For me there the only change to the team I would make would be Holmes out and Jakubiak in. Holmes didn’t do much for me in the game against Partick. We need to get our strongest possible 11 on the park and for me Holmes ain’t in it neither is Allan but he deserves a run.

Yeah I think your right has been more random over last few seasons. I always think Thursday media day. Wednesday is normally their day off however that’s not to say McPake is off as I’m sure he has said in interviews that when he got the job he wanted to be flexible due to his family. Be nice if we got something today as the pre season hype started off high and of recent has fallen flat.

Unsure what is going on but it’s clear we are not in the best position going into the first game of the season. Mcpake obviously wanted McGowan but I think the fact Tod has put in a few decent performances maybe the board decided it better to give him game time than pay money for McGowan as Tod fits the model of developing players. As for the close signing, McPake shouldn’t have said anything as everyone is now questioning the reason nothing has happened.

P.S. smaller squad in this league doesn’t work. “I am always conscious that I want to bring on people who can play in the first team. I don’t want to bring in squad players, I want twenty players and be able to look round at the bench and put any one of them on and they can going to affect the team. I think that is so important whether that is in training, whether that’s in games.
