  1. McGuiness Weir Coleman Taggart Young, Maguire Kelly Murray Lafferty McIllroy Finnigan That was starting 11.
  2. Comfortable win for the league select last night at Petershill. The 3 St Pats lads were excellent, Macca with a piece of individual brilliance for the 1st goal then after good build up play a fine finish from the winger from Drum Utd made it 2 at ht. Petershill got 1 back but it was wrapped up in the dying minutes when big Finnigan got a well deserved goal after putting in a shift as the lone striker. Coleman at the back outstanding constantly talking and organising, Maguire again controlled things in midfield, was also really impressed with the left back Young who was excellent throughout.
  3. Pennies are dead m8. Its was nice while it lasted Gaz18, all the best in ur next cheerleading role.
  4. Lol. Catch you later 3 yards out!!!
  5. Bawsoot telling folk to grow up.....the irony!! Lol
  6. Fact is m8, u's r doomed!! The Syngenta thing is never going to work, they were on there knees ready to fold so u's have jumped in there and u's were not there 1st choice I can assure u of that. U's dont have ur own ground, some of the players are getting on now and ur reputation will never leave u's so unless u's start throwing silly amounts of money about ur no gonna attract the top players to really compete at the top level of Junior fitbaw. Lets be honest Syngenta Juniors in that league is no really a big draw. Like a said before best of luck but I think it'll go the way of Pennies & CP, destined to fail.
  7. Is that right? Money down the swanny if u ask me.
  8. Bridgewater v St Mungo's looks another decent tie.
  9. Tontine Park, Renton 2pm ko according to twitter m8.
  10. I think The Player meant Doune are bang average m8.
  11. Yeah , I think St Pats will be there abouts this year, if they can keep there key players fit they have a real chance. Any other ties worth a mention, any potential surprises?
  12. What do we see as tie of the round then folks? St Pats v Doune Castle looks on paper a good tie , think St Pats will progress but u never know in a 1 off game. Nothing else really jumping out at me.
  13. Absoloutely no issue Dinsey. I know that other select managers have approached players after games to see if they are interested. Why shouldnt they its only an enquiry and it saves wasted time if players dont want to be selected.
  14. Amazes me that people have the idea that Fallin had an issue with your team yet here u r trying to accuse Fallin of doing exactly what gave u the bad reputation that stopped u from getting into any of the leagues that u applied to. Jealous maybe? If your going to start accusations about paying players then you better have some evidence of this otherwise just be quiet. Theres a perfectly good Junior section that you can now post on, now that you are now the new Director of football at Syngenta!! Where did it all go wrong eh?
  15. Yeah a noticed u were outed last week, quite funny tbh. See ur now having a go at Dinsey? Is that thing in ur hand made of wood or metal? Uv been jumping about that Central chat having fly digs, how do feel now that the Leafa Premier is pretty much a 1 horse race now? Do you think ur team have the competition week in week out to go far in the big 1?
  16. I would agree with that, there in the history books, gone and soon to be forgotten. Lets move on, maybe Bawsoot can give us some of his chat about his affiliation to Sandy's!! Lol.
  17. Just to clarify, there is no ill feeling towards Pennies from Fallin. Fallin/Pennies have had many a tussle over the last few seasons, Pennies trophy haul is proof that they had the edge in that rivalry. Fallin have moved on and now so do Pennies, best of luck to Allan Walker and any of the players he takes with him to the Juniors as the majority of them are decent lads. As for the East, If Fallin are spoke of as a potential winner well thats flattering and other peoples opinions , I doubt that anyone at the Club is looking any further than the next game.
  18. Ciaran 'Macca' was excellent especially 2nd half, he managed to fined space in a tight game and caused Fallin problems. Sore 1 losing a goal so late in the game as dont think many would have argued if it had finished a draw. Still , not a bad start from Fallin and having allready played St Pats , Bannockburn & Eastfield there reletively young squad will have learned alot already.
  19. Premier League is shaping up to be a cracker this season. I would say there are 3/4 teams who will be fancying thereselves to put together a run of wins and get there nose in front. Allready you can see its not going to be easy to do that though with the other teams all showing there capable of upsetting the big guns. No team unbeaten after 5/6 games is testiment to that. Makes for interesting viewing and I am sure it will go down to the wire again.
  20. I think most Clubs are happy to have there players representing the league select tbh. Yeah appreciate injuries and tiredness could be an issue but if players want to go play its a good opportunity for them so I dont see Clubs standing in way of that.
  21. What age do we feel we are losing players to the game, 17-20?? At 17 if ur released from a Club is that the end? No chance, there are players who are getting released for whatever reason then falling out with the game. If amateur teams are really struggling why are they no going out and trying to get these lads 17-20, get them in and coach them. Short term it will give u numbers to work with atleast and you will probably find that you will have some technically very good players. In Scotland nowadays young players should never give up, theres still great opportunities to make it in the game so imo the amateur game should look toward younger players, the benefits for both players & Clubs could be huge.
  22. Its a fact that the ammie game is in decline m8, theres no doubt about it. Any ideas or solutions to improve or re-energise it???
  23. Evenly contested game, thought Select created better of chances 1st half, big Finnigan caused Benburbs defence problems. Not much in 2nd half couple of half chances, neither team really getting to grips with game. Scott Maguire was excellent and controlled the game in midfield with the no8 think he may play with Oban also neat & tidy alongside him. Tam Murray at right back also had a good game, no sure what age Tam is now but still shows a great appetite for the game. Good start for the new select Manager and his team.
