You are pretty much a shoe in.

Cant see it being anyone other than EK, Bo’ness, Cumbernauld and Tranent now.

I had a look at the remaining fixtures for those 4 + Albion Rovers and the Rose.    Still lots of tricky games ahead for all the teams.

Excluding the B teams I predict it will be

    1) East Kilbride

    2) Cumbernauld Colts

    3) Tranent

    4) Boness United.

Rose or Albion will challenge us for 4th place but I think we can just keep ahead of them.

Sounds like Mitchell’s doing well for you. How’s he being used?

Kieran Mitchell has mainly been playing wide right.

When KM plays as a no 9 he looks  more dangerous.

  3. That was a really tough game today.

The BU's ground out a win and 3 points but truth be told it could so easily have been a defeat.  Big Musa pulled off a vital penalty save to stop it going to 0-2 which was so important.  After that both teams tried to establish dominance with the BU's taking a late goal to snatch the points.

Lots of puff and effort by the BU's today.   There were a few mistakes today but the team stuck together and got the points.

Tough games lie ahead, let's enjoy the Victory.

  4. A couple of BU fans had a pop at Ryan Stevenson for his performance last night.  I thought he had a good game considering he frequently was facing a 1 v 2 or 2 v 3 situation.  This was because Kieran Mitchell for large parts of the game ignored his defensive responsibilities.

Daramola is really rapid and I don't think there's a fullback at this level who can match him in a foot race.  The way to reduce his influence is to stop the midfielders playing the pass.  Against EK that is hard as they have quality in midfield.

Sure Big Hunter will set up differently in the LL game in a few weeks.

Not in that away end they didn't.

There was about 12 people in there.

I didn't know there was an away end !!      I was between the roped off executive seats and the drum banging ultras.    Lots of BU fans in that area.

  6. Good conditions for the trip to EK today in the LL Cup.

The EK squad comprising almost 300 mercenary hoor players will be the red hot favourites but you never know the plucky BU minnows could maybe, just maybe pull off a cup shock.

Gary Hanvidge is the referee this evening.  He was in charge of the Gretna 1 BU 2 game in December.  I don't remember making any complaints that day.

    Mon the BU's !!!

  7. The BU's were really good in the first half and the game was won after 45 mins.

With a strong bench available and mindful of a trip to EK on Tuesday the 5 changes in the second half were the right thing to do. Getting minutes in the legs is important.
