  1. They've signed a striker on loan from St Cadocs, so not his destination obviously. Noticed someone mentioned Mark McKenzie on the tweet this morning, maybe crossed wires as they've signed Allan McKenzie.
  2. Would hope he'd go to a higher level than EK, ideally L1 or 2 for me. He has shown some flashes at Championship level, so I'd think dropping to tier 5-6 would be far too low down the pecking order for a decent development opportunity.
  3. Whilst there are merits to team building, given the run harder mantra we are being fed in post match interviews would you trust Bullen not to do this? BBC News
  4. The mural is potentially one of the infrastructure projects he mentioned that will be announced soon. It would certainly make a massive difference to the external facing wall, it might also be decent to have something inside the SRE as well on the backwall.
  5. As we are in desperate need for any form of win right now, can we just include Parkhouse and FC as part of our stats given they merged to become Ayr United?
  6. I could be reading far too much into it. However, I took from it that he is still backing Bullen for the short term rather than indefinitely. He made the point of thinking managers get sacked far too quickly and follow up with also seeing the other side of it where it gets to the point that you absolutely lose faith. I reckon if we haven't won or atleast drawn a game (and seen signs of green shoots of recovery) by full time against Raith we'll start to see the wheels in motion of either walking away or being emptied.
  7. We saw that a couple of years ago when David Hopkin's Ayr took on Gus Macpherson's Morton. Thankfully Prestwick Airport isn't that busy these days.......
  8. Would take that over another fisting broadcast to the nation.
  9. It is kind of a fair point given we could have ultimately finished anywhere from P2-5 on the last day. If we had drawn with Inverness I think we'd still be scunnered but, to a lesser extent as we wouldn't be wondering where all the prize money has been spent. However, we shouldn't blindly accept the run we are on. I'm all for giving people time but, a heavy defeat to Partick or picking up nothing by the end of the month will no doubt see Bullen away. It is a tricky position for the club, do you stand behind your man and hope he can turn it around. Or do you pull the trigger now and give someone the guts of a month to try pick up free agents and loans to steady the ship. I can understand why the club would want to look loyal to their guy, it would put off any potential replacements if we are seen to be a club that sacks on a whim. The longer we go without another striker the more detrimental it will be to Bryden's development, in that he really needs a loan somewhere (L1/L2) to get regular games.
  10. Aye but it was only £12 an adult back then. There should be some sort of sliding scale for the pricing for U16-21 in my opinion. 18-21 being covered by Youngscot/student cards.
  11. I've asked if there will be any provision to allow the transfer of fans between the SRE and Railway end this season once the main works are completed, and next season once the new stand is open. Should atleast give them an easy opener.
  12. I feel like you'll get some sort of embittered response to the latter, given two fingered salute in response to the question about bringing in an assistant at the previous Q&A.
  13. He's maybe scoping the beach out for training. Wouldn't be the first manager to send the players down it to run after a bad run of results.
  14. It is pretty weird that we've gone from: He'll be looking to appoint an assistant > None of his targets were available for a number of reasons > He's 52 why would be need an assistant? I found it strange at the time that nobody seemed to want to work with him given the general enthusiasm in the early days. If the club were to swing back into the stance of needing an extra pair of hands would they ultimately fail again or just impose someone on Bullen?
  15. Assuming Bullen makes it to the Partick game, how close are we to the we are in free fall cliché of "The lads have been buzzing in training all week"?
  16. Would love to know what we got back from Dunfermline for Sleepy Joe. Most entertaining piece of transfer business in club history. Would we have paid anything for Shankland or Rose when they left Aberdeen or was it a case of Aberdeen waiting until they had a destination and then releasing them for us to sign for free?
  17. Nice to see fans of other clubs embracing our culinary chat. +1 for Ayr India.
  18. How dare you come on here and dispel one of Scottish footballs favourite stereotypes.
  19. We have the benefit of hindsight with Dipo in fairness. You can only go on what you've seen so far, I'm sure alot of the naesayers will be delighted if they have egg on their face come Christmas and we've gelled and flown up the table. However, at present things have been looking a bit grim. I said a week or two ago that we aren't the finished article yet, the real concern starts when we are and if things continue to look bleak.
  20. Is it not for cross-border but, domestic continues until end of Sept?
  21. Decent pedigree looking at his youth history. Looks like he was at Manchester United from 8-15, before jumping to Everton then Burnley for a couple of years. Although this line in his Wiki is interesting: "He progressed through the age groups at United, but surprisingly wasn't offered a scholarship and departed the club aged 15."
  22. Atleast we aren't at the "The lads are buzzing in training" stage.
  23. Have we ever had anyone else last less than 2 months that wasn't injured?
