  1. Wasn't that just the 3 Island authorities rather than all L1 areas ?
  2. Two professors both members of the UKs vaccine advisory committee giving media interviews today. One said he expected that life should be pretty much back to normal after the first quarter of 2021, the other said he fully expects measures such as SD, home working and face covering still being the norm until this time next year. Clearly no one has a clue how this immunisation program will play out at this stage.
  3. That chart is misleading. N and E Ayrshire both were given notice they might be heading down to L2 while South was out on notice that L4 wasn't out the question yet that graphic has them all identical.
  4. Miners originally from Ayrshire working in Fife mines perhaps ?
  5. Or you just made it up when on the sauce at the weekend perhaps ?
  6. But....but...Todd said there was a blanket T4 lockdown to be confirmed today....
  7. South Ayrshire is one of if not the Retiral / Nursing Home capital of Scotland and with new home outbreaks being reported almost daily in the local press I'm not surprised it's fuelling a rise. Add to that the number of weekend day trippers still descending on Troon and Prestwick and it's not difficult to see how current restrictions will be having little effect. Also still plenty public transport workers travelling to and from Glasgow daily.
  8. Wording is interesting 90% effective in TREATING Covid is how it's being reported so sounds more like a treatment for those with the virus rather than an immunisation. That might just be a news outlet reporting issue though. ETA obviously significant enough for the Clown troop to call a live tv address at 5.00 tonight.
  9. If Goodwin is determined to play the 3/5 at the back, the width is going to be provided by the wing backs so unless Connolly has the defensive capabilities to play that role I'm not seeing where he fits into that formation. It seems odd bringing him in if JG always had the wing back plan at the back of his mind unless he thought he could do that role but training has shown otherwise. Alternatively JG might see him as something other than a wide player in which case he can't be showing much if the likes of Cammy are getting the attacking support slot ahead of him.
  10. I was taking my wall baskets down for the winter yesterday. Against the fence the wood behind was encrusted with slaters (wood louse) and my resident Robin was literally sitting 2 feet from me waiting for each basket to be removed before hopping down a plank and gorging on the wee beasties. He was fearless.
  11. Celery and Vinegar, foods of the devil. Like tomatoes in every state except raw plus love peach but cant touch the skin, textural thing. Basically that's it thoroughly enjoy everything else.
  12. The defender won the ball but realised it was going to run for Obika and just tripped him with his follow through, definitely a pen 8 times out of 10.
  13. Wait 2-3 weeks for the Greenock firework party to kick in, might see figures there rocket.
  14. Geoffrey Palmer butterfly's off to the great theatre in the sky
  15. The isolation appears not to have changed in this experiment which I suspect will put a large chunk of the population off taking part.
  16. From what's being reported it appears a positive rapid test will be followed by a regular swab / lab test in an attempt to legitimize the positive result. From the reporting it looks like the second test is due to members of the public seeking assurance before embarking on 14 days self isolation. Presumably this is also in an attempt to assess the reliability of a rapid test the govt have already spent hundreds of millions buying.
  17. It's a worrying development given how many Mink naturalise after escaping from farms. Loads of them around Argyll
  18. I see NI to be allowed 1000 in to their playoff final. About 1 in 19 of the seats so pretty much similar to the RC "crowd" tomorrow at about 1 in 21.
  19. Correct but I doubt that's what Todd had in mind . You would also describe them by those names not as a bowl of soup. Just getting pedantic in the extreme now. I'm off to bed.
  20. A bowl of soup is a starter similar to prawn cocktail or pate not a main. I cannot recall seeing soup listed as a main course on a menu. The owner was correct and most certainly not a moron. Basic common sense. Thankfully business owners are more sensible and intelligent than some of the contrary roasters on PnB.
  21. Read the good post quoting the regs above, there is no "substantial " in them I have no idea where folk keep getting this from.
  22. Obviously some areas will require copious legal input but something like public health will simply be left to challenge in the knowledge it probably won't be. The legislation relating to taxation and welfare that I have been dealing with probably should have more legal input as its frequently challenged (and successfully too)
  23. But that's pyoor confusing !!!Just do as I am and stay away from all pubs and restaurants while these measures exist, I have absolutely no interest in them as it stands.
