  1. The West Premier hasn't been decided yet, still a chance of a three way play off for the LL.
  2. Congratulations to Nithsdale Wanderers on winning the SCFA Alba Cup. Goals from Steven Degnan, Declan Hill and Scott Milligan secured a 3-0 win over Lochar Thistle in the final, ensuring the Alba Cup returns to Sanquhar for the second time in 3 years.
  3. No pie at Nithside today pal, the game's off.
  4. Are Talbot licensed? They're only 5 points behind Beith with a game in hand.
  5. I agree they are in a good position and I'd be surprised if they don't win it, at the moment however they aren't pissing it, that's why I replied to the earlier post.
  6. You're letting yourself get worked up by what one person wrote in a match report, that's basically it. I know a few of the Mids players from their time at Queens youths, reserves and first team, unless they have changed, be assured that those lads minset wouldn't have been negative before the game. I don't disagree that there might be teams that have the wrong attitude, but not sure pointing the finger at Mids because of one persons match report was the right way to go about it.
  7. Next round for the South of Scotland league teams. Creetown v Ashfield. Newton Stewart v Leith Athletic. Troon v Abbey Vale.
  8. Hope you don't mind a bit of feedback. Doing some research and having all the relevant info/notes written down beforehand would make the podcast far more listener friendly. It would eliminate the many silent spells and mistakes (which, fair play you corrected most). That said, keep at it, it's good to have a bit of coverage on these leagues.
  9. But they didnae. A lot of happy clappers on their FB page tonight.
  10. Fair play to him. There's a lad at Kello Rovers and this will be his 15th season, I don't suppose he or the club will know how many games he's played. You'd have to think it would be around about 300 at least.
  11. Tbh it was the Scoreline at the Dalbeattie game that surprised me, I thought it would've been tight, maybe just a bad day at the office.
  12. Ooft, and breathe. Feeling better now? No comment didn't last long. Enjoy yir fitba, that's all that matters. And aye, you've got the South page moving again, fair play. But it would be boring if nobody replied, naw?
  13. You keep mentioning tiers, forget about them. The South league is tier 6 in name only, everyone knows that, nobody is kidding themselves on that it means the South is on the same level as West premier. Last season the South league was competitive, 3 teams still in the hunt for league winners near the end of season which was great. It looks like it will be another competitive season, Dalbeattie should be in the mix as well this year, so alls good. Forget about tiers and enjoy the South for what it is.
  14. Think some went to play for Birchtree in the Sunday league.
  15. Nae pleasing some folk, nae wonder eh? Aye it's a guid idea to send a team on a 160 mile round trip midweek. If only there was another option, oh wait there is, plenty of teams closer to Sanquhar than Newton, but we'll just ignore that fact. Have a wee look at the West midweek fixtures, at least the bloke tries to keep it as local as possible for the teams.
  16. As has already been said, whoever it is that's doing the fixtures should have a rethink. Is there any need to send Nithsdale to Newton Stewart on a Wednesday night? I don't think so.
  17. Perhaps the score at Port Glasgow was a shock, but wouldn't say the result was, just need to look at how the Rovers finished last season and how preseason has went for them not to be surprised. That said they were missing a lot of players yesterday, so much so they had 2 from management and a trialist just to help fill the bench up. The money isn't there to splash about so it might be a long hard season for them, best wait for a few more games and then we'll get a better take on the situation.
  18. You're right, they're not promoted yet, only a matter of time though.
  19. I totally get that, we all make mistakes but to watch a keeper kick a player up the arse and carry on as if nothing has happened can't be right, that's more than a mistake I'd say.
