Then how is it any different if they have a rental agreement with a company to provide the changing rooms and a deal with a contractor for the fencing they may or may not require?

You’d need planning for that, they don’t have it, and they don’t have a n agreement either, reliable source from inside syngenta

Yup. they've went through all that and forgot about the bloody ground!

Shocking oversight on their part ;)

That’s my point if the ground is complaint in you come, if it’s not and you’ve known for a year then sorry but no.

running about telling people everyone will be on £40 a week, do you think that’s fair on the teams who like say swifts who spent the money on their ground. Is like 30k a year for playing staff, if you’ve that kind of cash you have enough to get your house in order.

Publicly announcing their intention a year in advance even though they never had to. Hiring a manager, asst manager & u20s coach. Plus continuing statements over a full pathway to senior football.

Yet to see one about their ground, if I recall swifts had at least a plan. This lot don’t, and to be honest I hope they get told to do one, will be encouraging people to vote against them, it’s not like there won’t be space in the juniors for them once the rest of east moves, except they won’t get in their either with the ground

How do you know they don't have a plan?

Let's say they plan to hire out changing rooms. You want them to start paying rent on a facility now that won't be used till July.

Why should they get any special treatment, get your ground ready then in you come

How do you know they do?

From recent posts I am forming the opinion that Syngenta are "not the flavour of the month" in your part of Falkirk!

When I used to be involved in youth football some clubs (managers) were a real turn off that we really disliked.  Just wondering if there are any similar issues buried beneath your posts. Apologies if I am wrong.

From what I have read Syngenta would be a real credit to the EoSL.  Personally I think that the EoSL management should be going that extra mile to help "incubate" progressive teams like Syngenta.

Why should they get any special treatment, get your ground ready then in you come

    Doesn't really matter.

SFA/EOS "Are you going to spend x to meet our requirements to use LK?"

    Bo'ness = nope, we're only their temporarily

Syngenta = yes, here's our plan/funding and the timescale we'll work to do that it's done in time for the 2019-20 season

Yeah if they had a plan that would be a start but they don’t do should get told to bolt!

The only things they might have to resolve are changing rooms & adequate fencing around one of the pitches.

Fencing can be done up in the 3 months between Acceptance and start of the season. Changing rooms by hiring or purchasing modular units. Which again can be done between acceptance and start of the season.

Criteria 26 allows for them to be accepted without having those aspects in place.

Then they’ve had months to meet criteria, if you don’t meet it by agm. Should be no thanks, come back next year, the juniors already refused pennies from same ground as it don’t meet criteria

They applied last year, before the start of the season, before the criteria 'moved on'. Should they get derrogation against those changes, as they applied in good faith, or should they have to meet them all before being accepted given they have changed before they become EoS members.

And yes, I have worded that to draw parallels with the current arguments being made around licenses as it seems there are people who think different logic should be applied in each case.

If they’d applied last year they’d be in already....

I don't know about pitch 2, but pitch one does have a fence round it in classic 3G cage style. There's space for changing rooms behind the north goal, but to create room for spectators they'd probably need to move the fence out on one side and put up a rail.

Criteria have moved on now compared to last year

They did that last year as well telling an amateur to withdraw their application & try again the following year. Despite what some people seem to think they didn't just let everyone in.

Syngenta have had nearly a year to plan for this if they're still applying. If their intention is still to use Little Kerse I'm sure they've had discussions with the EoS and have prepared for  additional work that might be required from acceptance to the start of the season.

Not done anything to make it complaint including planning to make it so.

Syngenta would join tier 7 if accepted. There is a decent chance they will be tier 8 in 2020. Imo, it makes sense for requirements to gradually go down as you get lower down the pyramid. I do agree that on tier 6 clubs should at least be working towards a license, but at tier 7 or 8 that makes no sense. These teams would need 2/3 promotions to get to the LL and nearly all of them are unlikely to ever get there. Ideally, I'd like not just all current juniors, but also the amateurs included in the pyramid. If tier 8 isn't very strict, amateurs at least have a chance of getting in there.

They should have a ground that meets the current crieria or be refused.

Pretty much why Syngenta put their application in as well, they had no path way and with the real Clubs around them moving to 20s they jumped onboard, Little Kerse and its suitability for EOS will come to light over the next couple of weeks.

What is it about Little Kerse that concerns people?

    It don’t meet the criteria

I think for you guys Talbot the west is straight forward wrsjfa slots straight in. East is just a major headache

See if the west all joined the SOS, and they did conferences in first year like the east did, within a couple of seasons the south teams would filter downwards and you'd not need a PWG or anything else as it would be job done.

The office bearers/board can offer a period of grace for clubs to meet the entry criteria. Tweedmouth is a club that has been mentioned as having had some time to improve their facilities. And who is "the rest of us" and "our grounds" you're referring to?

Anyone who has a ground who meets criteria, was not having a go at any current club, however why would you take a new club who clearly can’t meet the criteria.
