McPake must take so much credit for that result. It’s never a good look to be making a double substitution after half an hour but he’s obviously not shy in making these decisions and today he’s called it perfectly. Good strike from Fitzpatrick and Tiffoney is always capable of causing problems. Turner was faultless all day, letting him go is one of the biggest wastes of talent we’ve experienced in some time and that’s a hill I’m ready to die on. Imagine how effective he’d be in our team just now. The penalty is actually a very good decision by the ref. I had no idea what it was given for until watching the highlights but it’s a stupid decision from Muirhead and a good one (albeit pretty easy tbh) from the ref. A lot of encouraging signs from us, if not a lesson in being a bit more clinical when you only get a handful of chances. Baffled at Edwards’ yellow for taking too long to take the throw-in in extra time. How can it be time wasting when the reason you didn’t take the throw is because your teammate is being manhandled?
