  1. Speculate away on the finances but the recruitment looks bang on at the moment. The Southampton boys on 3 year deals, Spong on 2, Paton on a 3 year deal (maybe length of contract blew others out the water?) - all got very good sell-on potential, especially if we can develop them via Bueker-ball. Healy, Dom, Jarrett (who I thought was class at times last night) and Savoury to come back in.. Really-really exciting attacking team shaping up here. And Barry Hepburn is going to absolutely rinse a good few full backs this year.
  2. The concern shown by other supporters is quite touching really… probably more concern being shown than if we’d been relegated out of League 2 into the Lowland, which is almost certainly what would have happened if we hadn’t voted to go pro. Fair to say at that stage most of us thought our natural level would have been league 1… a fair chunk would have been happy with that and it might well even turn out to be the case. But if a team was starting from scratch, trying to do something different and put a long term ‘footballing’ plan in place - it would look a lot like this. So yeah, I’m going to enjoy the ride.
  3. So last years line about kids prices being high because of limited seats and they’d “revisit when capacity was increased” was just more bullshit, then?
  4. This one with Gus from 2014 kept coming up when I was trying to get todays paywall link. https://archive.ph/aZhaY
  5. We’re well used to the club making an arse of things only to be bailed out by Coyle and the team - so let’s give that one more push. Even though we’ve been off the boil we’ve still got match-winners all over the pitch and the ideal manager to lead them into this type of game. Bring it on.
  6. Hopefully this puts to bed who’s really been fucked over in this process…. but no, the Dundee fans will still be pissing and moaning all over the shop. Glad Dundee have fixed their shitey tone in the latest statement and we’ve got some thanks/ acknowledgment. I eagerly await the apology from QP.
  7. You’re fair shaping up as the walloper’s walloper on this one, aren’t you?
  8. This is probably about as fair a way as they could do it as this stage... but not looking great for extra tickets... https://queensparkfc.co.uk/can-you-help-a-spiders-fan-attend-on-friday/
  9. Hahahahahahahahahahshshahahsgaghahshahshshshsgshshshs….. thunk.
  10. Really hope the wider QP fan base isn’t affected by this decision. Looks like it was going to be members and season tix get first dibs, then open up to the rest come Monday. QP with at least the main stand and behind the goals to the right. Highly dignified bitchin and morning aside, I kinda suspect Dundee would have got more tickets anyway once that process was complete. Not sure how stewarding and segregation could / would work in that covered away end - wonder if that’s had a part to play as much as anything.
  11. Awww man, wid laugh my cock off if Dundee shite it against Cove…
  12. Glad to see you’ve stopped greetin about refs long enough to hit out with this pish.
  13. That squad size thing is interesting. I wonder if we might have seen some more of the youth / fringe players coming in if we weren't challenging?
  14. Shite league. Didnae want to win it anyway. (‘mon the Arbroath)
  15. I'd hoped that Shields and Henderson between them could have bridged that gap. Shields had done okay but just hasn't worked for Henderson yet. Still plenty of time for them both to make a big impact.
  16. My big fear a while back was that we’d mantelpiece thistle in the league and then get pumped off them in the play-offs… maybe got bigger fears now to be honest. Always going to be ups and downs with a young team - hopefully this is us getting a blip out of the way before the proper business end. Friday will tell us a lot.
  17. Such a young team will always have dips in form and it’s been a pretty stable side this year too, so some bound to be a bit leggy - but this feels like a big momentum switch. Ooge stuff on Friday. Cometh the hour, cometh the Eze.
  18. My babysitting coupons are decimated by Friday night ‘away’ football.
  19. Some of my worst experiences watching QP were the The Rangers games in that post-liquidation season. Regardless of income it was absolutely toxic and I can't imagine taking my kids to them if/when it comes to it. The irony of getting humped out of Hampden, touring round the country for 3 years, being unable to add to the supporter base while we've been doing well, to end up back at Hampden... yep, it's a new and exciting model alright...
