To be fair, it’s very impressive to lose over 40% of your games, despite having the second best defence in the league.

The only time we've lost by more than one goal was against Airdrie at the start of the year. We never get hammered but it appears to point towards a team that doesn't take much to be defeated because they are so toothless at the other end of the pitch.

  2. Ross Morrison allegedly stated at a recent fans meeting that they've not made any plans regarding the finances if we were to be relegated. I assume it's meant to come across as bullish belief that we're going to stay up, relegation isn't on our minds, it's not going to happen etc. If that's true then it seems naïve but perhaps it is just a front and the do have some kind of contingency planning ongoing.

He doesn't look joyous in his interviews right enough. Keeping ICT up should put a smile on his face (and I do hope that happens).

I vaguely remember reading that one of the ICT Directors was paying his salary or am I making that up??

That's the rumour anyway. And it's a pretty chunky salary as well if the rumours are true.

  4. I thought we deserved the win and whilst we were pretty sound defensively I was disappointed at how toothless we were going forward. We didn't create much of note. Neither did Queens mind but very little to show from an ICT perspective.

Cracking free kick by Harper. It was in as soon as it left his boot. Only other real chance of note for us was perhaps the Mckay opportunity when he passed up a 1 on 1 in the second half.

Queens were desperately poor though. Whilst we had little attacking threat for most of the 90 minutes the home side were seldom able to muster a shot. Sheridan had a well struck effort saved at the start of the second half and Paton almost snatched a late equaliser when the ball dropped to him in the box but it seemed to roll down his shin instead of connecting with his foot and Ridgers saved easily.

Gives us a real chance to avoid the playoffs now but it's far from over.

That sort of stuff really annoys me for exactly the reason you have said. I know it’s not exactly fantasy land stuff to say we could beat Arbroath tomorrow and then Queens Park next weekend leaving you needing 1 win from 3 but there is zero evidence from the previous 31 games to suggest it is even remotely likely.

Makes you wonder why the journalist(s) that cover the club never point this kind of stuff out. I guess they are afraid of losing access to the players / manager.

I'm sure on Monday we'll have another "Former ICT player thinks ICT can avoid relegation if they win some games" type article in the P & J.

Bills trading Diggs to the Texans. Absolutely did not see that coming even if he was unhappy, will be eating a huge bunch of dead cap.

$31 million in dead cap space being eaten by the Bills. Apparently a record for a non QB.

And we don't create any chances.  We just pass it about the back and when we do get it wide, we go all the way back to Ridgers.

The game will go exactly like this -

Arbroath will play a low block, and sit in with two banks of 5.  Our back 5 and midfield 3 will then proceed to play the ball across the pitch in a kind of U/Horseshoe shape all game.  With 30 minutes to go, you'll nick it off us, break 5 on 4 and one of your wingers/midfielders will cut it back for a Jay Bird tap in.  Ferguson will then change from a 3-5-2 to a 3-3-4 formation and we'll launch it to substitute Aribim Pepple for the last half hour and nothing will stick. Ferguson and Gary Bollan will then scream at the linesman for every decision, with one or both of them being booked.  Arbroath will win 1-0 and Ferguson in his post match interview will say we were the better team and he's delighted with the performance.

It all started to well, what happened?

From what I've read and heard Ferguson has one style of play and he seldom adapts if things aren't going to plan. It makes John Hughes look like he employs direct football. Also, some of the players moved on have been replaced with loan jobbers who aren't particularly good. He has also fallen out with (some of) the players which isn't helping either.

He came over to the fans at the bottom of the stand who were clearly pissed off & he got told where to go by a few. His attitude then changed completely where he started shouting back going on about how we only lost cause we were down to 10 men. Nothing wrong with his tactics & decisions of course

What planet is this guy on? I get showing appreciation to the away support even after a lose but coming up to that section was just stupid. Especially with the run we're currently on & our current position in the league etc etc

You could cleary see they weren't happy so why the f**k would you walk up to them like a patronising c**t then act shocked when you get told a few home truths 🤦

He seemed puzzled as to why home fans were upset a few weeks back when they'd seen us draw again. Apparently two wins at home all season is good form in the mind of Ferguson.
