  1. Arthurlie Amateurs (SAFL) are looking for friendly opposition for this Saturday 3rd October. Pitch available for a 2.00pm kick off at Cowan Park, Barrhead. Any interested teams, give me a message. Cheers
  2. Yeah, all of the above is true re the Amateurs & Under 20s and our aim at the Amateurs will still be to give the boys the opportunity to progress at the club.
  3. LEE ROULSTON EXTENDS HIS STAY AT DUNTERLIE Lee has become a key player in the midfield since stepping up from our under 21s in 2018. Lee's game is continuing to develop and we are delighted that we can look forward to his energy and enthusiasm as he has committed to the club for the season ahead.
  4. SQUAD NEWS || FIVE PLAYERS ON EXETENDED CONTRACTS As we get closer to being able to announce new signings for the forthcoming season, Arthurlie FC would like to remind supporters of the five players who will remain with the club, having already signed extended contracts. CONOR BRADLEY Conor's progress has been marked since his arrival from Barrhead Youth FC under 21s in the Summer of 2018. Conor has impressed in the left back role over the past two seasons and we are delighted that "Gummy" has already committed to the club for the coming season TAM MCGAUGHEY Tam has posed an attacking threat both in central and wide areas in the past couple of seasons. We look forward to seeing more of his attacking qualities and goalscoring abilities as we aim to challenge for promotion in the season ahead. MICHAEL MACNEIL Mick made the step up to the first team from our under 21 side last season and put in some impressive performances in the centre of defence, prior to the enforced shutdown. We look forward to seeing his continued progress in the new season. JAMIE MACLEOD Messi is an experienced winger who joined us from Fauldhouse, Unfortunately only managed a few games before lockdown but we look forward to seeing him in action next season. ANDREW MCLAUGHLIN Andrew was highly recommended to us from Barrhead 21s , He came in and impressed straight away despite only being 19. We look forward to his continuous progress next season. The management team have been hard at work behind the scenes in their efforts to build a competitive and capable squad for the season ahead and we look forward to being able to confirm further details in the coming weeks. #MONTHELIE
  5. THANK YOU TO OUR SUPPORTERS The club wishes to thank all of our supporters for their continued backing in our fundraising efforts and for their patience and understanding during these most uncertain of times. The management team have been working hard in the background to bring players to the club - to join those already on extended contracts - building what we believe is an exciting squad for the season ahead in the West of Scotland Football League. We look forward to being able to announce squad information - once all players' current contracts at their previous clubs have expired at the traditional end of the season, which will allow our paperwork to be lodged and approved by the SFA. Once again, thank you to our supporters and we hope that you are all keeping well. #MONTHELIE

  14. Statement || Arthurlie FC and Barrhead Youth FC Affiliation Arthurlie Football Club is delighted to announce a new affiliation with Barrhead Youth Football Club (BYFC) with immediate effect. This will augment our existing structure which includes Arthurlie Juniors Youth Football Academy and a newly established Arthurlie FC Amateurs for season 2020-21, thus creating a pathway from under 6s through to senior football. Arthurlie FC has this year joined the newly established West of Scotland Football League (WoSFL) at conference level, which is part of the Scottish senior football league structure. This new league setup creates a fully integrated route for progression through the football pyramid – something that did not exist previously and we believe that this will have a very positive impact within the community and beyond. Barrhead Youth Football Club (BYFC) was established in 2013 and evolved from the Barrhead Boys Club which had existed since 1972. BYFC operates 15 teams from under 6s through to adults in the Amateur setup. This also includes two girls teams and two teams that play on a Sunday. BYFC has 77 coaches overseeing a total of approximately 500 players. We hope that this venture will be a legacy that provides a youth development pathway for future generations to come. Jim Hannigan, Secretary of Arthurlie FC says; “This is an exciting year for the club as we have joined the new WoSFL. This is part of the Scottish football league pyramid which gives us an unprecedented opportunity to progress. We are committed to our community and the development of our young people through football and look forward to a long and successful partnership with BYFC to augment our existing academy structure.” Graham Vance, President of BYFC says; “We are delighted as a club to finally build this relationship with Arthurlie Football Club. The Arthurlie committee and management have been tremendous with our players and club over the last few years so it is great to formally create a link. I am also delighted that the academy teams have been in full conversation about building this link. The most important thing is creating opportunities for players, coaches, parents and supporters of the club. This is a hugely exciting time for everyone, here’s hoping we can get back to kicking a ball soon. Stay safe and take care.”
