  1. I did say it was Monday after asking the Lowland League at the end of May.
  2. BSC Glasgow played out of Lochburn Park during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons. They were licensed SFA members during the 2015-16 season. Since 2015 I think the major thing to be introduced to licensing around stadia was to do with access and seating for disabled spectators. They already have floodlights.
  3. Maryhill already have floodlights and met the stadia licensing requirements when BSC Glasgow were lodge there and were licensed. Although there has been additional changes to the licensing requirements since then that might need work carried out.
  4. It's not entirely clear if these are new precedents, there's just a larger spotlight on it this year. Last year LTHV didn't officially have a SFA license. Yet during their games against Kelty to decide the championship those that attended asked if they would be okay for promotion. The answer being yes. Kelty end up winning the title, but would have LTHV been allowed to contest the LL playoff with Threave? We'll never know.
  5. I would look at Crossgates and the up turn they've gone through to be in this year's EoS Premier. There's nothing to stop Glenrothes bouncing back from a relative low point. They're looking at their youth teams. So the idea of Glenrothes just becoming Kelty reserves doesn't seem true. Short term picking up some of the Kelty u20s seems like a good idea since Kelty are 2 tiers above and buying in experience instead of blooding youngsters.
  6. Your perspective seems to be that of a melodramatic junior fan that probably never batted an eye at Montrose Roselea moving north for what they considered the betterment of their club. But Glenrothes moving from one East league to another is the death of the club.
  7. The statement I read was a goodbye and thank you to the Juniors. While looking forward to the EoS and running some youth sides. You make it sound like they've folded.
  8. They certainly should be with what they've got already. It's just the case if they had the full close season to plan and make additions they could of improved on that. By the sounds of things East Stirlingshire are spending and so are Kelty. Then you've got the unknown of how Berwick will handle the drop. Reigning champions East Kilbride and former champions Spartans. With BSC growing with 3rd and 2nd place finishes the last two years. There's 6 right there. I definitely wouldn't compare WW to Hawick given track records the last few decades. But WW did have an unusually bad year for themselves. Hearing them sign a number of players from Dalkeith, on the face it, doesn't suggest much of turnaround in fortunes either.
  9. A lot of people had Kelty as the favourites for the Lowland League title based on their run of form. East Super League Champion then EoS Champion. They should walk the Lowland League as there isn't enough quality in it. They finished 3rd and closer to 4th & 5th place than the Champions or runners up. Bonnyrigg would enter the Lowland League with a similar track record. Kelty Hearts 2016-17: East Super League Champion 78pts / 90pts 87% 2017-18: EoS Champion 69pts / 72pts 96% 2018-19: 3rd in the Lowland League 54pts / 84pts 64% Bonnyrigg Rose 2017-18: East Super League Champion 69pts / 90pts 77% 2018-19: EoS Conference B Champion 67pts / 72pts 93% It's a jump up from what they're used to. The Lowland League has been around for 6+ years now. It's been attracting some of the best players outwith the SPFL. Some of the clubs might not win any attendance records, but they can win games on the field.
  10. Nevermind I was looking at 2017-18 at the time. Still a new thing that EL holders are a top seed with this only being the 2nd season of it.
  11. It was never publicly stated as far as i'm aware. The closest thing was the EoS twitter feed post
  12. It wouldn't exactly have been a vote on new clubs. We aren't talking about applications. It's about the intrepretation of the rules under a so far unique set of circumstances.
  13. The LL might not be unanimous in how it decides to operate. There may well have been a split between those giving Bonnyrigg an extension and those not wanting WW to be relegated with some undecided. Bonnyrigg having their floodlights up and installed in time for the LL AGM could sway any doubts that they wouldn't get their SFA license in time for 2019/20.
  14. I think if it looked like the SoS could have had a licensed champion the LL would never have granted the extension past March 31st.
  15. Any news about what's happening with WW after last night's LL agm?
  16. Think the 400k was for the initial rip up of the grass and laying the original 3g.
  17. Have Tranent got floodlights up since they were last audited?
  18. Edusport benefited by not having a fixed location targeted. Look at how Rossvale have just moved to the South side of Glasgow as the home they had built wasn't fit for their purpose. Kirkintilloch Rob Roy are playing out of Cumbernauld. Clydebank have benefited by having Yoker Athletic on their doorstep that took years to develop into a situation of them being co-tenants.
  19. Fair to assume Dundonald will be getting reassessed this week along with Bonnyrigg?
  20. Anyone know if the Irn Bru sponsorship ended up being extended for this year? https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/sport/football/scottish-football/irn-bru-ready-to-put-more-fizz-into-the-cup/
  21. Inverness Athletic of the North Caledonian League are still a going concern. Junior side Inverness City officially folded after a year out in abeyance.
  22. League Averages only 372 Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic 358 Linlithgow Rose 261 Bo'ness United 237 Penicuik Athletic 224 Broxburn Athletic 221 Musselburgh Athletic 203 Tranent Juniors 193 Camelon Juniors 155 Dundonald Bluebell 146 Newtongrange Star 137 Hill of Beath Hawthorn 127 Dunbar United 122 Dalkeith Thistle 116 Sauchie Juniors 113 Blackburn United 110 Haddington Athletic 109 Dunipace 106 Arniston Rangers 105 Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts 103 Coldstream 102 Crossgates Primrose 98 Easthouses Lily MW 91 St Andrews United 86 Peebles Rovers 85 Tynecastle 84 Jeanfield Swifts 75 Preston Athletic 74 Tweedmouth Rangers 71 Oakley United 67 Burntisland Shipyard 65 Edinburgh United 60 Lothian Thistle HV 59 Eyemouth United 58 Heriot-Watt University 56 Stirling University reserves 55 Leith Athletic 55 Ormiston 47 Craigroyston 46 Hawick Royal Albert
  23. It is greatly diluted 42-33-20. The SPFL also has continued talks of various league formats that would increase its membership and has even discussed placing a league at Tier 5.
  24. With the league stabilised a bit and trying to become a pyramid league in some way, this could change. The Scottish Cup format is going to have a change a little and that would provide the opportunity. As Golspie won the NCL this year it's not something that matters, but for 2020-21 fingers crossed it could be a thing Only saw mention of Bonar Bridge.
