He’s been excellent overall this season. Has a few games he drifts out of it, but overall our most valuable player I’d say.

Been on holiday so expecting a couple of kilo gain but will be straight back on it come Tuesday. Did a performance test through my gym (as part of a 45 day challenge) and not only did I lose 4kg but I improved in every category (weights and cardio).

Wonder how much of this is scar tissue now for the players. If the fans feel this way every time we take a lead, there’s no way the players don’t feel a similar level of anxiety and inevitability.

If it’s happening constantly it’s a Docherty tactic to sit back and invite that pressure. The players aren’t doing this every week and then being rewarded by not being dropped.

The ref went to the monitor while he was still getting treatment. He could’ve made the decision in real time. It was a stonewalled.

Abdicating responsibility to VAR. It’s another farce of VAR, that should be given but we’ve had this 3 minute delay to the game.

Pretty sure that’s in breach of national minimum wage stuff, because they’ve attached benefits to it and said there’s a chance of a job in the future. Pretty disappointing from the club IMO, would cost them very little.

That’s never a penalty. VAR is a shambles.

Ryanair don’t use the plugged variant of the Max and in fact they are the reason the plugged variant exists (more or less). They’re the biggest (I think) operator and wanted the higher density. Over a certain number of passengers they need another emergency exit, and therefore there’s a big hole in the body of the plane for passengers who don’t run the Max as dense as Ryanair.

Yeh that sounds right. I honestly don’t know, but it’s the only reason I can think of that he’s not been called to the monitor. He’s not made a “clear and obvious” error with the giving of the foul, just the location of it. Honestly who knows at this point. Another advert for VAR sucking the soul of our game away.

Thinking about it more if VAR decides it in the box there’s no decision other than a penalty. No scenario where Dundee end up with a free kick for example because there wasn’t a foul against us. I think the ref has forced the hand of VAR by giving the free kick. Edited to say nah im an idiot that’s how var works most of the time.

I’m not really sure that’s how that works. I’d imagine part of the discussion with the ref is if he’s 100% confident it’s a foul, and if so it becomes an objective fact whether it’s inside the box or not and therefore no need to go to the monitor. Exposes another flaw of VAR where the bar for a penalty is realistically higher, even if not in the law, so that may be a foul elsewhere but definitely shouldn’t be a penalty.

I lived in Germany and made a pretty big effort to learn it while over there (3 classes a week plus all the rest you get). The biggest thing for me echoes what DiegoDiego said above, learn English. Having learned German it’s made me understand why we do certain things in English and made other languages make a lot more sense. I’m trying to pick up some Spanish now, definitely slower than German for me, but my fundamental understanding of language has made it much quicker to understand grammatical things. What really helped me in German was listening to podcasts, watching TV shows on Netflix etc. (even kids ones). There’s a good podcast “news in slow German” that I listened to religiously. Covered the big current affairs without the speed of a native podcast.

This has been a shite week to be a Dee. Cannot chuck away 2 goal leads as regularly as we do. There’s something very wrong with that.
