  1. hilarious that tedi thinks the non football staff wage costs could only be one million....the average 12 screen cinema with 35 staff on min wage n 5 mgrs on salaries under 30k come in at £450000...newco has roughly a hundred non playing staff outside of board, many of which are qualified professionals in fields like it, marketing, law, h&s, accountancy etc....the idea that ibrox n mp are run by a cpl of volunteers n amateur gardeners n tea ladies is laughable. oldco couldnt cover operational costs from tickets n sponsorship revnue with spl n eufa games....of course its worse now the newco has less revenue but overspent on playrs. moaning about 'spivs' is just ignorance about costs of ibrox n mp
  2. just say dave king isnt a lying crook trying to get the fans to finance his takeover of newco and he did throw millions at the team....wouldnt uefa object to this as a breach of the financial fair play rules?? as i understand it clubs are supposed to operate at break even from season tickets, sponsorship etc. newco has shown it cant do this (as did oldco). im sure uefa would be happier blocking a king funded newco from europe rather than take on the lawyers from man city, barcelona or real madrid
  3. newco membership of sfa wax conditional upon a sustainable business plan so if the inevitable insolvency event happens either they lied to the sfa n membership should be revoked or regan must resign for signing off on an unsustainable plan (and admit thats why him n doncaster tried to force newco into top tier)
  4. very hypothetical this but if all the assets eg mp and ibrox as well as car parks were used as collateral in emergency loans, and defaulted to easdales.. how would that affect an insolency event eg administration. admins would not be able to sell assets off to pay creditors, or would there be consequences for directors offering loans to an insolvent company?? is this a way of signing away assets in event of liquidation?
  5. £1.5 million doesnt even cover one months operating costs tho it may cover one months payroll run for football n non football staff, or perhaps vat...but any newco fans who think an emergency loan which couldnt be sourced from a reputable source is to be celebrated are utterly idiotic
  6. Not been on P&B since the last debacle...got sick of the bluenoses shouting at me for saying that the business plan was completely unsustainable.....all told you so aside...there are some major questions which need to be answered by Regan 1. if the newco licence was dependant on them having the business plan approved by the SFA, who at the SFA signed off on this?? Why did they sign off on plan which saw such a huge discrepancy between outgoings and income ( I mean outside of player spend as it was clear that MP and Ibrox running costs would outstrip operational income ) Either a fake plan was submitted, or the SFA employee responsible should be removed from office. 2. when they saw the player payroll rising so high on top of running costs, why was no action taken ? I maybe wrong but they were on conditional temp licence so they sfa could surely have stepped in 3. was the sign off on business plan done in the hope that they could finagle newco into top league early via restructuring despite the way that the clubs voted when newco first applied to join league? In addition the spfl needs to address how it could allow the possibility of a promotion in the event of the next admin event...it would be clear financial doping given that spending £14 million on players when you cant afford it is nothing other than cheating. Newco should have been kept on a very short leash indeed but have been allowed to splurge money to keep the glory hunting fans happy...well attendng anyway. Crikey Paul Hartley got a a part time squad promoted twice with a budget smaller than allys salad allowance !
  7. Leeds fans are one if the several scummy groups of fans from the seventies and eighties that have hillsborough blood on their hands because they made fences and riot policing seem like a reasonable response. Read lots of preachy stuff on hillsborough thread about how police policy was to treat football fans like animals ....but an easy strategy would have been not to behave like animals. Talksport had debate few weeks ago about how hooliganism was dead now and footy fans should be treated like Olympic or rugby fans but that simply isn't the case sadly.even when its prevented in stadia it still occurs around towns n cities
  8. The annual running costs for MP and ibrox are something like twelve million a year not inclusive of wages and green has claimed that the wage bill is six million. Even if you take these to be the only outgoings ie ignore transfers interest on green five n half million bank fees etc they are spending eighteen odd million with st sales only generating roughly nine n half million. Despite the naivety of the newco fans here bullishly claiming, there is no overspend its clear to anyone neutral that they're in dire trouble hence the desperation of a flotation
  9. And in addition to the fences and policing it allowed the police and press to cone up with disgraceful lies which seemed feasible to the public at large.
  10. Heard one last year talking anonymously and from the emotion in his voice he seemed kosher..was on talksport I think. He essentially said the police officers were only trained to deal with disorder and violence ...preparation for something like a crush didn't happen and when it started going wrong at hillsborough large numbers of police at all ranks just froze. He sounded truly haunted by it....the problem is assume most of us have with the police was that once it had gone wrong the reaction was to instigate arse covering rather than allowing ambulances in and taking the necessary steps to provide treatment. The subsequent behavior re taking blood alcohol readings looking on criminal databases leaking false stories in press and altering statements is sort of stuff you would expecting in a Stalinist state not a democracy
  11. One that stuck in my mind was an idiot blaming the Greek coppers cos it was entirely reasonable to try to charge into the stadium without a ticket. He was genuinely quite proud of his behavior!! It only takes a moron or two like that to make the syp cover up seem feasible to the masses.imo scumbags like that have helped besmirch the hillsborough victims and yet will happily join in the vigils with no sense of irony or shame
  12. The behavior of Liverpool fans in Athens also colours opinions! If ever a group of fans should be aware of how easily things can go wrong it should have been Liverpools. It isn't fair to demonise fans at hillsborough on basis of Athens but opinions aren't always formed on a purely rational and fair basis
  13. In ninety eight I got a virgin train from Chesterfield to Edinburgh for hogmanay that was same. There were seventeen people squeezed into the gap between carriages and the guard was still trying g to force people on board. It one guy to threaten him before he would stop.
