  1. Think they probably done exactly that tbh. Richard probably got the easiest task in a long time (I didn’t watch last years’ but heard it was tame). He should have been launching rotten fruit and fish guts everywhere to try and find the stars. Not sure I’m that into the Welsh Castle setting really.
  2. Yeah, I’ve read a few bits about that case recently that has been reported, it’s really horrific.
  3. My gf asked yesterday if we could put ours up once someone else in our street put theirs up. What’s the point in getting them up this early? I always get a real tree. First off I haven’t seen any real trees for sale yet, and secondly, if there were, and we got one today, I seriously doubt it would be looking good come Christmas Day. I’m with you, wait until December.
  4. Ouch, that’s wild to read. I’ve met him a couple of times, only briefly right enough, and I don’t have a vagina, but he always seemed brand new. That will probably sink the Bluetones, if it becomes mainstream knowledge. As much as I love the band and have done for 20 odd years, I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable paying money to sing along to a narcissistic p***k who thinks it is acceptable to throttle a woman. Edit: I was listening to Science & Nature in the car last week and was thinking how the song Last of the Great Navigators would be a good song for Liverpool fans to sing about Naby Keita.
  5. Thought we were going to get battered when I read the teamsheet pre-match. Queens Park looked really poor, not what I was expecting after the last encounter at Broadwood, should have had a couple of goals before half time, we were there for the taking. Don’t think Goodwillie was on form today, potentially carrying a knock? Couldn’t wait to get rid of the ball in the first half, was only really after half time that he looked to run with the ball, and still looked a bit jaded. F**k knows what he was doing with the penalty, carbon copy of the one he missed in the last game. Didn’t think it was a dirty game at all, not sure how we managed to pick up five bookings, wild. Think we probably will be the happier of the two sets of fans, I’d have taken a point all day long before a ball was kicked today.
  6. That is one of my favourite episodes ever. Onwards Christian soldier.
  7. My first job with my current employer was to analyse qualifications and determine if they were exempt from sitting certain exams in order to become an accountant. It was universally agreed that qualifications from UNISA were the worst in the world to determine if they were allowed exemptions or not. Six years on from that job and I had the fear as soon as I saw your certificate. I hope you are proud.
  8. We don’t have any set break times or whatever, just go whenever you like, whether that’s when we are working in the office or at home. I’ll maybe drop my line manager a quick message if I’m going to be away for longer than 15 minutes, but it’s never a bother. The work always gets done, and I think our managers realise this and just let us crack on ourselves. I do work in a pretty small team, not sure if that makes a difference or not. I have a friend who works in a larger team, and it’s as close to a call centre as you could possibly have really. Think it’s mental how different two teams are in the same organisation in terms of management.
  9. That was quite a horrible watch last night, not sure on sentencing guidelines in England and Wales for GBH, but I was really surprised he only got three years for causing irreparable damage to the child. Having had two children I can get how emotional it is at the beginning, when they won’t stop crying, but I just couldn’t ever picture a moment where I would lose it enough to start shaking a child, makes the mind boggle.
  10. ^^^^ Fuming he’s not from Scotland’s best city.

  12. Albino pumpkin? Edit: that’ll teach me for not reading the post before commenting!
  13. Nah, she definitely didn’t make roast potatoes to annoy me. She loves them when I make them.
  14. My gf wanted to make dinner tonight, which is fine, as I’ve probably not had a night off from making dinner in at least 2 months, but it had to be a Sunday. My favourite meal of the week, one which I put hours of effort into making. She wanted to make steak pie, which was delicious tbf, but made mash rather than roast potatoes. I fucking hate mash potatoes. To make matters worse, she asked me to mash them as it’s too difficult, and no matter how much I battered f**k out of the spuds, they were still lumpy. Furious.
  15. I was laughing my head off at that part. “Oh it’s Robert! That’s my nephew!” No shit Sherlock.
  16. Aye, think we’re in the uncovered terracing. Class.
  17. Fully expecting to be shot down here, but as a divorced father who has his kids one week out of two, and has been the case for five years now, I genuinely wonder how I was ever able to have them with me, all the time. Don’t get me wrong, I love my kids more than life, but when it gets to the day before the changeover I almost breathe a sigh of relief, it’s like a tornado has hit the house when they’re here. They’re 12 (nearly 13) and 10, and they just bicker and argue almost constantly. I’ve tried to do different things with each of them, my youngest has taken a keen liking to football lately, so been taking him to Clyde games whenever he’s here, and my gf has been making sure my eldest hasn’t been feeling left out, doing baking, or trips to Costco or a walk in the park when we’re there, but as soon as they’re together they just pull the house down. Hasn’t really helped that my eldest son (ASD) had a pretty terrible start to the week at school, having to collect him at lunch because of how disruptive he had been. Not really asking or requiring advice, just looking to vent, and say, fair fucking play to all that have their kids 100% of the time.
  18. Pork tenderloin tonight, first bit was stuffed with black pudding and wrapped in bacon, second bit stuffed with sage and onion stuffing and the third bit was with a rosemary, thyme and garlic rub. Sensational.
  19. Hope he’s OK and someone has spotted him at some point during the day.
  20. I think it’s only natural to feel how you feel if you see how people your age are compared to your own at 40. We all do it, we all try and measure ourselves against others, when in reality we have no idea how their lives actually are when the curtains are drawn. I used to do it all the time. I was 30, divorced, getting my kids half the time, living on my own and in an up and down relationship, utterly fed up with my lot, and it killed me to see people who were arseholes having a great life (on paper), much better than I had. Just had a moment where I thought “They could easily be miserable, just masking it.” It’s so easy to make yourself the clown of the group, always cracking jokes and just masking how you’re feeling, so it’s a good thing to have opened up to friends to say how you’re feeling. You’re not alone brer. Keep the head and feel free to reach out if you need to.
  21. That was fucking dreadful today, I genuinely feel for Rumsby, what the f**k was Danny Lennon thinking? We’re a quarter of the season in and I don’t think he knows who his best XI is. Signings have been woeful. With Cove, Falkirk and Dumbarton in our next three games, and East Fife picking up form, I have the gear we’ll be bottom before too long.
  22. Princess Anne opened our new office in 2017 and she had her own private toilet with metal shields around it. Wondered if she used it, and if she did if she had guards standing outside the door for her. Dropping a big shite, hearing the plops.
