  1. Ah Jeez. Will be interesting to see where they go with this, seeing as they've already deviated from the main plot on the film. At first I thought Billy Bob Thornton's character was different take on Steve Bucemi's one in the film, but after seeing the trailer for the next episode, I am starting to think he's an entirely new one altogether.
  2. Saw that. Cracking pick. United legend Jacky Kay in the centre with the "Guy Pierce in Lawless" style centre parting. Was talking about this pic yesterday. They have the location wrong, it's taking along the sandeman street terracing, now the George fox stand, looking towards the corner with the shed.
  3. HOW GOOD was that last scene.....
  4. I always wondered about the Main Stand at Fir Park as well. The yellow steel frame that sticks out towards the away end. My Dad told me it was put in so they would have the option to extend it the full length if they ever wanted, but I imagine its also planning permission problems.
  5. Never understood the single column of seats at each stand behind the goals in the newer stands at Tynecastle. Is that for season ticket holder with no mates?
  6. We reckon this is the United team from 1966 just after beating Barcelona at Tannadice. Jimmy Briggs (extreme left) and Billy Hainey (extreme right) enjoying a fag in the dressing room.
  7. Another one at Tannadice, the Main Stand (now Jerry Kerr Stand) under construction in the early 1960s. Excellent Health and Safety standards at work here.
  8. There was a kind of "natural progression" to becoming a Shedboy.... Family member would take you to first game, either in the Main Stand or the Sandeman Street Enclosure. Then you would move over towards that corner, with the high wall. Then gradually make your way into the Shed, closer and closer to the middle. Then you suffered your first face plant with one of those mental surges! And that was it, you had qualified.
  9. Didn't know you were mates with Neil Cooper? lol
  10. Absolutely fantastic thread. Was about to post loads of Tanandice, but noticed Desert Nomad has been there first. I'll just add comments to his pics...
  11. Absolutely superb tonight. Back on form, and no doubt will have the last two episodes making more sense on a rewatch.
  12. Agree with Jock, a bit old fashioned, but once you get into that way of writing they're great. It's clever the way they are presented though, through the eye's and words of Watson from him Journal (loved the modern day take with the blogs!). It was a clever way of writing it, a bit like Dracula and how it was written as diary entries. To be honest, the best way to get through them is with audio books, although make sure you get someone with a British accent. The American ones are awful!
  13. Agree, without actually following the old stories at all, there IS little winks and nods throughout. "The Game is Afoot.....On!". Anybody notice in the first episode, when Sherlock returns to fly through cases with Molly as his assistant, there was a mention of a woman who's online boyfriend had stopped making contact, and within seconds Sherlock had deduced that it was her Stepfather behind it? Only lasted seconds, but was straight from the ACD story "A Case of Identity" from the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. I'm sure there's a few more over all the episodes. Glad I read this thread again..... had a look at the Digital Spy forum, and started to think I was the only one who has enjoyed the last two episodes! I can see where some are coming from, that with only 3 episodes per season, there's no room for character development. But the comedy moments have been fantastic, and you just know that both episodes are building towards part 3... just as the last two series have done.
  14. Yep, Mitch - the guy who joined the Governor after he had killed his brother - was a tank driver in the US Army when the apocalypse went down. The two of them had been driving about in it until they joined Martinez's group.
  15. Up until the mid season finale, season 4 had been a real let down. That las episode was superb though. However, it pisses me off that they have basically stretched it out an extra 8 or so episodes with the flu virus, the gov's so called redemption, etc, when that episode there SHOULD have been the finale to season 3. They've went a bit Lost syndrome on us, spinning stuff out with pointless filler episodes, and introducing new characters for the sole reason to have somebody killed off.
  16. Ace really gripped my shit. Hated her. Had actually forgot how much, but then was reminded during the 50th celebrations. I had always like Sylvester McCoy when growing up, should never have been given the Doctor's job though. As for his pretend weegie accent in Still Game... he's originally from Dunoon so shouldn't have been too hard for him.
  17. That was pretty much what killed off Doctor Who for me originally. Grew up with Tom Baker and Peter Davidson, and all of a sudden the Doctor is this total twat with a gay tramps duvet cover for a coat. Tried my best to like him, but looking back you could tell the BBC had had enough by then. The stories were mostly awful, the special effects were so bad. Also becoming a teenager and an obsession with football getting worse, It was very uncool to watch the programme then. McCoy, Langford and Ace pretty much made me hate the programme after that. Loved the new Eccelston stuff, and really enjoyed Tennent until that fucking Cartherine Tate arrived. Again, I left it behind. Missed the whole Amy Pond/River Song stuff but Louise-Colman has brought me back in, just in time for the 50th. Just got the Virgin Media TiVo box installed, and there is a shit load of classic episodes on demand, been great revisiting Tom Baker and seeing the proper older stuff with Troughton and Pertwee thoroughly for the first time. Currently working my way through the Three Doctors. Would also like to add, thanks to SGMilne for his doctor who blogs, which have also helped get me interested again. Can't wait for Peter Fucking Capaldi.
  18. Whats the deal with the Los Santos airport Hanger? Have finished the story, and tried to buy it with both Michael & Frank (Trevor not allowed).... anyway, on several occasions now, I walk up to the For Sale sign, get the prompt to buy it, then nothing happens. It just won't let me buy it.
  19. A character swap to Micahel.... he's sitting crying in his car, head on the steering wheel.. Just around the corner from his house!
  20. I hope that Rockstar will do a patch to fix it soon, as having that PLAY disc running non stop for hours a day will give a few Xbox's a red ring!
  21. Did you install the PLAY Disc as well as the INSTALLATION Disc? That seems to be the problem if you install both discs, the coding clashes and the texures, street furniture etc don't load properly. I've got an old style Xbox and it runs fine on it, with the one disc installation. Check this video out for examples... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0gPB0gdoOM
