There is also the possibility that a wealthy investor could give us the breathing space to actually grow fan ownership into something that isn't just for making ends meet. For example if there was someone US based who had perhaps sold an engineering company to make a fortune. They then might want to help us get fan ownership working with their input. Would be unthinkable though.

Just because folk pay 10 quid a month doesn't mean they should immediately be informed of everything the club does. Not sure there's much merit in giving the details of a relatively complex financial arrangement that publicly names the interested party out to a load of people who have absolutely no idea how this stuff works. For me the club have done the correct thing here. There's an interested party, the initial details have been deemed acceptable enough to fully explore so they are doing that before putting it out to the shareholders including the Well Society. All this coming off the back of the exploratory vote that said fans would consider outside investment.

Motherwell v St. Mirren
well fan for life replied to TPAFKA Jersey 2's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
A genuinely terrible game of football all round. In a season of laughably avoidable goals, McGinn sticking the ball out for a corner under no pressure before giving a free header away is right up there with the best. -
We just collectively laugh at Nicolson after he said it was "utterly inexplicable" that we overlooked Tommy Wright in favour of Graham Alexander when we were in a relegation shitfight. Obviously that whole situation ended up in disaster later but in that first season we wound up comfortably staying up and Tommy Wright seen Killie get relegated.

Aye. Both handballs are ridiculous to even consider as fouls. The issue is that I don't actually think anybody can confidently say what is a handball in these instances now. We've seen even less obvious handballs given as penalties (this one last week for example, but there's been countless others). The rule is confusing and the consistency is infuriating. I mentioned it in our thread but it does feel like sunk cost fallacy. The VAR system does not work properly, it's being staffed by people who are incompetent and the powers that be think that it'll work fine. Waiting 5-6 minutes for a decision to be awarded whatever way is not improving anyones match day experience.

Cannae believe there's people shocked that we struggled to break down a team who were sitting in. We have nobody who can unpick that problem, Spittal to Bair/Vale on the counter is our best attacking output and when that's taken away we've struggled. As far as VAR, f**k knows. It's sunk cost fallacy now. We've a system in place that's run by incompetent referees and we expect it to work well. I'm not even just talking about today either. All over the league this season has been one stinking decision after another.
