Week 1 - Cowdenbeath

In terms of across the board, Phil Airey will take some beating. However in terms of players who left their mark at club by lingering like a bad smell unfortunately, here's my XI: Simon Brown - Horrendous goalkeeper, always will remember him for the goal he conceded at Tynecastle where he thought the ball was going past the post so he made no attempt to reach for it, low & behold the ball trickled into the net. David Stephens - Out of his depth, remembered by most Hibs fans for Colin Calderwood's decision to play him as a makeshift striker against St Johnstone when we had the Maltese referees. He was about as good a forward as he was a defender, which says a lot about his ability. Colin Murdock - This man was slower than a week in jail, was rather partial to putting the ball in his own net aswell. Last seen playing for Northern Ireland in that soccer sixes competition putting his wits against Robert Pires & co in what is the greatest mismatch since the 2012 Scottish Cup final but more about that in a moment... Pa Saikou Kujabi - He came with the tag of being the 'Gambian Roberto Carlos' that would of been true if Roberto Carlos played with a blindfold, that blindfold was firmly wrapped tight around his eyes when he sold the jerseys for Darren Barr's goal in the aforementioned Scottish Cup final by playing Barr onside. Also a special mention must be made for 'that' free-kick against Motherwell. Ryan McGivern - He has already been mentioned on here many times, need I explain any further? With his playing ability & bleach blonde hair he was akin to a gormless Eminem. Matt Thornhill - One of the harsher inclusions in this XI but nonetheless his spell will be remembered for a number of unmemorable appearances. Signed by Colin 'bag of sweeties' Calderwood. Martin Scott - Another one of Calderwood's duds, we actually paid Ross County for his services. He certainly left his mark at the club by leaving Sean Welsh, one of our youth players at the time in hospital with a broken jaw after punching him during a pre season training session. Scott did however score an absolute zinger in Ian Murray's testimonial. Alan O'Brien - He was sold to us as being like Ivan Sproule on motorcycle, shame that the motorcycle had no wheels. His end product was non existent & again like Martin Scott, we actually paid money for this dud. Danny Haynes - Surprisingly the first player on this list signed by Terry Butcher. Haynes was another player that came to us with a big reputation, but again like the rest of them on this list he failed to deliver. He played in the capitulation against Hamilton in the playoffs, well at least for eight minutes before going off injured. Rowan Vine - Another player from our ill fated relegation season, on paper he looked like an exciting signing. Only five or so months before he signed for us he ripped us a new one at Easter Road whilst playing for St Johnstone, this performance was probably the impetus for us signing him. His lasting memory with the Hibs support will be that atrocious beard that he had, that alone would been enough to make this list but his lack of ability helps cement his place. Amadou Konte - He was the Malian wizard, the only thing majestical about his stay at Easter Road was he eventually left after nearly two years at the club where he registered a solitary league, which in fairness did get us into Europe. Konte also once had the opportunity of heading the ball into an empty he net, he of course elected to duck when the ball was delivered for him to head into the net.

The Stone Roses have done well to carve a career out of one successful album...

Fantastic night at Easter Road yesterday! One anecdote that will certainly stay ingrained in the memory after last night would be the analogy that someone used to describe Efe Ambrose's passing, this said analogy was that Efe's passing was the equivalent of pressing the triangle button when playing fifa, opposed to pressing the 'x' button to try & make a pass.

I also managed to secure a ticket for HAIM at the O2 Academy in Glasgow. I was surprised at how expensive the tickets were though!

After watching that documentary, it is abundantly clear that Rowan Alexander is a minter.

Did Alan Main not end up having a fight in the Gretna changing room with one of his teammates, after they had got beaten 3-0 from Queen of the South? Also worth mentioning that both Main & his teammate were naked whilst fighting

Hibs v Motherwell - Both Teams To Score Dunfermline v St Mirren - Both Teams To Score Montrose v Stirling - Both Teams To Score A tasty treble, albeit odds are not the greatest. There should however surely be goals in these games.

Dundee v Ross County - Both Teams To Score Hibernian v Partick Thistle - Both Teams To Score Fulham v Norwich - Over 2.5 goals This is a tasty treble which returns £28.62( William Hill) from a £5 stake.

I must admit that I was skeptical of Lennon's transfer business this time four weeks ago, but since, we have made some pretty solid acquisitions. That coupled with some decent showing in the League Cup( albeit against some lower league teams) has got me pretty excited for the season ahead, particularly for Saturday's game.

There used to be a fantastic unsigned band called John Wean, they were on the scene about five years ago. They hailed from Uddingston. I never had the opportunity to see them, something that I regret.

Lenny loves a target man; our new signing is reminiscent of a Hearts signing from the early days of the Romanov era.

I started playing an older version of Football Manager last night, '07 to be specific. It is of course a lot more simplistic than the newer versions of the game, something that I prefer in all honesty. I had to start as my beloved Hibs, during that era we had some team! Old habits die hard with Scott Brown; I've only played eleven games in the league so far, already he has been sent off twice. I've had a few crazy results, a 12-0 defeat on aggregate against Newcastle in the Intertoto Cup not being my finest moment in my illustrious Football Manager career. That result coupled with a 5-3 derby day drubbing at Tynecastle have been the low points of the season so far. A good cup run which has setup a League Cup quarter final tie berth against Hamilton & a 2-1 victory against Aberdeen have been highlights of the season to date. I have also signed a few familiar names, both Joe Hart & Ryan Shawcross are on season long loans. The former is a marked improvement on Zibi Malkowski, who believe it or not, is as bad on this game as he was in real life - & people say this game is not realistic...

No wonder, the pricing for what is basically a pre-season friendly is shocking.

Phil Airey was truly the king of all diddies during that horrible period. An honourable mention must go to the Czech 'keeper Jakub Divis, he played a few times for us & was never seen again.

I have no idea why John Hughes is waxing lyrical about Lewis Stevenson, he hardly played him in comparison to all our other managers I suppose it further reinforces the notion that John Hughes is a buffoon. The video overall is fantastic representation of how well respected Lewis Stevenson is. The term legend gets branded about so flippantly, but Lewis truly is a Hibs legend.

Delighted with a four year deal for Marciano! I was expecting a two year deal.
