Even more baffling when you think that two of those three midfielders are Paul McKay and Josh Kerr. Both offer so little. Kerr’s passing accuracy must be one of the worst in the league.

Agreed. Both East Fife & Montrose are decent but not great League One sides and we’ve completely and utterly failed to break them down. We’re now only one point ahead of that honking Peterhead team. Awful.

Iain Murray is a fucking charlatan. No matter how this ends up we’ve been hopeless again. The fact he’s just made another triple substitution replacing the front three tells me he’s ran out of ideas. We shouldn’t be struggling to break down teams week in week out with the players we have in our squad. We have a very good squad for this level and Murray simply isn’t getting anywhere near the best out of it.

Gallagher up front = comfortable Airdrie win. I don’t make the rules.

It doesn’t look like we’ll get anything from this game now. We just do not seem able to get our foot on the ball in the final third. Think we need to make a change here.

Surprised to see East Fife starting so poorly this season. What’s gone wrong?

Well, that was another straightforward league victory. That front four, on their day, look frighteningly good. Long may it continue. Murray took Gallagher off and shored it up a bit in the second half, otherwise we could have scored a couple more. Even then, McKay should have buried his opportunity near the end. Forfar looked a bit better second half, but probably due to Airdrie sitting in a bit more. Big game now against Cove next week who will be looking to bounce back after their defeat this afternoon.

Airdrie could score a bucket load of goals here...

It’s terrible watching the football without any commentary. I guess we can’t complain too much at least we’re getting to watch the game.

Is there any chance of us finishing second if we win against Livi and end up with a better goal difference? Or does it go to H2H first?

I’d like to see a few boys get some game time tonight, I’d go: Hutton McDonald - Kerr - Mbayo - McCann Ritchie - Sabatini O’Reilly - Stokes - Robert Connell

P.s. Robert doesn’t offer much in a defensive sense but my goodness he’s quality going forward

Really disappointed with Murray’s selection here. Kerr has done very little so far in the first two league games but it’s Sabatini that is dropped? He’s been one of the standouts so far this season. Murray also seems intent on playing Thomson every week despite him offering very little. Would have much preferred to see O’Reilly on from the start. Pretty turgid performance so far.

FFS.
