  1. Celtic on the last day needing a win for the title?

Any Hearts fans wish to comment?

For me, Killie can't be caught, they have pushed on when we've stagnated. No shade at us or Robinson, but it's just happened that way. Well done to them.

The important thing is to keep ahead of Dundee, and we should be able to do that, and let the chips land regarding possible Euro qualification.

If you had been paying attention to even the comments on here or the Misery Hunters podcast I thought you would pick up that I was referring to @SS77

He even got a bit of friendly banter from his podcast pals about his comments online about Zach.

SS77 hopefully knows I’m only pulling his leg.

Think you need to lighten up a little @Ric 😊

When I posted my (correct for the time) stuff, I was pretty much jumped upon, and it has been dragged up several times, I just assumed that was the case here.

I never listen to Misery Hunters. As for here, I only fleetingly bother with this site any more.

I distinctly remember some Saints fans at the start of this season absolutely crucifying the manager for his choice of first team goalkeeper after the Carson “toys out the pram” debacle.

For the life of me I just can’t remember which Saints fans were so vocal and having a major panic attack about Robinson going through the whole season with a certain Zach Hemming. 🤔

Come on, just name me, because it is clear that's who you mean...

I was absolutely right to highlight how bad Hemming's previous season was, simply because it was horrendously bad; a mix of poor performances, injury and personal issues leading to him being dropped. In fact it would be crazy not to mention that, because the reverse is absolutely true; if he had had a great season it would have been touted in every post about him. "Sauce for the goose..", and all that

What I didn't do, though, is have a running commentary on his performances. He has been at fault several times, but I've not specifically called him out about it, and I have praised him when he has been a standout. Has Hemming performed much (much) better than the previous season? Yes, he has, and I have been quick to acknowledge that.

Would I like to see him brought in permanently? Sure, I think he's proven himself. Something he didn't do last season with Killie.

As for Gogic, the lad is 30 (well.. he will be tomorrow!), and is probably looking at his last big pay packet. He is an international regular and has just helped get his team into a league position they haven't been in in decades. He has to be looking around thinking that he can get a little more cash in perhaps a higher profile league.

Would I "push the boat" out for him? No idea, because I have no visibility over whom Robinson may think of replacing him with and what they would cost. Would I like to see us put money towards his renewal that would weaken other areas of our team? Obviously not. If we consider Gogic as a defender who can cover midfield (rather than the reverse) I guess we need to look at who we'll have there next season.

They should restart the gender thread again. That was some carry on aswell 👀

Are you willing to post a picture of your girlfriend or wife in here and have people make personal statements about how they look, or whether they would like to f**k them? What's more, once you'd done that, get that person to read those comments and ask how they feel about randoms objectifying them.

You must be willing to do that, after all "It's just a statement of fact surely?" as you claim.

Edit: I have assumed here, that you are hetero, and thus would have a female partner.

Man this post IS creepy. Talking about pieces of meat and my penis. WTAF.

The irony meter is currently overloaded. It's a real shame you are unable to understand the affect of your actions.

Tam Cowan himself comes out with worse than calling someone "pretty hot" on a weekly basis so i assume you dunt actually listen to the show.

Exactly the reason Cowan should not be on air.

Because whatever standards it used to have are long gone in the pursuit of rage bait and shock headlines

Yeah, I mean it's still effectively a tabloid, just like others and so has to play by the clickbait title headlines.

That said, if you are talking rage bait and shock then the litany of hateful right wing mags based in London outdo the National in spades.

    OK snowflake. 👍 😀

How old are you? If you are a boomer, then that is exactly the sort of response I'd expect. Society is moving and you need to read the room.

Here's the thing, it's called respect. In the context of a football show, don't sexually objectify people. As I said, if this was Love Island where sex and physical appearance are what drives the show, then fine, the person knows what the focus of the show will be.

Ultimately If you see nothing wrong with it, then you really should go and talk to women who are constantly being judged and objectified without their consent or knowledge. It might change your mind about how insidious and creepy it is being seen as a slab of meat that's only merit is how good your penis would feel if it came in contact with them.

Let me be clear here, I'm not red dotting people, I'm not calling them out by name, I'm not reporting them to the mods, but I would be pretty disappointed if a good majority of people don't see the point I am making.

Eh? It's just a statement of fact surely?

She's on the show to discuss football, objectifying her seems a bit much.

If she was on Love Island, fine I'd get it, but discuss her knowledge of football, not her looks.

That's the way I see it, just feels a bit creepy imo.

  9. I absolutely do not miss being in the mix for relegation. Those 6 pointers at the end of the season are a nightmare.

For me, the bottom two stay the bottom two.

Don't know what County fans think of Cowie but at least he's not Adams, and I'm unsure if he's improved/stabilised that side, but Levein seems "too clever"(*) to not get enough out of St Johnstone to keep the gap.

    Spoiler

(*) That is the sort of comment that comes back to bite you!

    No.

    Bottled it today.

You have to consider the game against Rangers as a "free hit", it's your game in hand and they are pushing for the title. I think you can take Aberdeen in that final game before the split, and you only need a draw.

Do we want Europe, if it means a trip to Diddyville in Wales, or some far flung corner of Azerbaijan? Damn right we should. The alternative is to hope we finish 6th and don’t make it? Nah, not for me. Bring it on. I want to see the UEFA flag flying in the corner of the ground, and Gianni Infantino flying in again to watch his favourite team in Europe.

From a fans perspective it's always going to be a yes. Even if you don't go to the games because they are 7 timezones away next to a war zone, it's nice to see your team in the mix.

I was more meaning from a club's point of view. Didn't St Johnstone lose a ton of money from their last European sojourn? Or Motherwell for that matter?

No chance we're adding numbers to the squad to allow for Europe. We wouldn't be in it for long enough to justify the outlay. We should run a lean squad, but use any additional budget to improve the quality.

Same numbers as this year, but overall improvement, is what we should be looking for.

I get that. The issue I feel is that the minute you run a lean squad you'll start getting Tanser, or O'Hara or Strain out with long term injuries. The classic Murphy's Law effect.

    Of course.

My comments are invariably “tongue in cheek” on P&B.

No problems.. I think we are all hoping for that McGinn transfer!
