What do cowden fans make of hemmings?

Is this gomis felly any good? Not going to lie, i know nothing about him bar he played for dundee utd. What type of midfielder is he? We need a bit of presence in midfield, an almost barr/black type role as i don't think hamill did that very well. Will he be able to play that role?

If I'm honest I've not been too impressed by him.Again he's shown flashes of brilliance but he's lazy and arrogant. Not too sure if it was due to the hype before he started getting game time with us but I'd much rather have Nicholson king and maybe even smith out there before him He really needs an attitude check if he wants to get back into the first team. Mchatties game becomes 10x harder when walker plays because he just doesn't track back at all.

I haven't seen enough of Mcghee to make a judgement tbh. He's looked fantastic and really settled when he's been in the team, although he's not had enough game time to go through rough spells like the rest of them. It's hard to judge any of them at the moment because they've all at one point or another shown real good talent but it would be silly to think we could produce a full team of youth who will go onto play professional football at a decent level... i think That stanton used to be in my friends group and he was well quiet and never boasted about being a footballer or anything. Infact it wasn't until i seen him come on the tv well after we stopped hanging around together that i realised he played for hibs! Good lad, head screwed on and definitely looks like he's got a bright future ahead of him. The birsds love him aswell In terms of arguing amongst fans, there's really no point in being on P&B if you're going to get genuinely wound up by other fans. I'm sure us big clubs will be back in the top flight where we belong sooner rather than later anyway.

Think the only player anyone would pick up just now is Paterson. Looks pretty comfortable at this level and is probably ready to move onto the next step as it is. IMO anyway. Not disregarding the youth, we've got a lot of good young players there but need a bit more time to ''learn the game'' Holt and nicholson will go on to have fantastic careers if they keep going the way they are just now. Who have hibs got left in terms of youth players? Surprised no ones come in for Stanton or Cummings yet. Been disapointed by Harris everytime i've seen him. He looked shit hot in that semi final against aberdeen i think it was but i haven't seen him match that since. I'm surprised he wasn't launched with the rest tbh.

In terms of the strip, i like the sentiment of the 'sponsor' but it would've been good if they could've just chucked it in a rectangular box or something. Despite wonga being pretty decent to us in the past few years, i'm glad that big speech bubble is at least away from the kits.

Mchattie is one of the weaker links in our team tbf. I don't think hes a bad player, i just think hes struggled lasting the full season with no one to challenge his spot at all. Or give him a bit of rest. I dont think it's helped in that the wingers want to bomb forward, often leaving him a bit exposed. Walker was absolutely shocking for that. Hopefully we can get a full back in to provide him a bit of competition as i reckon it'll be good for him. There's been games where hes just absolutely bossed the left side though, cracking talent hopefully he can be a big player for us in the future.

Maybe i'm being a glass half empty about him but just didn't see that at all from him. From someone who had come from spurs set up aswell i was expecting much more. Hardly expecting us to get a gareth bale but thats 3 players we've had that i can remember of the top of my head we've had from down south who haven't really been anything we don't already have, or better. I always thought it was bizarre bringing on Tapping when we were in the lead to see out the game, but bringing of someone like hamill or robinson. Hopefully he comes good eventually, more game time in the championship will no doubt bring the best out in him.

I've always felt he's been a passenger in games. He's not physical enough to hold his own in the middle of the park, he hasn't got the touches like Holt to beat a player and he hasn't got the physical strength of say jamie hamill to hold off a player and pass the ball on. I couldn't even tell you what type of midfielder he is, he just doesn't seem to do much at all. Not to belittle the championship but he might actually be able to do alright for himself down there and refine his game. He started of just as raw as any of the other players at the start of the season but didn't seem to progress at all. Whether that's down to not getting as much game time or he just isn't as good i'm not sure. Despite him not being a stand out i've always liked him and wanted him to do well so hopefully he can turn it around this season, or do really shite if he goes to you

Tbf hibs managers never get to actually build a team with their players. It seems to be that hibs manager comes in, gets lumped with old managers players. Eventually gets to bring in some of his own players then gets emptied. And repeat. For all the times they ripped into us for our amount of managers, they've had some turnover in the manager department anaw

A few of our players were real stand outs in the championship a few seasons ago, so i'm pretty confident our current players have what it takes to challenge for the top, never mind a play off position. Jamie walker at raith rovers springs to mind, he was what? 17/18 when he was there and he looked a real talent. I think our squad is going to be pretty dominant next season. Just depends how much cash rangers spunk away again this season, or if they'll be sensible. We've got decent foundations there of a good team, just need to make some additions and hopefully neilson/levein pick the right ones that suit in with our current style ie. no signing a big huddy upfront. You'd need to be blind not to see the improvement Carrick made to the squad so i can't see them doing that.
