The likes of Harris/ Stanton/ Handling are all being bulliedi into walking away from their contracts without a pay off by Hibs. The problem last season is that they had players like Scott Allan/ Fraser Fyvie/ Dylan McGeough ahead of them last season so couldn't get in the team. Harris was obviously allowed to go on loan last season however Stanton was seen to be too useful off the bench as he can play across the midfield and in behind the striker. I'm led to believe Hartley is keen on signing both Harris and Stanton on permanent contracts however can't meet the wages they are currently on at Hibs.

Would take Lithgow in a heartbeat. Known quantity in this division, would be a solid signing for any of the part time teams in this league.

You guys seemed to have signed ex-Rangers keeper Scott Gallacher. Will he be your No.1 or No.2? We had him on loan for a few months last season and he was very ordinary. Made a couple of absolute howlers. Then again we had about 8 keepers last season. He was definitely in the top 7.

Big Joe was a colossus in Cowdenbeath's championship winning season, but since then he's looked a bombscare at Stenny and your lot. Crazy how far part-time players can fall so quickly.

Apologies if this has been discussed before. Are Morton going to retain their full time status next season in League 1? I sincerely hope not as I would fancy us to challenge for the league title otherwise. If you were to go part time would you keep any of your players or would it be a complete clear out? Would Shiels stay?

To be honest, that was my inital thoughts too. Good news. Good to hear. We already play a centre half in the centre of midfield, so he'll fit in fine.. Hope he doesn't end up like the other players we've signed this season that are 'too good for League One'.

According to our OS, we have signed ex-Livi defender Craig Barr. Although I recognise the name, I can't say I remember ever seeing him play. The OS also says that he will be playing as a midfielder. Thoughts?

When Dryhorce wasn't about to spout pish in every thread

We've already shipped an English boy into this team because 'he has a Scottish grandmother'. I find that utterly ridiculous at that age. I can almost understand at full international level because you have to choose the best players at our disposal to be competitive - but the only reason we have the likes of Morrison, Rhodes, Martin etc in our team is because there aren't enough good Scottish players playing at a good level. Surely the way around that is to bring proper Scottish young players through? Baffling.
