A huge come from behind win for Camelon tonight. Those wins have ratcheted up the pressure on Nitten and Saints going into tomorrow’s crunch match. Can’t wait.

I was working that day so I didn’t see Camelon. In fact I missed our victory that led to your manager getting his jotters as well.

Three cracking games this midweek. Could be more twists and turns in the next 48 hours.

A belated congratulations to Dunipace, the best side I have seen Saints play this season so well deserved.

All the top five have dropped points recently. Heriot Watt and Leith have both been doing a good job of getting results against the top teams. Where were they earlier in the season? And you don’t need to tell me about Leith. We haven’t beaten them since moving to the EOS!! I would say roll on the 24th but we have two cup ties to deal with first.

St Andrews 0 Kirkcaldy 3 Deeply disappointing day. The game was over by halftime as a goalkeeping error and a deflected shot helped the away team to a surprise three goal lead at the break. Saints still in the box seat but will need a big improvement in their next league game at Newtongrange. As for the Star they drop another two points and their best chance of promotion appears to lie with Gretna and Broxburn. Dunipace are on the edge of promotion. They might have done enough already but one win will secure a well deserved Premier league place.

Will the vote on the applications be held at the SGM?

Bo’ness played an ineligible player on Tuesday night. Leith Athletic now face Ormiston, St Andrews or Newtongrange in the semis.

Heriot Watt have been doing a sterling job as the spoiler recently. Hopefully they can continue their good work against Dunipace on Saturday. Camelon have a tricky game at home to Leith and of course we have our blockbuster against Newtongrange as well. Unfortunately Dav I would be astonished if your match at Whitburn is on.

Mathematically Dunipace need nine points from five games to secure promotion but that only if Camelon or Newtongrange win all their remaining games. i think you guys will be ok.

It’s not set in stone but given that Lochore don’t have lights it can’t be a midweek game so the 20th makes sense.

In the last few weeks Heriot Watt have beaten St Andrews and Camelon as well as drawing with Newtongrange. They are playing the role of spoilers to perfection.

Well the new manager bounce did not materialise for Camelon today. They appear to be imploding at just the wrong time. We now know that Dunipace require 9 points from six games and Saints need 12 from 7 matches to be sure of promotion. It’s a shame that we break off for cup ties next weekend.

I can’t fault the St Andrews Citizen(owned by Johnston Press) who give the Saints the best part of two pages every week plus regular interviews with our manager on their social media.

Blackburn 1 St Andrews 2 St Andrews finally move into the promotion places. And they still have games in hand on Camelon and Newtongrange. We’re in a good position.
