  1. Petershill, very well done. Take that confidence into the league games now.
  2. Good Psychology,andy25. Let one of your best players know he is playing like a Haddie. Then he plays a massive part in one of your best results of the season. You should be in the frame for the Arsenal job.
  3. Beith started like cup holders going 2 in front after 20mns. Their no 8 snookered a Darvel defender on the 18 yd line, turned quickly & skilfully slotted the ball home from just inside the box. Soon after Beith no 10 doubled their advantage when he bravely surged forward & blasted home from 20 yds. Darvel started to put Beith under pressure & went close on a few occasions before half time. HALF TIME Darvel 0-2 Beith. Darvel’s Darren Miller got involved in some nonsense at the beginning of the 2nd half & received a red card. The home side adapted well to being a player down, & got themselves back into the game when a corner from the right caused carnage in the visitors defence & the ball ended up in the net. Not sure who put it there, but Danny Boyle played a large part in the goal. Sean McIllroy put Beith further in front when he spent more time in the air than Neil Armstrong to power a header high into the net, ending a fine Beith move on the left. Darvel’s no 2 made things interesting when he volleyed home a cracker from 20 yds. Alan McKenzie nearly took the game to penalties when he came close in the last minute. Very good game on a bitterly cold afternoon. MOM Beith’s no 2 one of the best players I’ve saw this season.
  4. Good luck to the new lad at Pollok.
  5. Darvel v Beith is the pick of the ties for me. I’m looking forward to gauging Darvel’s progress against one of the best Junior teams around.
  6. Is Kevin McDonald available to play?
  7. Is John Sheridan still playing for Beith? I always thought he would be a good gaffer.
  8. Get some Tena Pants for next Saturday, Bo.
  9. Looked a penalty, & a very good performance from the visitors. But Auchinleck Talbot are truly awesome.
  10. Hurlford 3-1 Shotts Bon Accord. Hurlford flew the boxes, & took an early lead when their best player Chris Robertson powerfully headed home from 6yds,a delightful corner from the left taken by the very impressive Marc McKenzie. The Hurlford lads doubled their advantage after 15mns,when a fine flowing move started by captain Paul McKenzie continued by Marc McKenzie, & finished by Lewis Morrison when he blasted home from the 18yds. Shotts response was rapid, one of their lads won a midfield tussle & hit an inviting ball over the home defence, their no9 Jordan Love timed his run to perfection & hit a lovely pitch & run over the advancing Martin McDonald in the Hurlford goal. Soon after he came close to equalising when he appeared in acres of space in to Hurlford defence, & his effort only just missed the target. Half time Hurlford 2-1 Shotts Bon Accord. The space given to Jordan did not impress Hurlford gaffer Darren Henderson & I enjoyed listening to his half time team talk, whilst I was in line at the very impressive pie hut. Hurlford left winger Jack Whittaker finished the scoring when he took possession from a throw in, ran across the pitch & from 20yds curled a belter past Shotts goalie Johnny Murdoch. Hurlford into round 4, Shotts made them work very hard for the passage.
  11. Hurlford 3-1 Shotts FT Jack Whittaker 60mns.
  12. Hurlford 2-1 Shotts HT Chris Robertson 5mns. Lewis Morrison 15mns. Jordan Love 20mns Shotts.
  13. Paulp9 might be available.
