  1. I think that was a different vote, the one on 19 teams. After they had originally okay'd Celtic and Rangers to continue. Only for Hearts to apply as well. 17/04/2023 https://www.caledonianbraves.com/news/fans-vote-on-b-team-inclusion They then announced on how they voted 'No' 18/04/2023 https://www.caledonianbraves.com/news/club-statement-b-teams-in-slfl This most recent vote they never went public on how they voted 18/12/2023. https://www.caledonianbraves.com/news/vote-on-the-inclusion-of-b-teams
  2. And the 3 Regions usually imposed ground standards for their top division. Just as the WoSFL does now. Yet none of them did so with any teeth to be meaningful.
  3. I think the mention of a TV deal was just a joke about the original proposal about B team benefits back in 2021.
  4. People still say Brora didn't want promotion in 2015. Won their semi-final Won the 1st leg of the final Go down 1-0 at half-time in the 2nd leg, tying it up 1-1. Minutes into the 2nd half they score to take the lead again. Get a player sent off for a 2nd yellow and eventually lose out. Can only assume somebody made a fortune at the bookies for the amount of effort they put in.
  5. For a show that was only announced this month might be more burning through savings or firing it on the credit card.
  6. Didn't they have to create a new position for Kennie to basically takeover fixtures while keeping SR in post?
  7. None of that is about their current licensing level.
  8. In a way I could see it as a greater chance of existing longer term. One of the reasons they've groundhopped to Alloa, Cumbernauld, and now Dumbarton is to keep up with SPFL/Conference/increasing licensing standards. Takeaway those kind ambitions and just focus on Entry level licensing. It leaves more options open to them.
  9. Have you failed to notice Gartcairn, St Cadoc's, Caledonian Locos, and the rest?
  10. Its not so much to accomodate a B team. The SFA have been rather strict with the Lowland and say they can only have 16 member clubs. Despite the fact their counterpart in the Highland League have 18. The second relegation is to balance that. On the other hand the SFA are quite happy for the Lowland to have 18 or 19 teams with the B teams topping up the 16 members. There's the invite to Rangers B to return that would put the league at 19 teams next season. Probably would take in the likes of Hibs B as well to make it 20.
  11. Going to guess Struggling to get a 100 through the gate again. The return of their most successful manager sees them in the bottom 4. Maybe they'll get lucky with their next managerial appointment.
  12. The Lowland League workaround for the B teams is that they cannot be champions, and the final league standings exclude them from the table. There has been a belief online that a Club 42 or HL club may challenge if a B team had the most points but someone else declared LL champion. The rule has now been on the books for 3 seasons, that ship has probably sailed.
  13. I thought those pics were explaining the absence of something because they were taken away. Rather than something just installed.
  14. The licensing process has been closed to new applications most of the season, with it expected to be opened up again following the SFA AGM. While there might be a small number in the process that become members (nothing's been heard publicly). None would be expected to come from the Midlands.
  15. Season basically over, when's the AGM? Rangers B at least had the invite to rejoin. Any new rule changes being floated?
  16. They went before the SPFL and SFA promising they'd do everything required if they won promotion.
  17. Congrats to Buckie. No Chicken Littles running around saying the big, bad SPFL are banning them from the playoff for not having a Bronze license?
  18. Yip, in good news Beith Juniors won again and finally go top of the table in the WoSFL. Should hopefully play out as EoS v. SoS.
  19. Can you write that rule in a way that would pass a vote?
  20. Gretna 2-1 Edinburgh University The Uni return to their EoS roots with Gretna still on a shoogly peg waiting on the SPFL2 Play-offs to go in their favour.
  21. For the sake of the return to two-legged semis there's been 8 Premier games played on a Saturday. Teams left idle, games squeezed into midweek. All so that the SJFA could take the bulk of the gate money and pay it back as prize money. I still find it surprising they were able to get away it when every other cup competition is cutting out replays and even extra-time in a lot of cases.
  22. I think its easier to complain about travel, than mention the fear of ending up on the bench or out the door.
  23. Is that something that's actually happening?
