  1. Queen of New Year, the Queen will be glad she's long dead now and didn't have to see that drivel.
  2. Like many I was highly sceptical of this idea but the fact that the proposal points out Romeo Beckham has recently joined Brentford has swayed me towards it being a wonderful idea instead. Now all we need is to collect semen from all the greats of Scottish football to produce new stars and in 20-30 years time we'll have international tournament success. Don't ask Kenny Dalglish however, Paul was rubbish.
  3. Let's assume that an SPFL B team can at some point in the future move up to SPFL. Very much doubt they'd continually commit to providing £100,000 to a Conference League. Short term soul selling gains from clubs showing invitational interests.
  4. Fingers crossed Scotland can hold on to beat Spain who have nine former B team players and one C team man in starting XI. Us, not a B teamer in sight. Come on the loanees, youth development and reserves XI lol.

There's a fair difference 'fans' sitting in the warmth of the Hydro with some equally warm beers listening to some pish shouty patter than standing freezing your nuts off watching a game against University of Stirling during dark winter months. I'm sure their fans will be nowhere to be seen. Fingers crossed it all goes tits up.
  8. Using their logic if I win Euromillions tonight I’ll offer them cash and will buy 501 tickets for every game to usurp OF offer. The clubs can play me and my two cats at fitba. Anyone else wanting to turn up with their pets for a kickabout is welcome too. Imagine the media interest when Broomhill are beaten 1-0 with a dodgy paw-ball on first day of season.
  9. What people seem to be overlooking here is that with another season of Colts getting the opportunity to play against council workers and some PE teachers we'll have every international tournament sewn up for the next two decades.
  10. Due to this tenuous link about a place in a completely different country, I'll suggest New Orleans Saints - https://www.dundeecity.gov.uk/service-area/corporate-services/democratic-and-legal-services/dundee-orleans-twinning-association
  11. Sorry for hijacking thread. Looking for one more player for NFL.com standard 8 team league. This will be fourth season of play. All UK players. Draft date/time TBC once final position filled up. Details below. Join Here: http://fantasy.nfl.com/registration/privateleaguejoin?leagueId=6646524 League ID: 6646524 League Password: nfl123
  12. Imagine the scenes when, for example, East Kilbride, as LL Champs, falter in SPFL play off losing to last minute winner. The following day, it's announced that two teams who they've just played against in glorified friendlies during league season take up places in the division they're trying to get into cos they've bribed way in. Still, at least they got a few thousand quid out of it for a year.
  13. A few years? We can't wait that long. Qatar WC is in year or so. Although we can hope those Colts competing in forthcoming LL season will progress quickly into superstars. You've just scored the winner in the World Cup final for Scotland, tell me how does it feel? Well, it all began when I got launched into an advertising hoarding playing against Caledonian Braves...
  14. Utter pish from the Braves spokesman in terms of integrity. At its core the principle and value (hence integrity) of a pyramid system has teams moving up or down based on sporting merit. Two places in this division are now based on invitation and commercial gains. If either of the two Colts finish bottom they can't be relegated. What if they wish to carry on into another year? We're back with our wonderkids because that final placing was just part of a pilot scheme where we were just having a kickabout all year. Sorry club X went down instead. Let's start again, here's another £25k.
  15. Perhaps they're going to spend the year fundraising to get the £25,000 needed to directly enter the Lowland League?
  16. Little surprise it's being sponsored by the company itself. Who wishes to sponsor an event many won't watch? Subscription of £10.99 a month, for regular content such as Italian League and Copa Del Rey football. Chuck in the odd Cup ties from Scotland and CL qualifiers. Not that I would buy in first place but why would you continue to invest in this platform once your teams cup run has ended?
  17. I don't know about your sexual performances but may I suggest that you reconsider the IceCool part of your name.
  18. Agreed. Obviously on a forum for fans ideas anything will come your way and often does! This thread calls for a National Conference combining HL and LL with a trip from Galashiels to Brora potentially on the cards. Click elsewhere and other threads will say that we can't have travels like that or clubs will be going bust! It's taken a long while to get a form of pyramid structure on the go and its full start has been halted by someone eating a bat in China back in 2019. No doubt things will continue to go tits up along the way but we're laying a foundation that can be amended as development takes place.
  19. It's just to further highlight that any regional boundary agreement will cause difficulties after it's decided upon the 'dividing line'. As it's currently standing I think that each national tier looks ok at the moment (promotion/relegation another issue however). Although the LL areas will have around 100 or so more clubs than HL feeders so that may lead to boundary changes in years to come as the pyramid gets amended, depending on strength of divisions.
  20. There's already a dividing line to form HL and LL league members. Using that would give your North Conference as Forfar, Brechin, Montrose, Cove, Peterhead and Elgin. All the others would be in the 'South'.
  21. Depends on the term 'eventually'. As already written there's no automatic relegation currently from League Two so that could hamper things for a few seasons until automatic relegation/promotion is established. That is likely to depend on capital filtering into HL/LL to soften the blow for clubs who view themselves as being SPFL status. Using current league set ups, I can't see Talbot being anything more than a League One team at best. It's going to be interesting seeing how far we can go initially and things will retain interest on that journey if we're doing it or close to rising up tiers each season. However, if we do find ourselves established in one of the higher tiers and find mixed seasons in terms of wins/losses, then both playing staff and fans will be missing those days where we're winning nearly every week and being victorious in different trophies each season. On the flip side, I hope I'm pessimistic and I can look forward to welcoming Real Madrid to Auchinleck's new arena for a Champions League tie! The last full L2 season, 18/19, had an average of 505 as attendance. So, I'd expect something around that figure, up to 600 average.
  22. As the winners of the SPL appear to be heading directly into the CL group stages for a period of time, which themselves are to be reconstructed to increase group fixtures, there is no chance that either Celtic or Rangers will wish to play a forty game league campaign. In contrast, I'd expect them to view a 6-8, 14 team league split after 26 games more favourably, as it would cut their league games to 36, while still appeasing sides lower down who wish to have a 'no less' than 12 club top tier.
