  1. I wondered the same thing. Club ambassador - is that a new thing? Anyway, the private members club mentality does not surprise me. That's been a permanent feature of our club for decades.
  2. Yeah, that was ritual humiliation. A complete embarrassment. Defending that had to be seen to be believed and huge chances passed up at the other end. Not one of the players gets pass marks, every single one of them was abominable. I said it a few weeks ago, there are a clutch of players in this team who look like they really struggle with football at League 2 level and every so often that gets exposed brutally. A better manager might be able to extract a tune from those lads but I guess that question is hypothetical, as Farrell is here to stay until the Rock melts with the sun. And on Farrell, obviously not helped by a defensive capitulation, but this clown honestly doesn’t help himself. Throwing on a clearly unfit Kalvin Orsi when we’re 4-0 down. Then allowing him to limp around for a further 10-15 mins clutching his leg….what the f**k? In the end I think Orsi just strolled off himself. Keeping the likes of Ruth and Newbury on for the full 90 in a match that was long gone? That’s genuinely terrible management of the football team.
  3. I wouldn't normally be terribly fussed about a midweek jaunt doon to Stranraer but the promise of a well-kept football pitch is difficult to turn down. Count me in.
  4. Better than the last few weeks I suppose but I wouldn’t have had any complaints if Stranraer had taken another one of their chances. The draw would have been deserved. The 11 players who started for us yesterday could be roughly split into two camps: 1. Comfortably able to play at League 1 level. 2. More suited to the lowland league. There’s a really noticeable distance between our best and poorest players. Our season is basically over now. There’s not a sweet hope in f**k of promotion and we’re well free of relegation.
  5. Agreed, it does need called out and "Faz" ought to be challenged on his nonsensical claims - by more than just us on here. We got exactly what we deserved in the Stenny, Forfar and Spartans matches. No more, no less.
  6. Whatever the formation I'd suggest Stevie finds a way of including Ruth, Orsi, Gray, Newbury, Lynas and Carlo. Setting aside football ability for a moment, it makes sense to field individuals who boast a little pace as we've been so fucking stagnant and slow recently.
  7. Might we expect future pronouncements from the football club each and every time somebody, somewhere is overheard saying inappropriate, or will they coincidentally only emerge in moments where on-pitch performance is in the gutter? No need to confirm via statement DFC, I already know the answer.
  8. As we approach what I personally hope is the fag-end of Farrell's tenure at the club, I'd again reflect on how dire (overall) the last few years have been for DFC. We often use the Challenge Cup final defeat as the starting pistol on our steady regression but, going back further, when was the last time we bettered a league position on the previous season? 2014? That's a solid decade of downward spiral. It's little wonder our crowds are paltry and enthusiasm waning. And that's not to mention the off the field circus.
  9. “I totally get the fans’ frustrations, I really do. But all the performances are lacking is goals” S.Farrell, probably.
  10. This one sees two proper shithawks go to war. Who wins? Not football, obviously.
  11. Benching 4 of our more reasonable attacking players resulted in the slow and ponderous performance that any of us could have predicted before kick off. We may have largely controlled the match but “The” Spartans are clearly gubbins and we could have played for days without scoring. We might be more accepting of tonight if it was an anomalous performance and not just another failure forming part of a dire sequence of results.
  12. A decision to close the car park (if that’s what this is) should merit more than a line in a match-day information post. Baffling, baffling comms as usual.
  13. I'm quite content that the felt club have felt moved to come out and clarify points around our ownership. Not because I particularly care about them being misquoted or anything but simply anything that generates more press/public interest in this space is worth it in my view.
  14. I thought last year’s lineup was far superior but this edition seems to be landing much better with the masses. What do I know…
  15. Our manager "cannot fault" the way the worst form team in League 2 is performing. Truly astonishing. I don't think I can watch any more of these post-match interviews - it's high fantasy, delusional trash.
  16. Hell of a gaffe from Run-aboot Ruth. Hilariously bad.
  17. Fully expecting a dire match on our hopeless shit-tip of a pitch. A narrow Forfar victory feels like the most likely outcome but it could slide either way. The only thing we can be sure of is that the spectacle will be awful.
  18. A news story from which Jackie Baillie emerges with the most credit...truly astonishing. I too, feel moved to get in gear and sign up to the Trust.
  19. The challenge, as a fanbase, will be to remain engaged through the rest of the season if the "turn a corner, fall flat on face" pattern continues. We're safe from relegation but we're unlikely to have the grits to challenge for promotion.
  20. We can talk about Dumbarton being the better team for the majority of the match blah, blah, blah but the simple truth is this was just another example of failure and a bottle-job in a crunch fixture. Our manager has a loser’s mentality and it’s catching amongst his squads. He has to go - sweep out the stench. Well done Stenny though, a Championship title surely now inevitable. Well deserved I’d have to concede.
  21. He could have been Dobbie mk.2. Not too dissimilar a career trajectory, fat mess stage included.
  22. Not helped by the baffling decision to play 50% of our matches on a pitch with constricted width that often resembles a tattie field. It's a wonder that any creative players manage to flourish at all in our team.
