  1. I can't imagine getting scudded by 3+ goals a week is much fun, character building maybe, but not fun.
  2. My read on the statement was that it was correctly signed off by Smith, after all he has ultimate accountability at the club as the owner. It doesn't mean that Mathie hasn't instigated the removal / trigger points.
  3. Please don't ruin my Friday this early, atleast wait till lunchtime.
  4. One of those guys who clearly has plenty about him but, just can't get a break with the injuries. On McCall it is also important to note that he could spot deficiencies a mile off an address them. Stevie Bell was an inspired pieces of business to me. He wasn't the best technically but, added that bit of stability we needed at the back. McCall knew how to find a leader and filled his team with guys that could walk the line between leader and team player without ending up with too many chefs.
  5. I thought McBookie being a smaller outfit would typically close their smaller books overnight as they don't have the capacity to monitor things. Sure I've heard that before somewhere.
  6. To be fair I read an article about him yesterday where he basically said he has had to sacrifice seeing his family in his pursuit of travelling around the globe to learn different football related things, doing degrees etc. I'm assuming he'd bring a high level of commitment and attention to detail off the back of that. I'm sure some of the Dundee fans would be well placed to say how much extra he took on over and above first team things.
  7. Always struggle to remember their switchover point, was just one blur of horror.
  8. Did we ask or have QotS speculatively approached us?
  9. Genuinely can't think of many games under him that I felt utterly bored watching. Can't say the same about the last few years since Kerr left, in particular the Hopkin Vs MacPherson shiteoff is absolutely up there as the worst game of football ever played.
  10. Just checked in on oor Curtis, his Twitter is all betting on horses, reasons why he couldn't train and saying he's ranked 52/57 in the boxing (I'm assuming a district league?). Reckon he'd still be a decent banter choice till the summer if we are resigned to going down this season.
  11. Appreciate he is only 1 game in, but they are already raving about him. Hopefully gets a decent run and a crack at League 1/2 next season.
  12. His previous assistant at Dundee is now 54. That is 106 years of experience!
  13. The Queen had 17 days of national mourning to be fair, we are atleast a week away from Holly and Phil jumping the queue in the hub.
  14. Aye they seem to have lost any sense of objectivity, perception and historical events. Trying to make out as if the cup run is the best of a generation is nonsense, they are either completely caught up in their own hype or just wilfully ignoring the Cameron years at the club. McCall: Easily the best performance probably any of us have seen either in person or the telly (5-0 Dundee United) and gave us a couple of semi decent cup runs that were more challenging that what appeared to be the easiest cup run of all time that Bullen made heavy weather of. Does anyone rank a 4-4 draw with Raith in greater esteem? Reid: Cup specialist albeit limited ability in the league, plenty of decent scalps taken along the way and half an hour away from the league cup final.
  15. Didn't know the circumstances around when it all went to pot, that would absolutely do it to distract the entire club.
  16. Surely must be some idiots messaging him directly in the same ilk that Jordan Hart was receiving personal threats. Won't be that difficult for the club to address it via the relevant authorities and put out a separate statement once the investigation is concluded. I mean I come from a construction background in my early career, alot of the nicknames were far far worse than BGM and just accepted as daily patter with worse dished back.
  17. A few years later the same player essentially gave us our Jordan returning in '95 moment of euphoria (without the 3 trophies) when he easily could have walked into any Championship team and a number of suitors at a higher level. Football is full of short termism and grudges rarely do you any good.
  18. Like a few names on that list, genuine fear we'll be stuck with Yogi. McCall coming back is my pick but, just can't see it happening. Real feeling we need a safe pair of experienced hands just now rather than a punt on a rookie or left field option. Last time around I liked the idea of Bartley and, hoped when he took up the QotS role we'd be able to poach him a few years down the line, sadly looks like he's a bust. Bullen was a pretty interesting appointment as well at the time, sadly it just hasn't worked out for a number of reasons.
  19. If it doesn't open with Callum asking in his usual chirpy way "So Lee Graeme, what went wrong?" I'll be genuinely gutted.
  20. On the abuse front, I did think at the time when Bullen started responding to fans on FB that it was all going to end in tears. By no means am I saying it is right that he's had abuse directed at him via his socials, but fairly large sections of our fans aren't exactly known for being a rationale bunch at the best of times. It is the same story repeated a thousand times for players and managers on these platforms.
  21. Had a look back, our most successful manager by % was by Committee. Should give that a go for a bit.
  22. He comes across like a guy who has had 1 number come up on his lottery ticket and is wonder why he they haven't paid him the jackpot.
  23. There are still headcases on SRE and the worldwide page going out of their way to suggest they are the best fans in the worlds because they are fully behind Bullen, and anyone who isn't is completely irrational. To the point I saw a post yesterday suggesting people are being knee jerk "demanding instant results" and don't understand how football works.
