  1. Fair to assume Dundonald will be getting reassessed this week along with Bonnyrigg?
  2. Anyone know if the Irn Bru sponsorship ended up being extended for this year? https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/sport/football/scottish-football/irn-bru-ready-to-put-more-fizz-into-the-cup/
  3. Inverness Athletic of the North Caledonian League are still a going concern. Junior side Inverness City officially folded after a year out in abeyance.
  4. 5. It is greatly diluted 42-33-20. The SPFL also has continued talks of various league formats that would increase its membership and has even discussed placing a league at Tier 5.
  6. With the league stabilised a bit and trying to become a pyramid league in some way, this could change. The Scottish Cup format is going to have a change a little and that would provide the opportunity. As Golspie won the NCL this year it's not something that matters, but for 2020-21 fingers crossed it could be a thing Only saw mention of Bonar Bridge.
  7. You'll be happy to hear this year's rumour is a return of Bonar Bridge. They last played in the 2010-11 season.
  8. I didn't see another obvious place for this to have been picked up on, but on FitbaNorth @HibeeJibee was saying this player was also ineligible for the entire league season! And it was only realised after he was sent-off in the last league game. It was only when trying to register the suspension it was found out. as he wasn't on the system.
  9. I don't see them removing reserves or even inviting clubs. There's a mechanism to apply every year and its on the clubs themselves to put the effort in. I just found it interesting as the SoS are seen as quite isolationist. Yet whenever an East Kilbride, original Edusport, Bonnyton and now Edusport reserves have applied they've been accepted. The only trouble I've heard with getting in was actually related to Gretna 2008.
  10. So looks like the SoS remains a 16 team league next year but with an Edusport reserve side replacing Annan reserves. It'll also mean another "West of Scotland" club in the league as Edusport reserves will also be playing out of the new Alliance Park rather than continuing to groundshare down at Annan.
  11. The two things are intertwined but separate. Membership rights are something voted on by members. The licensing process is in the control of the licensing committee & board. Look at how the SPFL board can make up whatever they want with the Challenge Cup but can't push through Colts. One is a delegated responsibility and the other a membership vote.
  12. They've had their agm. 17 team league next year.
  13. Oakley in particular were considered a surprise move last year as I remember they were seen as staunch juniors. It was also about a month or so ago they announced a tie up with a youth club and I believe are looking to put in a u20s LL team. They might not necessarily having licensing in mind but they've been putting those types of moves together which suggests they are happy enough.
  14. I've seen it said Edusport are getting a reserve sides in the league. Does that mean there will be 17 clubs next year and will Edusport reserves keep playing out of Annan for the convenience?
  15. Some might think it, especially after being led to believe it.
  16. Depends on how in the loop they are over the bo'ness & linlithgow junior teams. There's been some confusion over that.
  17. CSS look to be sorted. VoL I'm not too sure on & WW are having to deal with a different kind of uncertainty so there hasn't been much positive news on the floodlights front. All 3 are looking into it as they obviously don't want to lose their licenses.
  18. http://www.bonnyriggrosefc.co.uk/teams/118321/news/crowdfunding-to-install-floodlights-at-new-dundas--2427790.html Apparently already started installing the floodlights. The SFA visit makes sense if they can get the work done in time.
  19. Anyone the dates of the EoS & SFA agms? With LL's on Monday I had expected them to come out with Whitehill aren't relegated and Bonnyrigg didn't get their license in time. With the Bonnyrigg chat I'm now wondering if there will be any sort of further extension
  20. Not a great thing to see. In amongst the messages of support, there seems to be some offers to help out.
  21. Had it confirmed that the Lowland League AGM is on Monday.
  22. Do you happen to know that they haven't? There was no public declaration of the attempted relegation rule change earlier this year. Or of 14th being "guaranteed" they would not be relegated. Even the extension to the March 31st deadline came through through the East of Scotland rather than the Lowland League.
  23. With BoD the only really candidate to come from outside the pyramid there's no incentive to declare an interest in applying for 2020-21 until the very last minute. The Highland League should set a deadline for applications to force any interested parties to apply early as possible and not just wait until the SPFL2 play-offs have run their course. Right now anyone can apply right up until the HL AGM.
