  1. Oxborough the latest victim of The Luke Watt Paradox. The more he doesn't play, the better he gets. Give it til April and we'll be having him as the next Buffon.
  2. I'm not angry about Friday night. But even the mere mention of that game when they had been relegated to league 2 and we were literally top of the league and McCall had us shitting the bed from about a week before the game gets my blood gently simmering.
  3. This should replace the absolute lie about improving peoples lives.
  4. I walked out of Cappielow at full time on Friday night with a mixture of disappointment but also feeling like that went exactly the way I expected it to go. Fair fucks to Morton for looking like a team that wanted to win a cup tie. Our squad of duds & shitebags never looked at all up for it. It's disappointing because there's not a single fixture to look forward to now. We should scrape into 10th, hopefully. We should then have a new CEO, Kettlewell's contract is up in the summer so we can shake hands and move on. Most of this fucking terrible squad are out of contract as well so the same goes. I'd keep Spittal and that's about it. So it would be nice if we could have a bit of stability in the running of the club which might have a knock on effect on the playing squad.
  5. Dunno about you lot but I'd quite like to have a season where we didn't lurch from one crisis straight into another.
  6. It is a bit revisionist to say Liam Kelly has always been shite. The first 18 months of his Motherwell career and the last 18 months of it are like two completely different players. At the minute his confidence looks shot to ribbons, you can feel the panic when he's under a cross. It makes sense to just part ways at the end of the season imo.
  7. Morton looked like they were right up for that game and we've assembled a squad of absolute fucking shitebags. Liam Kelly is utter dugmeat.
  8. Somewhere between this and us accepting that Obika will never be fit in his life probably makes sense. Vale showed more about him in this brief spell than Shaw has done entirely.

  10. Respect to Thelonius leaning in to that Fresh Prince patter:
  11. Went to a Stockport County game on a stag do last season and it was a fucking miserable standard of football. Just teams flinging shite at each other for 90 minutes. Adams claiming L2 is better than our top flight would suggest he's delusional at best. I know for clubs here it's a lottery when you sign a load of players in January but signing duds from FGR & Grimsby to try and stave off the threat of relegation doesn't fill you with confidence.
  12. Aye. I've enjoyed all his books. The complete chaos that involves covering the Tour de France for 3 weeks being diarised is always a laugh. Also getting it in real time with the Never Strays Far podcast with him, David Millar & Pete Kennaugh is great value.
  13. Fair. I'll wait til it ends up on the Kindle sale and pick it up then.
  14. Is it worth a read, overall? Looked at it when I was in buying a copy of 1923 (great book even if you don't care about cycling) but decided against it.
  15. Immediately justified the signing. Could have been hooked after that and I'd have been happy with what I saw. Took his goal well too, I suppose.
  16. If it was 6-0 I don't think County could have any complaints. No sure why they're set up to give Theo the entire half to do what he wants. Two very decent saves from the keeper stopping him earlier.
  17. We had Oli Shaw filling that quota so maybe it just balances out.
  18. When he hits 15 goals for the season we all turn up in suits, cousin.
  19. The one in the league cup final a few years ago where Boyata nearly launched GMS half way to Rutherglen still sticks with me. A mental challenge but because the ball is in the air it's treated as ah it's just a coming together. It's a weird grey area in refereeing that I don't understand. Even more concerning about that incident was that Boyata's said since that he's got no recollection of the rest of the game. Which is further proof that the concussion protocol in football was disgraceful at the time and I'm not convinced it's much better now.
  20. Complaining about BigTech while regularly posting your theories on a platform owned by the epitome of a BigTech p***k is quite funny at least. As for this, aye. It was full of tactics that were at odds with each other. Set up to defend crosses but never defend the cross coming into the box. Have loads of space wide, but have the full backs under strict instruction that they should not cross the half way line under any circumstances. I honestly think Alexander would struggle to get any squad in the world to effectively do what it was he was wanting.
  21. We'll inevitably concede a soft goal from a set piece because that's what we do best. As for going forward. Theo Bair was very good on Saturday so hope he fancies it again. And I hope we deploy a rampaging Bevis Mugabi at RWB again because it's great value entertainment.
  22. Paul McGinn putting his name on the Nirrenold Trophy 2024 with that belter.
