As Alan said it's big boy rules now. 3 game ban for the more serious reds. 1 game ban for softer reds which includes double yellows. 6 yellows = a one game ban.....and I think a second set of 6 yellows is a 2 game ban.
Too chilly today for the mankini. With Hunter suspended I am sure big Alden El-Zubadi will get a start. On a windy day you can expect loads of high balls. Mon the BU's !!!
Weather for the trip to Burntisland on Saturday looks like it will be dry, a cool 7C and it will be breezy. Main thing is it being dry as there is heehaw shelter. Jamboness is getting excited and has his beachwear looked out.................."very nice"
So it was a 2-3 win for Haddington at Hill O'Beath tonight in the Alex Jack Cup. So it's a trip to Haddington in the semi final on the 20th October. Bring it on.
The person who organises the team should surely be the manager. I can't have a pop at Kegs for his team selection as he knows best as to who is fit and sharp but there are times when he appears reluctant to take off crocked or clearly out of form players. As for his input from the dugout it's probably best described as wishy washy when at times it's the Fergie hairdrier that's required.
The referee was awful but he wasn't helped by both sets of players. Each team had several players who wanted to ref the game and there was acting, diving and cheating all over the park. All added to the mix of The Beautiful Game.
Michael Gemmell running over and wildly celebrating the Boness winner in front of the Tranent fans is retaliation for the abuse dished out to his mum by the same Neanderthals the last time the BU's visited.
To go from winning 2-1 to losing 2-3 so late in a game is a sickener for Tranent and their fans. Two well matched teams and a very competitive game in the sunshine. Result could have gone either way. Plenty of effort and passion on display with wee battles all over the park. Hugely enjoyable.
To keep the Rose fans happy I should add the referee is poor ..........but it's to both sides detriment. Some ridiculously soft bookings not helped by some of the Tranent players play acting.
