  1. That's a fair review. I wasn't overly impressed with it either.
  2. Not sure where to post this, but I just found a scene from The Fighter online. I can't actually wait to see this movie! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tY_emnRnntY
  3. I absolutely agree!!!! Not the big Darkest Hour fan but what a fuckin song that is man! particularly the part with Tomas Lindburg screaming "one nation under the gun". I always crank the volume at that part. Have a green dot.
  4. I don't remember them being on it. There was an episode where the competitors had to play with bands like Lamb Of God and Darkest Hour. Unearth might have been one of those bands.
  5. Anybody remember Battle for Ozzfest? What a show that was. They should really get that going again. It beats the shit out of X-Factor anyway. Why have Matt Cardle and that black women that dances around in american football gear when you could get these band's battling against each other on a saturday evening

    Band Of Brothers

There are actually a lot of British actors in the series. Mainly due to the fact that a great deal of the filming was done in the U.K. But If I remember correctly, when it was being made they were also looking for fairly unknown actors so that the audience wouldn't relate to them from previous roles they had played. Not sure who's all been mentioned but apart from the one's you have pointed out, the other british actors I can think of are - Winters (Damien Lewis), Babe Heffron (Robin Laing), Doc Roe (Shane Taylor), SGT Martin (Dexter Fletcher) Cobb (don't remember actors name) and Harry Welsh (Again, Don't recall the actors name). James McAvoy also makes an appearence in a couple of episodes before getting owned! I'm sure there are more than that too. What you should do now is watch The Dark Knight. Particularly the scene with the two boats that The Joker tries to get to blow each other up and see how many actors you can spot from Band Of Brothers. I'll admit I'm a sad f**k and got excited in the cinema when I noticed them. EDIT: There are also quite a few cameo's from big actors who are just in the background. Mark Wahlberg is standing behind Donnie Wahlberg in one scene, Tom Hanks is in it as a British paratrooper and Jimmy Fallen is a jeep driver in it who takes them to Bastogne. Ralph Little was also supposed to be in it but he took the piss out of Tom Hanks' appearance in pre-filming as he was filming Cast Away at the time and he got sacked.
  9. I'm lost man. This is getting more complicated than the film All I know is that I agree with you that the ending leaves it open for you to think what you want.
  10. I see Korn are playing Metal Town in Sweden now. Surely means they're doing the festival circuit this summer. Download perhaps?
  11. Ok. So if the clues are there then what actually happens at the end?
  12. That would be fuckin epic!!!! Don't get my hopes up!
  13. I don't think that's really what I'm saying. It's certainly not what I think anyway. It's surely just a film where you can take what you want from it? There's no doubt contradictions placed throughout the film to keep you guessing but no real answer. I don't think that because there's not an obvious answer it automatically makes it a clever/ complicated film. I'd say The Prestige is more complicated as the clues were there throughout the film.
  14. Yeah but that's just the end? It's basically a straight forward story and then one of those scenario's you've pointed out. I didn't say I knew which of those outcomes was the correct one and like I said I'm not gonna attempt to go through it scene by scene to find out.. It's just a typical Christopher Nolan film. There may not even be an answer.
  15. I think the rumour was a character called "Hugo Strange" I assume that's how it's spelled anyway.
  16. Well taking it at face value like i said I did. They are trying to perform Inception for the Asian chap (Who incidentally was in Batman Begins too) by going in to Cillian Murphy's dreams so that he will liquidate his dad's company. That's basically what is happening for the majority of the film. They explain what they're going to do and they do it, albeit with some suspense as you would expect as it's a film. It's only the last five minutes or so that throws you off balance. Feel free to point out anything I've missed. Also Michael Caine was the other actor from TDK. And Tom Hardy is apparently going to be the villain in the next Batman.
  17. INCEPTION In my opinion it was just a typical Christopher Nolan film. I thought it was really enjoyable like all his movies but prior to watching it I had heard that this one in particular was complicated and really clever. I didn't find it to be this at all. It appeared to me to be a pretty straight forward storyline before throwing in a slight twist (if you can call it that) in the last five minutes. It's no more complicated than Memento. I can imagine there will be people watching it over and over again for clues and theories, which might make it a better/worse viewing if you do. But taking it at face value and not overthinking the story I found it be a really good film. Slightly dissapointed that it wasn't as brilliantly complicated as I had been told but maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. 8/10
  18. Aye I saw that they were at Bloodstock, but I'm not keen on going there. Too many twee metal bands playing, not my thing. As the line-up currently stands I'd only watch ATG and Immortal. maybe Morbid Angel. seeing this live could be one of the highlights of my life!
  19. This guy has to be one of my favourite musicians. He makes it look effortless! Anyone else got any favourites? Drummer, guitarist or whatever.
  20. Think it worked out about £120 each? I'm in the process of booking a hotel aswell, which is actually turning out to be a lot cheaper than I expected. I'm treating this as a wee holiday. Based entirely around seeing At The Gates.
  21. That basically shows you the set-up.
  22. There isn't actually a camping area because it's held in the middle of gothenburg rather than a field. Be the first time i've been to a fest like that. But it does mean a bit of sightseeing etc aswell as awesome bands. I guess it's just like a massive gig held over a weekend.
