  1. Whether they're a 'big' club or not. I imagine the SFA/EPL will come down hard on the SU manager. Similar comments on a club's official site may/should bring sanctions to the club.
  2. It's now the King. Do keep up. I don't care personally, but no doubt the Sevco bigots will think your indifference to royal family matters marks you out as a ****** B******.
  3. There’s a very good reason - the whistle hasn’t gone. The referee makes these decisions, not the linesman or the players.
  4. I’d have thought you’d be better if they didn’t train with the current coach and squad.
  5. Why did the ties all kick off at 1400? Is that some quaint local tradition?
  6. Only 6-8 weeks for a full recovery, according to NHS. Probably less for a fit athlete.
  7. The Equality Act 2010 outlaws discrimination on grounds of race, which is defined to include nationality.
  8. East League? Time stands still in the Junior world ...
  9. Would you like to revise that prediction in light of the results so far?
  10. If there were any millions to count you wouldn't be in this mess.
  11. Nor will Birmingham City. As Jasper Carrot used to say, "City will be in Europe next year ...... If there's a war."
  12. I hear Luis Rubiales may be open to job offers. No stranger to New Douglas Park
  13. Indeed. Strange 19th century episode which also gave us Forfarshire, Haddingtonshire and Linlithgowshire. And Scotland became North Britain - not very popular. I recall reading that disgruntled post office employees would redirect any mail addressed to "N.B." to New Brunswick. It would take months to make its way to the intended recipient.
  14. No, I was thinking of Farnborough. It was a bit longer ago than I remembered (old age problem!), as the game was switched to Highbury, not the Emirates. It was still officially a Farnborough home game, so that explains the record you've found. And the fact that Arsenal wore their away kit. See http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/fa_cup/2671825.stm
  15. It happens in England. A few years ago some non-league club drew Arsenal at home. Their ground was allegedly too small, and they eagerly agreed to switch to the Emirates and a financial bonanza. Of course they lost by a barrowload, whereas they might just have caused a surprise at home. It caused a lot of adverse comment, and IIRC it was reported that it wouldn't be allowed in Scotland.
  16. And people wonder why there's an obesity epidemic.
  17. The "Team of the Week" concept in itself is tin-pot. Arguing about it is even more so.
  18. Indeed. So exactly the same as the Juniors until very recently.
  19. As explained by Jacksgranda above, the Highland League teams were always senior.
  20. Imagine a country where all strangers are addressed as "Jimmy" ...
