  1. Exciting matches, good to see League, B teams and non-leagues into the next round to play the foreign teams This competition is excellent, people crying about it will not change a jot... it’s staying
  2. Hopefully Berwick will win. They need a cup run even if their fans hate this cup
  3. Great draw. Love the colts in it. Dundee United fans will be fucked off if they lose
  4. The format is exciting. Sutton and Boreham Wood are better and bigger then Highland & Lowland teams. I’m massively in favour for the b teams to remain in the comp
  5. Easiest way of doing the Pyramid Highland & Lowland (Tier 5) North, East & West (Tier 6) Feeders below
  6. Whats the point of Junior Football in the 21st Century. Clubs in the past have had no ambition or wanted to be big fish in small ponds while their supporters boasted about attendances like it really meant something, and the Senior Club supports just laughed and carried on with more ambition. Senior Clubs and Admins have always been good to their Junior counterparts, Open to join their leagues, Scottish Cup, Extra money via sponsorships. Now the SJFA have been dinosaurs for years have finally realised that the country and time has progressed and they are rushing to join in... and still some clubs are not playing ball. East and West of Scotland leagues which could happen or increase in the next 2 years will be a postive and major thing to happen to the development of Scottish Football. And i cannot wait for the day it happens. Junior Football should have died in the 1990s.
  7. Exciting times for the East of Scotland League
  8. I salute the clubs who have the balls and ambition to be making a move to the East of Scotland League. 2 divisions of 16 will be interesting and exciting and the junior clubs will not regret it. Hope that the SFA will give them a cash reward as a thank you Junior set up is old, past it and very bigoted. They wanted their cake and eat it and did so. The Junior Cup can remain in the pyramid it can be packaged better and could become like the FA Trophy in England
  9. They should not be able to play in the Scottish Cup
  10. Personally if no junior team wants in to the pyramid then the SFA should fine them and if it forces them to go under..... who cares as horrible as that may sound Junior football is from a bygone era. Sure it had its purpose then, it doesn’t now and it’s not going to come back and the bigots who are involved in it belong in the past too We need to evolve and get better, scraping the juniors will be just the start
  11. Both have done excellent jobs and work is still taking shape
  12. I would like to see more relegation from Scottish league. Some clubs really do tread water like Clyde, ambitious Junior teams or BSC Glasgow would be better served in the Scottish League
  13. Junior clubs have to wake up and smell the coffee Kelty Hearts did and they have improved as a club
  14. Good post Lewis Hutchison shouldn’t have been released but if Aberdeen had a B Team he would’ve been playing football week in week out Development is the key and clubs need support as well
  15. Rangers & Celtic have given a lot to Scotland & Scottish Football This request for a colt team should go through without a vote IMO McNally’s comments are not needed or add anything.
  16. Football manager Scotland Researcher “Ter” is highly in favour of the plans “There is a lot of benefits to the teams in League Two as well. - 2 year pilot scheme - B-Teams play all matches away from home - 250 tickets per match guaranteed from away supporters (number will be much higher than that in reality) - Teams have their own identity, manager, coaches and players and they can only move to parent club in transfer windows It isn't a new concept to Scotland anyway. Stranraer and Annan have reserve teams playing in the South of Scotland League (Level 6) and Stirling University have their reserves in East of Scotland League (Level 6) one step below the Lowland League where their senior team play. If they aren't voted in to League Two then it will likely be the Lowland League with it changing to have a West/East split and other interested teams able to join. They've just never progressed far enough to ask the question. Hibs had their reserve team in one of the lower divisions a few seasons ago and were humping teams 10-0 most weeks and would probably have progressed enough to ask the question but they scrapped it to cut costs after they got relegated. I don't think the expanding to 12 teams to fit in Rangers/Celtic B teams is the answer either. It needs to come as part of an overall restructure and allow all teams to have B-Teams at the appropriate levels of the pyramid. Hopefully more junior teams will join the pyramid as well like Kelty and Dalkeith. Having young players playing competitive football will really benefit them, their clubs and the national team and I think it is worth exploring even if it doesn't work out after the 2 years. Nothing to lose really for the teams in League Two and some real increased revenue. If Queen's Park get relegated to League Two and get Rangers/Celtic on board to promote games against them then they could get a big crowd to Hampden for example”
  17. I would like more pressure from the SFA. Fines & penalties will get the clubs voting for it. Oh and the fans boycott will not help your club lol
  18. An 18 year old midfielder from Celtic can go on loan to Arbroath have a bad game due to style of football, manager drops him and he has no other football The loan system will remain in place. Drivel or not. Clubs need their young players playing a certain way We should be looking at developing class players for Scotland not worried about Arbroath who never give much to Scottish Football I want the best teams in Scotland to compete in Europe, and Scotland to do well. Arbroath is far from my thoughts Sorry if it’s hurts
  19. A. League 2 clubs could benefit from extra money like I said in the opening post B. The same clubs that want to stay in the Highland & Lowland Leagues? Nothing but they will still be able to get promoted C. A lot more players (18-21) will play within the old firm teams and they will develop a footballing DNA D. Who knows I believe it could benefit them having OF cast offs who don’t make it and they will have a 21 year old with 100 appearances and more experience then most E. A chance to develop together and form a footballing DNA. And to improve quality of football within the lower leagues F. Will improve massively and will encourage more B Teams
  20. Im a big fan of B teams and believe it will work to the benefit of everyone in Scottish Football, amount of kids playing in lower leagues will increase. I do believe that a bit of money should go to the teams way , which they could spend on upgrading their clubs WIN WIN
