I don't think that's too outrageous, depending on the 12 or 13 he means.

Tete YengiThat's 11 there who are under contract, pending any relegation clauses, and I think that's a half decent starting point for next season. Jack Hamilton has done well when he's stepped in and Montano might regain functioning legs at some point. Not going to entertain the idea of Mackay choosing to join us in the Championship when I'm sure he'll have offers to play in the top flight.
There's 12 or 13 (depending on Montano's fitness) who I'd be fine with us keeping, though I'm almost certain he'll keep Guthrie and probably Nottingham and Devlin too.
Going to be a fun summer anyway.
Yes; when I first saw the numbers 12 or 13 I thought "who" and then I looked at the squad list.
I'd like to try and keep Jason Holt and Morgan Boyes but would expect Teto to be around as well.

It's a difficult one, from the outside looking at what he's done at Livi it was incredible, but for Livi fans the last 2 seasons have been a tough watch, he's used up all his good will for past accomplishments now. If he does stay on for next season, he isn't going to get any slack from the fans if he doesn't start with positive results, he'll have a job getting them back onside.
Not sure if he'd consider going to a DoF position taking a backseat, but his signings this season haven't been great either, especially in defence, or maybe if he had a fresh start at another club, and a bigger playing budget, he'd get his mojo back.
He's done okay considering the budgetary constraints but feel the label "incredible" to be a bit over the top.
Since taking over from Holt in November 2020 the team hit a purple patch until February after which they hardly won a game. However the credit they got in the winter was enough to make 6th place.
For 21/22 he managed 7th place due the an atrocious second half of the season. For 22/23 we managed to scrape 8th place.
This season only a miracle will stop us from getting 12th.
As for signings these haven't been exactly top notch either. Since the 21/22 season (the first one where he was manager for the full season) there's only been one play coming in (not as part of a player swap) who really deserves to be here - Stephen Kelly although I'd also include Jamie Brandon if he hadnt been so injury prone.
Other than that he's signed:
2022/23
Scott Bitsindou Lierse Free
Phillip Cancar Western Sydney Wanderers Free
Esmaël Gonçalves Sheikh Russel Free
Dylan Bahamboula Oldham Athletic Free
Shamal George Colchester United Undisclosed
Jack Hamilton Greenock Morton Free
Kurtis Guthrie RoundGlass Punjab Free
Steven Bradley Hibernian Undisclosed
Luiyi de Lucas FC Haka Free2021/22
Christian Montaño Port Vale Free
Tom Parkes Exeter City Free
Ayo Obileye Queen of the South Free
Harrison Clark Chester-le-Street United Free
Joel Nouble Aldershot Town Free
Andrew Shinnie Charlton Athletic Free
Sean Kelly Falkirk Free
Harry Panayiotou Aldershot Town Free
Stéphane Oméonga Pescara Free
Morgan Boyes Liverpool Free
Ivan Konovalov Rubin Kazan FreeThis season we have Yengi and Sangari looks like there might be a player in there. No ideal about Lawel and Teto.
Unfortunately we have consistently been losing good players and not replacing them.

How dare you asking a very pertinent question.
I remember when I was young and my mind was full of pertinent questions like why is the sky blue; how do emperor penguin's know where to go to roost or how come Margaret Thatcher's hair never moves even in a gale?
Nowadays I'm more concerned about how to pay the credit card; who on earth thought it was a good idea to sign Esmaël Gonçalves; even why is John McIlvogue listed as Chief commercial officer.
I refuse to worry about anything to do with the Teto situation; actually I said at the time that getting him here by using a visitors visa would never work but the consensus seemed to be that it was a strategy to get him in via the back door. He's still here so I suppose it worked in part but getting a working permit is almost impossible in my experience.

One of the reasons was that he failed to develop young players... The squad he had over 2 and a half years probably had the most academy graduates of ANY in our history.
Clowns.
Wasn't that at the time of Craig Easton; the Jacobs brothers, Mullen, Donaldson, Ross etc?

Anyone involved in sacking Gary Bollan should be embarrassed to be anywhere near the club. Ridiculous act of self-sabotage.
Wasn't one of the reasons given that he lived in Dundee and had refused to move closer to the ground?

