Yeah screw it, we'll have a go of running with the 1.5ppr TE buff. If it doesnt work we'll change it next year. It gives people a different way to build their team if they want to, and balances out those flex spots like I was trying to. Nothing really at stake if it ends up not working out

For what its worth, based on last season this is how the current scoring would spread the positions in terms of Avg Points/Game; Top 20 QBs - 6 RBs - 7 WRs - 7 Top 100 QBs - 25 RBs - 29 WRs - 31 TEs - 15 Seeing that, Im actually wondering if the TE buff should be 1.5ppr. That would have it looking like; Top 20 QBs - 5 RBs - 7 WRs - 4 TEs - 4 Top 100 QBs - 24 RBs - 27 WRs - 29 TEs - 20

Good spot, it actually should be 1PPR for TEs, not 1.5. I had changed this in the original draft of scoring but mustve missed it in the revision. Should be fixed now We've been playing this league with return yards since I took over it...thats been what, 3 years? 4 maybe? Its not really been an issue. (That receiver in your example would have 12 points btw, not 18)

Definitely. The accessibility vs complexity is miles ahead of everyone else. MFL is good too but its very messy and quite hard to navigate if youre not on it often

Yeah its tough to balance TE out. Points per first down would do it but its not a metric that fleaflicker tracks yet. Like I said, its experimental, it needs some tinkering. Im desperately trying to get away from that mindset that you can only play WR/RB in a flex spot though. I did have a scoring setup where superflex would work but I didnt want to overcomplicate things for some of the more casual guys. i think Im going to drop a flex spot as well. Im fine with the 3 but it doesnt seem very popular. DSTs are still out for this year though, its just too much work to balance those as well as everything else. It'll probably be back next year, but like a few of you have mentioned the scoring setup we had was a bit wild some weeks. Hopefully the one i have running in the other league where its basically just big plays that score will work out and theres no tinkering necessary

Yeah thats my worry as well. Hence asking for feedback on the idea I love fleaflicker despite its flaws, purely because its so simple and easy to use but still has loads of customisation and stats if you want it. But for the size and setup of this its getting to the stage where its becoming a chore to set up. If its not popular I might just end up running it off a spreadsheet if I decide to keep it going (and nobody wants to take over of course) :/

I'm also going to be considering a move over to MFL for hosting the league next season. It's a bit of a nuisance, but it makes setting things up every year infinitely easier (like taking prep time down to an afternoon, instead of multiple weeks) The downsides: - Switching sites - Slightly worse layout (the basics are pretty easy) - Pay to play (nothing major, at current numbers probably about £3 per year, can bump up to cover trophy/prizes etc.) The upsides: - Easier setup - More format options (best ball/all-play/custom playoffs/single league table/etc.) - No hassle switching around/rejoining leagues for promotions and relegations - Potential for prizes/trophies - Almost unlimited space for new players (depending on setup) If anyone has any feedback on this just now please let me know, I'll be checking in every so often during the season to reevaluate as well

For those of you who havent checked the fleaflicker site: We're super close to the draft for this season guys, hope you're all excited First thing's first - the draft is on Thursday 31st August. It'll be a live, online draft, with the draft order set on Wednesday night. We will be trialing a couple of changes this season; - I've removed defenses and kickers from the lineups. The defences will likely only be for this season until I've tested the new scoring changes (see below). Kickers won't be coming back while I'm running the league I dont think, they just add hassle. - To replace the removed kickers and defences, I've added in 2 extra flex spots where you can play an additional RB, WR or TE - I recommend having a look at the league scoring page (which I've conveniently linked here: fleaflicker.com ). I will be testing out how this scoring format works in all 3 divisions this season. It's mostly intended to balance positions and flex eligibility, and further differentiate the QB position. If it doesnt work we'll return to more traditional scoring next season. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Know the scoring and lineups before the draft starts. It won't be crazy, but for anyone who plays in multiple leagues it will probably increase QB and TE value slightly Any questions, please let me know before the draft

Im still deciding whether I want to stagger them again or not :/ its handy if theres folks lose connection or anything but I dont think it was really necessary last year so i might just run them all together. probably be a 7:30 start for the top flight either way

If it was in the 'draft is starting' post here or on the league page I wouldnt really have an issue. Id have probably done the same thing, maybe Id have checked the technicality like I did before attempting to pick Cutler, but then thats definitely my own fault.
