  1. Only two I’d be bothered about losing are Currie and Kerr. Currie proved to be a very good goalkeeper - I don’t think I can remember a single error he made out with the play off final when he parried the ball straight into Muirhead’s path. Kerr showed a lot of promise when he was eventually moved to CB at the end of the season and I’d like to see him continue in that position. McCann has been good in spells for us, and will no doubt go on to have a good career above this level, but I don’t think he’s irreplaceable. Walker just didn’t offer enough going forward for a wing back. McKay was solid enough towards the end of his time with us but didn’t offer a great deal beyond a long throw.
  2. That’s the only team that I can see him moving to “above us” in the pecking order. He’s played well against them a few times so they’re likely to be the only ones daft enough to sign him. I’m assuming Paul McKay was offered a new deal and turned it down based on the timeline of the announcement. If that’s the case I find it hilarious that we’ve all spent two years moaning about him being first name on the team sheet (myself included) only for him to up and leave of his own volition. Cheerio Paul. Suspect O’Reilly will end up in League 2 somewhere. Decent player in there but not consistent enough.
  3. The first few signings will really be an indicator of our intent this season. Craig Watson from East Fife is our first.... unimpressed. Don’t see him as better than Fordyce/ Kerr/ even McKay. I wonder if that means one of them is leaving.
  4. I’m not as excited as some others appear to be by this signing as he’s coming to the end of his career so is unlikely to be the same player he was a few years ago. However I’m happy that Murray’s got his own assistant for the first time in three years. I’ve no doubt he’ll contribute plenty in the season to come.
  5. Would be quite happy to come away from today without defeat and bring them back to Broomfield on Tuesday, albeit I think we’re very capable of winning today given our recent form. It’ll be interesting to see how we set up today. We had good success down the wings against Cove last time out. Maybe start Thomson over Carrick?
  6. Surprised to see only one change tonight. No excuses not to win this now and continue our momentum.
  7. As much as I’d like to go out and put a few past Falkirk, I think the sensible approach would be to rest a few of our key players ahead of the play offs. With this in mind I’d line up something like: Currie P McKay - Crighton - Kerr - Walker Ritchie - Sabatini Thomson - Stokes - Robert Roy I would still like to think that team would compete well enough, particularly given Falkirk’s recent form.
  8. It would be lovely if Peterhead could do us a favour here after we gave you 3 points a few weeks ago
  9. That’s as bad a miss as I’ve ever seen. Fucking hell how did Gallagher miss that?!
  10. Dumb and dumber are offering absolutely nothing down the right side for us here. Let’s get Robert on the right hand side of midfield for the second half - he’s at least able to beat a man!
  11. Delighted to be proved wrong here (however if it wasn’t for a howler from the Montrose keeper I’d have been right!!)
  12. Bizarrely we’ve not played particularly well but we’ve had enough chances to win this. You just know we’ll lose this one though.
  13. Despite how poor a position we look in, a draw wouldn’t be a bad result here with Forfar to play at home on Tuesday. We need to be far more clinical here though, that’s a few good chances we’ve squandered.
  14. It’s an absolute disgrace we’ve got ourselves into a position where we’re forced to play the two McKay twins no matter what. Robert & Sabatini are good players for this level but nowhere near good enough to justify this arrangement we appear to be in with McKay Snr.
  15. We’re going to have to go 2-1 down before Murray makes any changes here.
  16. You just get the feeling we’re going to regret missing all these chances.
  17. This low sun is causing havoc with the cameras. Hopefully should sort itself in the next 10-15 mins.
  18. Jack McKay is a fucking liability. An absolute disgrace that Murray persists with him over Robert, Carrick or Connell. Whether that’s Murray’s choice or not is up for debate.
  19. You just know we’re going to lose 1-0 as well how
  20. Jack McKay at right back? I must have missed that article. Terrifying.
  21. Good to see the league suspension hasn’t had any effect on Ian Murray... I’ve not a fucking clue how we’ll be set up today based on that lineup
  22. Absolutely delighted with that signing, albeit I’m reluctant to give the manager or the club too much credit as it appears it maybe fell into their lap... The best thing about this signing is that it’ll force Murray to move McKay out of midfield into right back. I liked MacDonald but he shouldn’t be too much of a miss as we’re well covered at right back. Bring on the remainder of the season!! I’d like to see us line up on Saturday: Currie McKay - Crighton - Fordyce - McCann Turner - Sabatini Robert - Carrick - Connell Gallagher
  23. Another predictably disgraceful performance against lesser opposition. If Murray was going to be sacked he would have been weeks ago, so buckle up ladies and gentlemen for the rest of the season. I understand the need to give some of the fringe players game time, but surely not at the expense of any semblance of formation? I couldn’t figure out who was playing CM (apart from Kerr) or indeed what formation we were playing at all. I’m fully expecting another frustrating end to the season in 4th/ 5th place.
