 8 Qualifiers) 100 or more in 2019-20 (95 members, 5 Qualifiers so far, plus potential additional members that might get licensed in time)
  2. They don't really have to be to cover most of what people care about. It can be as simple as Full Members enter the Scottish Cup at the 1st Round proper at least, whereas all associate members and qualifiers start in preliminary rounds.
  3. The article in question https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/highland-league/1754171/highland-league-to-mull-over-four-options-as-they-prepare-for-life-without-cove-rangers/ The Highland League have already written to Banks O'Dee to ask their intentions now that Cove have been promoted. Don't know if BoD have responded to the league, but they declined to comment on today's article.
  4. For now, but it has been an ongoing discussion in various forms for years. It doesn't really matter. You restrict voting rights to just "Tiers 1-5" then the SPFL basically runs the SFA and all of football in the country as they can win every vote by 42-34. So they can do whatever they want.
  5. At least they're being proactive about it for a change. The 2009 is a tad misleading in that they never invited anyone back then. Formartine applied, Turriff applied and then the Highland League set a deadline on applications for the 2009-10 season.
  6. Even if the SPFL3 isn't fully on board. You've also seen plans by the SPFL to increase their membership by increasing league sizes.
  7. Still an idea. Also Tier 5 is 17-16 right now with the Highland League open to being a 20 team league. The Lowland League is restricted to 16.
  8. It's seems especially daft setting it as Tier 5 when the SPFL have been out proposing SPFL3.
  9. Worrying thing on that front is the SPFL & HFL will probably vote that as they don't have anything to worry about with no Tier 6 in the North and the SPFL having minimal risk of relegation.
  10. I'm maybe misremembering this, but was there some suggestion of Edinburgh United getting a set of floodlights?
  11. That season started with 16 teams which meant most of the planning went into spacing out the season for 30 league match days, 3 Qualifying League games plus the 5 cups you mentioned. Like I said the major difference is that now those cups will have additional rounds.
  12. It wasn't too long ago (2015-16) the EoS was a 15 team league with those cups and the Qualifying Leagues. That season ran from 1st August to the 29th May. There's more rounds to the cups this year with the increased numbers but I think they can get everything in and there are going to be more clubs with floodlights than ever before.
  13. In the Junior thread someone with ties to Montrose Roselea has repeated they're not interested in joining the Highland League just now.
  14. I just did that because they're a reserve side.
  15. It was in the middle of some clubs being assessed, not the middle of the assessment period. Licensing rules run by the calendar year. EoS knew by at least mid October floodlights were coming & hoped clubs would be treated under the rules at which they applied under.
  16. They can't change it next season as it means changing the LL playoff rules. Which is the whole mess we've just gone through the last 12 months.
  17. They're meant to be groundsharing with Sauchie.
  18. Does it count as a side effect when its intentional, I wonder? Once again the EoS appear to have put a lot of thought and consideration into their set up and came up with the best of both worlds.
  19. I don't think it really makes that much of a difference. Now I think that Conference B is the stronger of the two.
  20. 3/16 is pretty common. Can't all be the Lowland League I'm guessing they'll just drop into a single EoS First Division. However, it seems that the format of the leagues in 2020-21 is still open for discussion.
  21. Jon would of confessed to it but with Drogon flying away with Dany's body there isn't any proof. That would of led to some initial confusion where he would of been held and not immediately executed. By which time Davos probably would of rallied the Northern army and you'd have a stand off between the battle weary armies which probably held things in the stalemate.
