  1. We're just priveledged you deign to share your higher league pearls of wisdom. You too.
  2. Fair question; good enough to keep us in the league. That's all that the club and supporters should be focussing on right now. All Berwick fans have aspirations beyond the horrible place we are now; me included, but I think criticising everyone from the manager to the programme seller is counter productive at this stage. I'm not sure why I'm given any credence to your drivvle anyway with your gimmicky Airdrie clobber. Up The Diamonds indeed.
  3. Well, I thought we worked really hard, bossed the early encounters and were the better team in the 1st half. Cowden scoring against the run of play; aided by naive defending on our left flank. 2nd half, they very capably took every opportunity to disrupt play and stop the game; and we weren't good enough to protect and use the ball when we had it. All symptomatic of a struggling club with players low on confidence. Losing Brown was a big loss too. O'Kane's straight red was at worst a yellow, and now he's suspended. Strong hearts and minds needed now, with talk of knee-jerk managerial changes to be ignored IMHO. This group are good enough, if we get behind them. Big positive support and 3 points against QP on Tuesday will help; get along, or we'll have the club we deserve.
  4. So that one unregistered player, in the less than 90 minutes he played, may have had the singular impact of Albion winning by a 3 goal margin as opposed to the actual 1-0 loss . That's not reasonable in any sense. You tit.
  5. With our long standing close relationship with The Bully Wee, one can only hope that you make similar oversight over the entire squad on 20th April, giving Berwick 3 points and 3 goals per player, and Berwick winning promotion, edging you in the play-off final. It's what friends are for.
  6. Mass tantrum planned in the ducket this afternoon. Reuters.
  7. I get sanction against Clyde, but not betterment to QP and Albion.
  8. So not previously sufficiently incentivised? Poor show. We always want to serially scud you.
  9. First step is to really (really really) closely check the opposition team-sheet. I'd wager close inspection will reveal some Cowden players are only registered on their home planet.
  10. IMHO Barr has been MoM for last 2 games, spot on. Equally IMHO, I thought Brown was yertific on his deeper playmaker role last night, Cook was solid and dangerous on his odd foray upfield and Blues looked good also going forward. Overall, it's an improving trend; and yes, there have been some very low ebbs!
  11. Factual though. Ok you're maybe not all that obsessed...
  12. Please take this to another thread guys. I do think we have enough of our own issues to consider here.
  13. I really hope it works. Classy player with good ability on the air and on the deck. Undoubtedly a higher level than he's played recently, but if he's fit and healthy, no reason he can't be a great asset.
  14. I do think that there are typical dynamics for even a moderately successful team. Budget appropriate to your ambition; leaving this polarizing topic right there. Sufficient player quality appropriate to your ambition. It's equally polarizing; if that's survival in 9th or league champions. Achievable goal.... Unity of players and manager: yep, the general view on that is, well, etc etc... Leader on the field, a great pro dyed in the wool, supporting the manager, driving the players to meet the clubs ambition. Just not seen for some time, and the single most important missing link. The first 2 are linked, and are, as far as I can see, in hand. But are long term success criteria and need some patience. The last just has to happen soon, or we are in soapy bubble. A leader on the field is required and will be massive.
  15. Your sentiment is well meaning and, in the majority, I think that's the case. However, when some wee jakey sh!tebag records a confidential conversation, held in good faith, and shares it, one has to wonder. Football can be utterly unscrupulous as well as fickle. Despicable behaviour; I hope some punitive measures can be taken.
  16. More fake news and shallow trolling from The Kingdom. You still here?
  17. More uniquely insightful analysis from The Kingdom. Yahoorsir.
  18. Well done for expanding the definition of being a dick. Inventive. Carry on [emoji106]
  19. No change, but a time for backbone and unity. Not a time for knee-jerking or capitulation. Hasty, ill-considered change and chucking in the towel would be typical but wrong IMHO.
  20. The arbiter of sense is fi Cowden; I think not...is your supervised weekend license no up in about an hour? Best get posting.
  21. Now, so the top 3 are 11 and 16 points ahead of the nearest challenger due to better managers and harder working players? Please, the financial model is the major factor. And The Bino's being 7 points behind, even with a game in hand is hardly breathing down our necks; or are we breathing down QP's necks for 8th? Not being complacent; but really Private Frazer!? [emoji6][emoji4] May I ask, if Johnny's positivity and his plans (to develop, get players back: fit and perhaps add a few more) are not good enough for you, can you lay-out your plan that would be better? I'm all ears; the size of Jodrell Bank dishes.
  22. I take your points; I'm not accepting our position, and clearly neither is the manager nor, I suspect, the boards. Another point we agree on is money comes into it; which is why anything from matches v Peterheid, Clyde or Edinburgh is tough, given respective budgets. This season, unfortunately isn't about what we take from these teams; it's more, as you know, about what we take from the teams in our third. I think we will consolidate, by taking points off teams in our third, and with development of what we have (as I think the 6/7 New players deserve time - reference Johnny's interviews..) praying we don't get any more injuries and a few new faces, next season will bring a higher target. You seem to want immediate improvement, I think this is where we fundamentally differ, I DO accept immediate improvement (to a team that can compete with the top third) is not a reasonable goal right now, where improvement v our third is; surely you can see that?
  23. "Equally, we've just played arguably the best 2 teams in the league, with demonstrably more cash than we do, so why not remind folks like you of that fact" Was the above too complex for you? And thanks for putting words in my mouth; why would I say anything (or indeed use a large stringed instument) about a better style of fitba. I agree about it being about winning games (obviously) I just trust Johnny's rhetoric about getting to a place where we will; where you appear to be irreversibly imprinted with Corporal Fraser genes.
