I haven’t seen a backside as big as Semple’s since Mark Haro.  It gives him a low centre of gravity and he is strong as a bull... but he isn’t speedy.

I saw a tweet about Boyle on Sunday night.  If Boyle signs I guess that Morris is going to be out for the season.  Boyle didn’t set the heather on fire at Dundee.

Where does all that leave Grivosti?

I do miss the days of seeing MARK HARD on Sky Sports news.

    One more question

Is there really no hope for Sean Kelly?

I've not really seen him up close but is he just crap or could he be a good player for us with a run of games in the team?  I think he was quite well thought of at St Mirren when coming through alongside Jason Naismith etc

He's the total opposite of Kenny- decent with the ball at his feet and can occasionally ping a worldie of a pass, but for a guy who must be near 6'3" he's abject at physical situations.

  2. Isle of Dogs the worst Wes Anderson film I've seen, which means its still pretty decent. Looks great, has a brilliant cast and the soundtrack is seriously good. However, the plot is seriously wafer thin. Still a fun watch.

    7/10

Three Billboards out of Ebbing, Missouri Good performances from Harrelson, McDormand (when is she not good) and Rockwell but it's not quite what it's been hyped up to be.

I'm really likely the way Ketts and Ferg are doing their business in the transfer market, including the summer. There's clearly a long-term plan in place for the type of player they want and they're not scared to give youngsters who have impressed at smaller clubs a chance as we build for the future.

I also like how it's just us signing the same players who tend to ping around the lower levels of the top flight and upper levels of the second tier and rotate clubs, much like managers.

What I've heard about both I've liked, so very happy with our business so far.

Not really, he's never really been a regular goal scorer at this level and didn't score that much for us last season at all.

    He's not great out wide.

He's the ony player outside of Midge and Mullin that is willing to take players on either inside or outside. DKD has struggled this season as he just isn't willing to go on the outside and Midge prefers to go inside though he can go out if needed. His final ball is often rubbish but there's far worse options out wide like Stewart.

And yeah, I didn't realise McManus got most of his goals at Morton while they were in League One.

  5. Having done some contracting work for the Home Office/Immigration Service a few years back, I can only confirm that they're a complete mess, with teams doing basically the same job wanting totally different infrastructure and legislation which if they think is too similar to another team's will throw a huge strop and refuse to work with it.

It was an awful year dealing with that contract, so I doubt they've changed much since 2015/16.

As mentioned, Armstrong is widely expected to sign with County in the next couple of days. It's a disappointment he didn't stay at Stark's for longer, but towards the end it almost felt like he knew he'd done enough to get a move to a club at a higher level and would rather establish himself elsewhere as opposed to kicking about for another 4 months while we wait for the playoffs and pray for a miracle.

On his day, he can be exceptional. As Bunglebonce mentioned, he's popped up in various positions and clearly wasn't shy about taking shots. Towards the end, it was a bit detrimental where we were trailing in games, and he'd go for the spectacular rather than maybe finding a better option, but we've got a few who are guilty of that.  He's quick, but can sometimes be a little one dimensional.

Can't fault the lad for joining a team who are very much in the mix for a return to the top flight. There'll be a few folk bitter he didn't make a decision sooner, but he can hardly announce he's leaving a couple of weeks before the end of his contract or folk would question commitment.

We're often seriously shy about taking shots from outside the box (Vigurs and Mullin aside), so if he can get them reasonably close to the target more often than not, I'll be happy. Transfermarket says he's a left footed right winger- can he play both sides?

What about McManus at right wing?  His final ball is often sub-par but he runs with the ball with a lot of pace and has very good movement.  Thankfully Graham was on the correct wavelength yesterday.

McManus is a weird one, he's proven he can score goals at this level but at the minute looks like he'd stick his head in a bucket of nipples and come out sucking his thumb. He's direct and has pace, so if need be he's a better option out wide than Stewart, at least.

What was McIntyre's hit rate for you lot with signings? More successes than duds? He didn't seem to go on as mental signing sprees as Adams seemed to every 6 month but I still vividly you remember still have revamps every so often under him.

    His list of signings:

    • Lewis Toshney
    • Martin Woods
    • Terry Dunfield
    • Jamie Reckord
    • Craig Curran
    • Cameron Burgess
    • Marcus Fraser
    • Darvydas Sernas
    • Ruben Palazeulos
    • Rafa De Vita
    • Abdoulaye Meite
    • Ian McShane
    • Michael Gardyne
    • Scott Fox
    • Brian Graham
    • Darren Holden
    • Jonathan Franks
    • Ricky Foster
    • Andrew Davies
    • Chris Robertson
    • Stewart Murdoch
    • Jackson Irvine
    • Daniel Bachmann
    • Gary Woods
    • Alex Schalk
    • James Severn
    • Paul Quinn
    • David Goodwillie
    • Chris Konopka
    • Erik Cikos
    • Aaron McCarey
    • Christoph Routis
    • Kenny van der Veg
    • Jay McEveley
    • Tim Chow
    • Ryan Dow
    • Chris Burke
    • Jason Naismith
    • Jim O'Brien
    • Oscar Gobern
    • Milan Lalkovic
    • Sean Kelly
    • Jamie Lindsay
    • Thomas Mikkelsen
    • Billy Mckay
    • Ross Draper

He's better percentage wise than Adams for me in terms of hits to duds. But you'll get a fair number of both.

Note: Some of these were signed twice (loans then permanent) also Midge and Irvine were here before he joined.

Cheers, we've been majorly lacking creativity and flair this season so hopefully it's a good fit for all concerned. We've signed a right footed winger who we played on the left at the weekend and was always cutting in too so maybe Ray plans on using him through the middle behind the striker.

I'd like to see how he does in an extended run a team playing him through the middle. He's reasonably quick rather than truly pacy, but has good change of pace over the first few yards and can curl them in from outside the box.

Keillor-Dunn -  talk to me. I remember hearing reports on the radio praising him last season but aside from that I don't know too much, reckon he'll do a job for us?

    He's frustrated this season.

He's capable of some real class at times and is more than capable of beating a man but looks like a central attacking midfielder pushed out wide more often than not so far. Has refused to go on the outside at all, even if it means cutting in and trying to run past multiple players.