With regard to the Livi for Life trust; if you're not a member please consider joining.
Its an unfortunate fact that with the trust having been around for 20 years there are some members who are no longer interested; who have left the area or are no longer with us.
I understand that some of the rule changes for the trust can require a better than 50% approval of the entire REGISTERED membership. Statistically that gets more challenging as numbers of active members reduces proportionately.

That's not true.
Have to say I agree. There are a significant segment of people that haven't renewed their season tickets and have vowed not to whilst Martindale is involved with the club; even before he became manager.

Ged Nixon is a Trust member? Odd one.
Trust has been around for 20 years so probably not that odd.

Hogarth was a season ticket holder long before he was involved upstairs.
His company (Braidwood Motors?) also sponsored the stadium for a year or two and presumably pumped some much needed funds into the club so I'm not inclined to question whether he's a supporter.
Doesn't mean I like the guy but I don't think the question as to whether he's a supporter is in doubt.

TBH Eighteen months doesn't sound a lot; particularly as he'll probably eligible for parole after six.

I thought he's improved remarkably with his second spell with us.
His first stint (in the first division?) was mediocre to okay and was worried about him coming back but he proved me wrong.
Unfortunately it didn't matter how poor Motherwell were on the day since then, we always had him to beat which contributed to making Motherwell a bit of a bogie team for us. Its just our luck on the once season where his form has clearly dropped; we struggle to even challenge the goalkeeper.

Livi commentary was brutal.
That is all.
Not as brutal as sitting watching it.
Maybe The weather means I'm being unfair but basically it looked like two teams without any premiership quality at all.
The difference is next season Aberdeen will have a new manager who will be building a new team; we will have Martindale.

An innocent person who you've upset for no reason. Yet nobody can stop you and nobody can make you care, you're right. It's up to you.
Don't know why you even bother communicating with this attention seeking waste of space. Doesn't care who else he upsets so long as he has a chance to manufacture more stories.
Just place him on the ignore list like the rest of us.

This happened to me in a kebab shop in Kent. When I replied Livingston, the guy hit out with some facts and half a dozen names of current (at the time) players as well as legends like Bingo and Stuart Lovell....I was genuinely dumbstruck at his knowledge
Impressive. You obviously go to a better quality kebab shop than me.

Did you wade in and batter everyone that sang the Rudi Skacel song?
Nah, you didn’t. Guess you condone racism then.
Racism? Surely you mean Xenophobia?

Need to get my eyes checked - when I first read it I though you said "Got us back for giving them Rod Stewart".
Mind you; now I cant get the bl00dy tune of "Sailing" out of my head.

I heard the rumour weeks ago and now seen it deleted twice in public. If it’s true I wonder if there will be some kind of safeguarding investigation?
I suspect the Administrators are keeping a close eye on this thread anyway after all the stuff that was going on recently. I did reply to your post that I thought you should deleted it as it was an unsubstantiated rumour from a sevco fan who probably already has an axe to grind after the debacle at the weekend. That is of course unless you have hard and fast evidence that would stand up in a court if accused of slander. That's beside the impact that such a post could have on his family; wife and children if any.
In any event its a personal matter; Dave Black has more than enough to answer for after what happened on Sunday.

Not even in the 70's, think my big bother wore them with platform shoes, and had that long hair poodle look.
Hey - I think you're only a year or two younger than me; you certainly would have worn them. I even remember "bell-bottoms" and "tank tops".
Platforms were a real leg breaker, particularly when running for a train, but also gave me many a headache when not realising the low beams in the local pubs were a lot closer now that I was three inches taller.

Fair enough I suppose but the statement "Prior to this fixture, a visiting supporters group called “The Green Brigade”, via the Celtic SLO, requested a Tifo display in all three stands allocated to the Celtic support and to have a banner displayed along the front of the East Stand. The banner was to read “You Play for Us and We’ll Sing for You”. does sound decidedly gullible.
I mean "Green Brigade"? Is that the same "Green Brigade" that was banned from their own stadium for "inappropriate activities"?

It always bugs me that whenever I go out of Scotland (Wales; Northern Ireland or Southern/middle England) and say I'm from Scotland; I'm asked what team I support. When answered "Livingston" I'm met with a blank expression followed by "No; Rangers or Celtic?".
TBH its happened so often it doesn't even really bother me now.

So is that "they want to leave if we're relegated" or "they wish to leave irrespective"
Doesn't sound much like playing to the last game to me.
