  1. In terms of “footballer subcategories” there just isn’t any better to watch than “veteran Italian centre half”. The perfect combination of defensive ability and pure, unadulterated scumbaggery. Every shithousing technique mastered to a fine art. Joyous
  2. Steve McManaman “don’t make a wild proclamation that is immediately proved incorrect by every replay and make yourself look like a twat” challenge Difficulty level: impossible
  3. Hope the Scottish w**k batters the snot out of the yank w**k. Lopez has genuinely come across as disturbed during the build up, like “probably shouldn’t be allowed to fight” disturbed, and some of the rubbish he’s come out with has been horrendous. Appreciate some of it will be to sell the fight, but I’m not convinced that’s only it. Can see Taylor winning fairly comfortably either with a finish or wide decision.
  4. There’s not a single one of us that wouldn’t do the same tbh. There’s also not a single one of us that doesn’t wish we could post like this The single greatest to ever do it.
  5. Walker is quadrupling down on his excruciating “banter”, and yet it’s still somehow marginally better than his “analysis”. A fucking idiot
  6. Walker’s “he still on the pitch” was Charlie Nic esque in the bad banter stakes. Crocker just ignoring it only made it more painful.
  7. Big fan of the county defenders finally realising how abysmal Laidlaw is, so just all standing like a firing squad in the 6-yarder
  8. Will hugely depend on who you ask but I'd say it's been a significant failure. Gone from a top 6 finish last year to finishing in the play-offs, the quality of football has fallen so far as to be maybe the worst anyone can remember, strengths of the few technically competent players available in the squad (Dhanda, Sims, etc) ignored as the ball flies over their heads time and again, and there doesn't seem to have been any development of youth players - either internally or bringing players in - to build towards the future. For me, that all points to a failed season, relegation or not. However, I'm sure if August comes round and County are still in the premier, Roy will have considered it a success, and that fat, useless sack of shit Malcy will still be in the dugout making supporting County less and less bearable with every day that goes by.
  9. You could always just stop reading and posting in it, rather than your eye gougingly tedious attempts to pick people up on semantics, general tone policing, and (admittedly quite funny) misunderstanding of Godwin's Law. Strong disagree. It's extremely helpful to the understanding of the Parties in a conflict when you can directly point to one and say "their arguments and viewpoints are supported by actual Nazi's. Nazi's agree and share these ideals". I tend to find that, other than excellent taste in fashion, if you're taking a position that is strongly favoured by actual Nazi's, you should reconsider your position.
  10. Platinum Membership seems to have "expired" even though I've not cancelled it, and now I'm getting the below: What is this hell?
  11. Very, very funny seeing the Celtics fight their way back to 3-3, only to give as meek and pathetic a performance as it's possible to give in a game 7 at their own arena. Was some very dodgy reffing in Game 6 also, so glad it was as clear as it was an no room for any further shenanigans towards the establishment celtics (they might have an Irish theme, but they're very *** like, especially with their racist, bigoted fans). Very funny indeed. I hope the Nuggets win, they have the best player and best / most balanced squad in the NBA, and I really enjoy watching them play, but certainly wouldn't grudge this Heat team winning it. There's a very workmanlike feel to them, in that although they've got some excellent 3-point shooting throughout the squad, they all feel a bit like great fits, rather than great players (which is credit to how good a coach Spo is), and even J. Buckets esquire is a fairly understated star compared to the majority of "leading players" for a championship contending team. It's very similar to Luka in that they dictate and play at their own pace completely, and there's very little anyone can do to try and speed them up, or take them out of rhythm. Two of my absolute favourite players to watch. Hopefully the Mavericks can put decent role players round Doncic the way that the Nuggets have.
