  1. I see a lad on the Facebook group still reckons we've an outside chance of winning the league. Have to admire that level of optimism - even mathematics itself is unable to inhibit their outlook.
  2. I think this is the problem. It's difficult to say which approach (club or trust) is the correct one when we don't have any clarity (publicly at least) on what actually happened. I'm sceptical about the media reports here tbh as, if accurate, they would have more likely resulted in forever bans and prosecution I'll happily accept that folks on here have connections and sources within the football club and will naturally know more about specific events, but for the rest of us this entire process has been confusing - with seemingly multiple different outcomes.
  3. Borknagar's "The Fall" is the good stuff in 2024 thus far.
  4. Congratulations Stenny, best team by a mile. League 2 loses arguably its finest away day. Disaster.
  5. It must have stood up to some extent, or a club ban would be the least of his worries
  6. What a strange and overly-convoluted decision. Looks like we're just making it up as we go along. I feel like we're none the wiser as to whether this alleged incident actually happened in the way that was described in press reports. Surely if it did, the zero-tolerance approach they keep harping on about would have meant a forever ban and police action?
  7. Would we prefer to finish 3rd, rather than 2nd, if the prize is avoiding a midweek trip to Peterheed? Could feasibly end up going there on the final day of the league season actively trying to avoid victory . Nae problem for Faz.
  8. A good point. Gary Naysmith will have known since last Saturday evening how we will line up for this match.
  9. But were they any good?
  10. "Your Board" That's incredibly effective trolling.
  11. Yeah, I imagine Doctor Who shouldn't wish to be accused of acquiescence on matters of pitch maintenance.
  12. The Carlo/Kalvin combination is one thing that's worked fairly well in our team over the course of this season. To see them both out is a sour blow. Of course, that might not have been the case if Stephen "Stevie" Farrell hadn't chucked a half-fit Orsi on to chase a lost cause on a heavy Stair Park pitch last week.
  13. Of course the true tin-pot test is your club's view on whether bumbling B-Teams should be admitted to the league structure. Spartans! Cowdenbeath! What say you?
  14. There's been a couple of posts through the last few pages that would appear to frame the allegations from Saturday as fact. Most unwise I would suggest, unless you're prepared to substantiate it later. In that regard it's quite different from the issue at the Clyde match. I say again, please make this season be over.
  15. Whilst we haven't really the faintest idea what Paul McPherson is doing, we can say what he isn't doing and that's engaging with fans with the openness and transparency promised in that initial blizzard of reagent-grade shite he posted on here. Another charlatan by the looks of it, terrific.
  16. Toilet defending by Dumbarton. What on earth was Hogarth thinking at the 3rd? Basic, basic stuff.
  17. Farrell's management of the Orsi situation is just staggeringly bad. What was he thinking? Bringing him on, then leaving him on until Kalvin himself decided enough was enough. Incredibly frustrating. The Callum Wilson signing, always risky, has turned out a complete disaster as well.
  18. An absolute sickener for the the poor folk who travelled but for the rest of us if that goal has any impact on the security of Farrell's position then perhaps it's no bad thing. We'll be playing League 2 fitba next season regardless.
  19. That shit-tip of a pitch, inexplicably narrowed on instruction by our dud manager, is so symbolic of the club’s downward spiral - not properly tended to and being left to rot. I fully expect next season to be exactly the same.
  20. An entirely reasonable wind-up tbf, given the specific circumstances. But certainly none of us on here were wildly celebrating the swap deal last summer.
  21. Tombola time yet again tomorrow. Feckless Farrell will have no earthly idea how to approach this. Make this season be over.
  22. I wondered the same thing. Club ambassador - is that a new thing? Anyway, the private members club mentality does not surprise me. That's been a permanent feature of our club for decades.
  23. Yeah, that was ritual humiliation. A complete embarrassment. Defending that had to be seen to be believed and huge chances passed up at the other end. Not one of the players gets pass marks, every single one of them was abominable. I said it a few weeks ago, there are a clutch of players in this team who look like they really struggle with football at League 2 level and every so often that gets exposed brutally. A better manager might be able to extract a tune from those lads but I guess that question is hypothetical, as Farrell is here to stay until the Rock melts with the sun. And on Farrell, obviously not helped by a defensive capitulation, but this clown honestly doesn’t help himself. Throwing on a clearly unfit Kalvin Orsi when we’re 4-0 down. Then allowing him to limp around for a further 10-15 mins clutching his leg….what the f**k? In the end I think Orsi just strolled off himself. Keeping the likes of Ruth and Newbury on for the full 90 in a match that was long gone? That’s genuinely terrible management of the football team.
  24. I wouldn't normally be terribly fussed about a midweek jaunt doon to Stranraer but the promise of a well-kept football pitch is difficult to turn down. Count me in.
