  1. Have been hearing a few bits and bobs. SFA will grant membership this week. The SFA want to give them membership so that they can chase them for the money from their fine. The vote to take them in SFL 1 will take place and I've spoken to a few people involved with SFL clubs - none of them had any idea how it will go. I believe that the plan for Rangers, if put to Div 3, would be to buy over Cowdenbeath - part of that buy out woould involve providing Cowden with a facility within 12/18 months good enough to meet SFL standards. Cowden woould then apply for Div 3, confident of beating the opposition as apparently only Spartans would be interested in applying AND ready to go now. Cove etc don't have a compliant ground for SFL and woudn't be ble to fix it for August. Spartans could be ready in time however due to previous negative press in the past, Cowden would be confident of taking the place, agreeing to ground share with Dunfermline for a season. Donald Finlay is the key to this but an option ONLY if Rangers don't get in Div 1. I fully expect them to get in there myself.
  2. Aye but since last time, Rangers have broken another rule by taking it to court. Therefore they can slap that bad boy in there. 1 year suspension from all football. That is where my money is going. (Dundee promoted to SPL)
  3. One of the conditions I see being that is it under english law only?! Can that be the case? Surely you can't just pick and choose whatever law you want?
  4. So bored of this - anyone who says anything against rangers must be a bigot. For the record, I'm protestant, attend church semi regular and I'm loving seeing Rangers suffer. I dislike Rangers more than Celtic (but only just). The tiresome knuckle draggers who shout loudest are the ones making it even better for us. Don't you see, were not bigots, we just hate the fact your disgrace of a club has shamed our game and we can't wait to see justice served.
  5. SFA reporting that the police have had to get involved as all members of the panel have received threatening communications. Dp the stupid knuckle dragging 'fans' doing this not realise they are doing more harm than good? They are shaming themselves and all of Scottish football - they seem to think we all need them where as certainly right now we would be much better off without them. Rather than win friends in their time of need and have a bit of dignity they are making as many enemies as possible and shaming themselves and their club. For too long we've tolerated intimidation like this in Scotland - it is about time that fans actions start to hurt their teams in situations like this. (as well as every single person who has sent threatening comms being charged for it)
  6. Rangers have applied to the SFA for a Euro license for next season. By all accounts the SFA can give them this inspite of the EURO rules. If they do I hope Motherwell sue them (if they finish 3rd)
  7. There are several well run non league sides who would love the addition of new supports who are sick of the SPL/SFL. People are not going to just stop going to all football - someone will always benefit from these things and probably best to ensure it is someone deserving of it.
  8. Let them. Come on Newco rangers, head south. We wish you well. Just promise not to come back please.
  9. I dont think there will be any investor serious enough to bring them back to the level of spending we saw 5 years ago. There are however enough people willing to work to prevent any liquidation happening. If there was no chance of the club being saved then the administrators wouldn't be trying to, the players wouldn't be taking the cuts and all these jobs wouldn't be saved. I dont know for a fact it wont happen but having spoken to a few people who work as administrators they've all said they dont think Rangers will be liquidated.
  10. This away fan thing - doing some very crude numbers here but I figure that at best the old firm games add up to 2000 extra people on away games. At £20 a head that is £40,000 a game. If you end up bottom 6, that is 3 games a season or 120,000 in a season. That is £2k a week per season. That is one less player in your squad. Obviously there are other factors like tv deal etc but on the away fans being what all clubs need to survive - its pishflaps.
  11. All Regan has said is it would be a disaster. For a lot of people it would be. He isn't saying everything should be done to ensure it doesn't happen. I think we are all so desperate to see it happen we are angry at anyone sayng it would be bad if it did. It would be bad, just not as bad as some mae it out to be.
