Because it is a fucking moronic comparison. Genuinely laughable, in fact.

Seatbelts actually work though so not sure where you're going with that line of argument.

So did lockdown cause needless deaths, or did minimum pricing not work in the circumstances?
Those with problematical alcohol habits drank more under lockdown. In general, Scots drank less overall in 2020 and the number of additional deaths (about 100) is nothing compared to the outcome of allowing the virus a free reign.

Obviously as a fully grown adult I don't take kindly to other people telling me what, how and when to do things that they want me to do but it's more than that I think.

@Baxter Parp would argue it is a success. Me, not so much.
An extensive study by Newcastle University called it a success and fewer people died until 2020 saw Covid and a rise caused by lockdown.

I saw it. There is no 'Scottish only' box to tick.
Exactly how stupid do you want everybody to think you are, Kincy?

You didn't. You provided me a link to an interpretation of the census. The phrase "Scottish only" isn't an option in the document itself.
If you tick only Scottish then you are "Scottish only". I do hope this helps.

"The available evidence suggests that near-universal adoption of nonmedical masks when out in public, in combination with complementary public health measures, could successfully reduce Re to below 1, thereby reducing community spread if such measures are sustained."