  12. Woke up early bells this morning and watched it before work as couldn't risk possible spoilers or face having to wait a full day. It was perfect. The ending the programme deserved, the ending the characters (mostly) all deserved. Four full seasons to get to the entire crux of the show that's been running since season 1 ep 1 - Kendall in his most important moment yelling "but I'm the oldest boy" at his siblings who are yet again stabbing him in the back (mainly Shiv) purely as a result of their own egos and inability to let him win. Tense though it all was, was genuinely laughing at just how childish and petty Shiv saying "I just don't think you'd be good at it" was. This wasn't a serious persons real concerns being detailed out, this wasn't a critique of his competence (especially when we've seen glimpses in this season with the public speaking and maneuvering that he is actually capable) , it was a jealous sister breaking their own toy so their sibling didn't get to play with it. The stuff about killing the waiter and the legitimacy of the children was just the perfect final knife twist as well. It's all over. It's all come crumbling down. Kendall completely broken, Roman somewhat relieved to finally be out of the "bullshit" and Shiv stuck somewhere in between. Loved that they almost encapsulated the full "Shiv circle" meme twice in one episode as well. Schemes with Matsson, gloats, realises she's been wallet inspected yet again, joins the "incredible fuckbrother bandwagon", schemes some more, lets her ego and spite drive a last minute change of mind to f**k over her brother, and runs back to Tom's 'stability', even though there's no love there and it essentially puts her in the one position she fears the most...status with no power. Wife to a CEO, mother to a CEO's child, but no real say in anything, essentially just becoming her mum. Also loved Tom putting the sticker on Gregory the Eggory's forehead at the end and "claiming him" officially. Those two have probably provided the most comic relief throughout, but have also been key components in every major development, and whilst they're both self-serving scumbags, they're probably the most human main characters, the least pure evil / megalomaniacal, and actually do some legitimate work within a corporate structure, so maybe the most deserving "winners". The story, character development, dialogue and acting performances (Jeremy Strong especially) were just consistently phenomenal throughout, and finished with more of the same really. A top 5 programme of all time, and maybe my second favourite ever after Breaking Bad. Gutted it's finished tbh. "Goodbye my dear, dear world of a programme".
  13. 112-112 Honest to f**k, I should just watch the fights and not bother keeping it in for the scores any more. The levels of incompetence / corruption just makes me angry now.
  14. Okolie is quite simply not a very good boxer. A good athlete certainly, but not a good boxer. Footwork is sloppy and puts him off balance regularly, he doesn’t really have a jab, more just an outstretched left hand to let him load up for a massively telegraphed right hand, and when he does throw it, he launches forward and either grabs or smother his work so he can’t throw again. Think the last two knockdowns were actually pretty unfair, but with all the deductions and how poor Okolie has been, I’m not sure it should matter.
  15. Fantastic start in Conlon Lopez. Thought Conlon won the first two, and was doing well the first half of the third, but Lopez has been launching bombs since the start and caught Conlon with a number of them second half of the third. Fair play to Conlon for seeing it through. Big questions are whether Conlon can withstand it, or Lopez keep the pace going. All square after 4 for me. ETA: question answered, couldn’t withstand it, an absolute screamer of an uppercut as Conlon dipped his head. Beautifully timed.
  16. He’s already started calling him Rob. This is over before it’s even begun.
  17. I've seen maybe a few (only a few) better episodes of television (including Connor's Wedding), I've seen a few episodes of (fictional) television that just made you feel mildly uncomfortable with the overall story and motivations / actions of the characters, but I don't think I've ever seen anything like that combined. From start to finish it was just tense and frantic, and even the comic relief (Greggory Peggory fake snorting lines, "WASABI", etc) had an impact on the development of the story. This is also the one episode I can remember where there is just not a single shred of humanity left with any character by the end, just pure self-interest throughout, which, considering we only have two episodes left, is a perfect set-up for this family of sociopaths to eat each other.
  18. Class touch to photograph all the delegates and supporters that attended.
  19. Turgid pish is just about the most complimentary I can be about that Buatsi Stepien fight. Awful. Hope Canelo doesn’t actually kill John Ryder later on, but I am concerned.
  20. “Ideally you want the fans to celebrate in the terracing and not on the field of play” Get fucked
  21. Genuinely can’t believe anyone is posting on P&B outside “Scottish Championship General Chatter” right now. Get them banned, mods!
