  1. You just look after your own game, because we are becoming the great unpredictables. Whilst Bonnyrigg have never beaten us in a league game this slide of theirs can't go on forever. But if we perform we can win this. So aye, we'll do you a favour
  2. It's an academic question because it already IS biased. For example, in an interesting take on how two wrongs don't make a right The Herald newspaper boasts a 'Rangers Reporter' and a 'Celtic Reporter', and the rest of us can lump it. Your dissertation should carry a central theme on how with very few exceptions all contemporary media prioritises reader views and clicks, listener numbers and ensuing advertising-driven revenues over providing balanced, informative content. With Radio Clyde in a league of its own.
  3. I've said for years that for a sizeable and politically lazy percentage of the electorate, and especially the Scottish one, that simple word 'Labour' translates into voting levels unwarranted by the contemporary party's policies. Simply not being the Tories doesn't cut it.
  4. Liverpool got exactly what they deserved.
  5. Klopp should boot every Liverpool outfield player's arse for this going to extra time.
  6. Re James Graham, I recently compared him to Brian Gallagher, aka 'Galaxy' of the late 1970's. He had pace to burn too, and you never knew exactly what he was going to do - out of ten chances he'd convert two or three and at least one of the remainder would go out for a shy. And his partnership with Raymond Blair was easily our fastest strike force in living memory.
  7. Thank you, but how the feck did I forget that one ? And what a strange sequence - two 6-2 away scorelines five months apart and then an interval of nearly 53 years to the next one
  8. In stark contrast, I've just read about an episode at New Dungheap Park in which Clyde's Scullion was spat on by someone in the home support and (understandably but very foolishly) decided to respond in kind. So if you prefer your fitba loutish or skinny latte, League Two has something for you folks.
  9. Whilst you're here, was that our first 6-2 win away from home since April 27th 1971 at Cliftonhill ?
  10. How are Scotland still within touching distance here ?
  11. Great result, well done Sons. First league win over the Spartans and a very emphatic one.
  12. Help ma Boab. Just lay that AstroTurf pitch and send me the bill.
  13. It's May 1st 1982 in Edinburgh all over again.
  14. Holy pedestrian midfielders ! Surely to f*** we can see this out ?
  15. Cheap jibes at other clubs isn't going to win many friends. And some of it is way off the mark. I know people connected with Spartans and they do tremendous work in the Pilton area of Edinburgh, very much a genuine community club in contrast to Dumbarton where the prevailing culture is one of a hugely struggling private members club owned by shyster speculators. And for the record, our ground, pitch and the surrounds are indeed an insult to the location at the Rock. That is down to us. As for the Bankies, we've always had good relations and long may that continue. The current direction of travel of both clubs is polar opposite and that should hugely concern Sons fans. In terms of club ownership and management Clydebank FC appear to be everything we are not. But there's nothing to be gained by taking out our frustrations on here when our problems lie elsewhere.
  16. Yep, and Hoyle attempting to justify it on the basis that many other MP's sought to intervene in the debate. That weak argument quickly falls apart on the fact that as far as we know none of these other MP's had been targeted as Diane Abbott has. In the context of the PMQ session she should have been allowed to contribute. Hoyle has become a liability as Speaker.
  17. That's all very fair comment. As another Trust Board member I'm in the same situation as BSF and I can tell you that at times these meetings with the DFC Board can be hard going. There are several fundamental issues in play and communication is certainly one of them.
  18. I think everyone needs to calm down before posting - some of this stuff is wild.
