  1. Whats the situation for away fans with regards to paying on the day for this game?
  2. Hi Qos fan here. Just checking if fans can pay at the gate for Saturday's fixture.
  3. Would you not have Shaun Rooney in the squad? For us he was inconsistent but since leaving he has done well at St Johnstone and in League One with Fleetwood Town
  4. Id like to see Grant Murray take charge on his own with a coaching role to begin with for Gibson. He could then potentially step up if Murray leaves further down the line. Id be all for giving the job to Gibson now but if it means he would have to retire as a player then imo hed be far too big a loss as he has been head and shoulders our best player these last 2 years and still has so much to offer.
  5. I see Jake Hastie has returned to Rangers from his loan at Partick. Hes a player I can see us going for.
  6. Anyone know who the trialist is for Edinburgh City tonight?
  7. I was part of the group who never particularly rated Dykes at Queens and have been proven truly wrong since he left. He has discovered the knack of being in the right place more and is scoring typical strikers goals now. He's also much improved in the air in terms of scoring. At Queens he was very good with flick ons but did he ever score a header for us? He has improved beyond belief and have to say fair play to those who spotted his scope for improvement because I sure as hell never thought he'd achieve what he has in a million years. To be honest he's now already outdone what Dobbie did in his whole career in terms of doing it at a higher level.
  8. Not yet! There was an update round about this time last year with all the reserve players that had signed up. I see a few have featured like Dunn in pre season and certainly to begin with it looks as though they will be regular members of the squad. Perhaps some of the trialists that have been on the bench are players more geared towards the reserve team aswell. On a seperate note does anyone know if we are continuing with the match programme this season
  9. Hes the only one on the unofficial fb page that was referred to when it comes to who impressed. I have to admit I didn't recognise any of the others and it seems noone else does either. Theres another good gallery from the game on the JS Sports and Photography page on fb
  10. Dapo Mebude set to move down south to Watford. A good opportunity for the lad
  11. That's a depressing way to look at it imo. The hope is we can unearth some outstanding players, actually gain promotion then we will be in a strong position to keep the good performers. Last season was interesting seeing guys like Obileye who we weren't aware of come up here and make a big impact and the more players we develop the better selling point the club has
  12. There were occasions where u saw what Dickson could do. I remember one particular run he did where he effectively knocked players out of the way forcing his way through with his strength. It reminded me of John McGinn. His latter performances were certainly better than his earlier ones imo.
  13. We have recently started following Rico Quitongo on twitter! I wonder if anything can be read into that!
  14. Or alternatively you could end up stuck with bang average or rank rotten players on 2 year deals who barely try an arm or a leg safe in the knowledge they have the protection of the contract. Fans might not feel like buying season tickets if we are stuck with a group we know are rubbish. The unknown can be exciting. Last season was exciting as we unearthed some gems and the hope is we can do that again this season. The club could maybe protect themselves by having an option to extend clause in their contract
  15. Last season was the model we should always look to follow. Signing a mix of new players from down south, young promising loanees and some experienced heads who know the league well. It would be nice if our own youth system could blood through a few young players too. Last season was a lost generation in some ways as there was no youth/reserve footy so they couldn't really kick on as usual. Johnston did a decent job on a low budget.
  16. It would be great if we could give players 1 year deals with us having the right to extend that at any time. Lots of the time players are scrambling for clubs and offers and doing this will ensure we are protected from losing our best assets for nothing, whilst protecting us from being lumbered with useless players for 2 years as we could choose not to extend.
  17. Its surprising if true that Gibson is unsettled! If there was one player youd think would be a shoe in to stay it would be him. He has had an excellent season playing for his local club.
  18. Think him, East and Joseph were useful young squad players who all contributed. Would keep them all next season and hopefully they kick on.
  19. It'd be mixing it up if we went short tbh. Since McCabe has been back in the squad our throw-ins have consisted of him going long and 9 times out of 10 the first man heading clear. A complete waste of possession. Oh what I'd give for us to get a CM who asks for the ball and is comfortable in possession next season. We have one in McKie! The hope is he can stay fit.
  20. Hopefully this season going into next we can see abit more continuity. Id like to keep the vast majority of our signed players if possible. The only one I feel is certain to leave is McKechnie who has only featured once. Would like to see Dobbie get to play in front of the fans again but he might need to take a wage cut. I don't think we will be able to keep Obileye, Shields and Pybus and I feel keeping Ferguson might prove tricky as hes a solid keeper. Of the loan boys have heard Breen is going on loan to America, but Id love it if we could get back all the others who have all shown moments of quality. Maxwell has been the pick of the bunch imo.
  21. Who was your trialist yesterday? Looking to update my list for my pastspfl page on twitter for Dunbarton.
  22. Even if we fall short this season, I feel Johnston has identified a highly effective way of playing and even if next season sees further wholesale changes it would be nice if we could sign these speed merchants in forward areas like we have this season to make for entertaining viewing. Its such a boost Shields being back, but such a shame Jones is out.