  14. We take crowd control for granted these days but its an extremely complex difficult task requiring highly trained experienced personnel. On the rans admin thread it was asked why newco didn't punt some of its hundred odd non playing staff when they are in sfl three and irrespective of tupe one answer is that many will be employed to ensure safe access to and from ground on match days.
  15. People also got disorientated through panic and were pushing without knowing what direction to push in. Controversial as this may seem I have a certain sympathy for any junior officers who would have been trying to deal with something that they had no training for....though the subsequent cover up tempers this.
  16. Shows the power of the media though and just why likes of news international need to be properly controlled. Not same thing but I worked in cinemas for sixteen years and controlling queues was an essential part of business and I was on shift in a multiplex when a crush began to happen. Couple of screens came out late resulting in two thousand people leaving as two thousand were trying to get in resulting in four thousand people in a space nowhere near big enough. None were drunk and all had tickets and frankly it was terrifying trying to get control of it. We got emergency exits open and no one was hurt but people were pushing through sheer panic not rational decision making. Having inexperienced senior officers in charge of officers who were trained only for violent disorder in a facility that wasn't safe made a disaster inevitable irrespective of whether fans were sober or not.
  17. Tbf there's never been a major incident of crowd trouble at rugby. Fences were put up at football and all football fans were treated like animals because some fans acted like animals and indeed still do albeit nit in grounds because a lot of the thugs were priced out. Is it fair that all fans were demonised no...is it understandable? Yes....if you were to wander round many town centres on old firm Sundays in last few years you could easily if not accurately form the view the all old firm fans are drunken violent bigots. For me the fans in the seventies and eighties who were violent at football share some of the hillsborough blood for causing fences to be seen as a good idea and. Giving corrupt police the ability to form a vile cover up.
  18. Couldnt agree more even today with the original phone hacking investigation it was clear that the default police position is to cover up. Also as an aside the number of times that news international are involved in some way is disturbing. Its vital for any democracy to have transparent trustworthy policing and right now we dont have that
  19. I know some rangers fans hate being asked financial questions even to the point of insulting those who do astoundingly tho some of us on the interweb have got business experience and do know how to read a p & l and there is a fundamental lack of sustainability to the newco business model. I keep reading all is well cos of 37000 st sales and. reduced costs....ok let's actually look at that...st sales then come in at roughly nine n quarter million Ish...minus vat which I'm assuming newco will actually pay..lets call it seven n half million ...which doesn't even cover the losses when tax and ni were being dodged and money from Europe TV and spl boosted revenue.but but costs have been cut...but by how much tho?? Dnp cut player payroll by seventy five per cent and still oldco lost millions! Has the payroll really been cut by that much?? Anyone got verifiable figures? Can't see other costs like tax ni business rates water rates utilities policing insurance pitch maintenance building maintenance costs of goods ie suppliers and contractors services being cut in any way...yes seven n bit million is enough working capital to last a few months but its nowhere near enough to cover costs for a business that size in long term..it just isn't. Until rangers fans really address this instead of worrying about titles ebts etc they are going to let green rob them of their club
  20. It would be breathtakingly stupid given that the vat and hmrc people will be watching newco like a hawk....that said stupid and newco aren't unfamiliar with each other
  21. I dont get how they or indeed the MSM can be so blind. What's the excuse gonna be from the likes of traynor when newco folds?? journalist will they peddle out the 'im not a financial jounalist ' pish again?
  22. And Miller was looking at revenue streams of full houses at spl and Cl prices Cl and spl TV money and big sponsorship deals....yet you still every twenty odd pages get someone talking about newco strolling up the leagues in three years...
  23. Miller mentioned a thirty million shortfall ...when spl seemed a certainty and no one Really believed that newco would be forced to start in fourth tier. I genuinely dont get the mindset of newco fans...are they innumerate? Naive? Too used to the daily record? If it was my team I'd be kicking up a stink to get some real honest answers
  24. On phone so can't check link...someone earlier on God knows how many pages ago posted numbers foe business and water rates which were hefty and when you add in public and employee insurance policing payroll for a hundred non playing staff pitch and building maintenance contractors gas leccy tax ni vat suppliers etc its clear that business costs can't be covered let alone players wages and the three million footy debt
  25. I suspect this someone on ff is massively out with their arithmetic...at what two hundred and fifty quid per st that adds up to only six and a quarter million..(assuming the twenty five thousand st sales isn't complete guff)...they were losing twice that last season with spl and Cl TV money prize money and ticket prices. The fact so many newco fans and the msm are oblivious to this is astonishing. They dont seem to be making any attempt to seriously rationalise.
