I got a 2:1, pretty happy with that but would be interested to know how close I was to a first as I had felt it was achievable.

Strange, I did music which is probably not classed as a "proper" degree, and there were moments where it was bloody hard work. Course structure was a little lopsided, 1st year was probably the most intense although I believe they have sorted that. Doing the degree has certainly had the desired effect - I learned a hell of alot and my critical skills improved pretty dramatically.

I was pretty close to the maximum I think and I definitely noticed a reduction, I think it might have been about £500 or so. But if the loan's going up anyway it'll probably go up.

I think at Glasgow the most cuntish ones are the loudest ones, hence you will notice them more. I've found most people are generally alright.

That made me realise there are people who can legally get married who weren't born the last time Scotland reached the finals of a major tournament.

I was at Murano a few years back and while its a bit beige and dull, it's by and large quite safe. Not going to say muggings and that never happen, but I think one person I know got mugged and that was in the Botanic Gardens of all places. Although yes, getting to sleep can be a little difficult sometimes, would have been worth it if my flat had been in any way sociable.

Just back from Sigur Ros, they have a wee tendency to go on a bit but after finishing with Untitled #8 I really don't care. I loved it.

It appeared on mine because a friend of mine commented on it, clearly just some attention seeking twat, probably just found a video and claimed it was her and bang! centre of attention! Somebody on my feed just posted "on a positive note givin up smokin has gone better 2day only had 3 cigarettes all day" I don't think that's quite how giving up smoking works.

When I saw it was acoustic I wasn't going to bother, until I spotted Little Soldiers in the track list. Lovely wee song, wasted as a b-side.

The more I listen to this whole thing, the more I like it - still not sure about Pocket, but maybe that will come.

This is much better than Only Revolutions. I find it hard to separate the first 4 albums for quality - I think this one might just join the club. Big pop anthems like Black Chandelier and Biblical somehow have managed to settle in next to mathy angular stuff like Victory Over the Sun and Modern Magic Formula. Only track I'd say is conspicuously weak is Pocket.
