  1. If there's anything the last year has told us, it's cheats always prosper.
  2. Most of what I was going to say is covered by Johnny Fingers, Raith was definitely his best game, not just for saves but he just looked confident which spread into the defence as well. I like how he's adapted to Robbie's play from defence tactic so well, you could probably count on one hand the amount of times he punted it up the pitch as opposed to passing it out to the defence or Gomis. My reasoning behind keeping him in the team is purely down to the fact he's not had a bad game, even if he's not had a magnificent one. I'd actually be tempted to keep Hamilton and Gallagher in the squad and use Alexander as the goalkeeping coach/backup since our squad methodology seems to be give younger players a chance.
  3. Yep, 2nd of September was the deadline.
  4. Let's hope those with no intentions of voting forgot to register before the deadline.
  5. Hamilton should stay as number 1 until he makes a mistake, he's done nothing to merit being dropped and would be an unfair hit on the confidence for a young player.
  6. Surprised at both of them being told they can leave considering they're probably first choice reserves in their respective positions at the moment. I quite like Robinson though he's always had a bit of a hard time from Hearts fans, suffered from the Csaba reign as one of those players that didn't really have a position and was then tried out all over the park. From then on no matter which position he played you'd have fans moaning at him for playing too deep or too high up the pitch, I'm still not even sure which position he considers himself as. Came across as a bit of a petulant wee dick at the start of last season though. I mentioned in another thread I rate Smith higher than Walker so more gutted at this. Has everything that Walker does IMO but with a greater physicality about himself rather than chucking himself to the floor, suppose if El Hass is about ready to start playing he'll be competing with Walker for that spot. Still seems harsh on Smith. Can't actually remember the last time I was disappointed about players potentially leaving the club, shows the progress we've made from a year ago.
  7. It's some fine dedication. A real wasted talent though, if he put the same dedication into his astrophysics then we could be looking at the next Sir Patrick Moore, instead he's nothing more than a diddy Brian Cox.
  8. Don't really see the point of banning Paulo tbh, he'll just crop back up with more alias accounts. At least if he stays he eventually stops and contributes like a normal poster.
  9. Likewise if it's the same as Grant Management in Dundee - avoid. Looked at my timetable for next semester and I'm only in 4 hours a week, not including the odd dissertation workshop every so often. Plenty of time to work on my dissertation but a bit worried due to my inability to study without a deadline/pressure on me.
  10. The 5-1 chat is like a moth to a flame when it comes to Hibs fans.
  11. Not missed a game at Ibrox since 2007-ish. All these bloody proper fans coming in and stealing our tickets for this game.
  12. You could go to the same number of games as someone else and end up with 20 - 30 less loyalty points depending on which games you choose though, which is where I tend not to agree with that statement. It's definitely the fairest way, and once it gets to over 100 then it's obviously fans that go to a fair chunk of games and deserve to go.
  13. Way to glaze over the point of my post. I've not once said I blame the loyalty points system for not having the points to qualify for the Rangers game. Even if I'd been given loyalty points for the away games I attended I wouldn't be touching 115 points (I'd definitely be more hopeful of any second phase right enough!) - I simply don't attend enough games, I'm stating the point I should be paying more attention to which games qualify for loyalty points. Edit: This is the first time I've not reached the threshold for a game. Reserving the right to be gutted.
  14. I'm in two minds about club shop purchases, the good thing about loyalty points is that it acts as an initiative for people to attend games, I'd hate to see that change. I agree in principle with the FOH pledge loyalty points, but I'm not sure how much change it would make if +8,000 are getting the same points, unless it's scaled on how much you donate. Will be cropping up more often than not this season, unfortunately.
  15. Thought it was a pretty obvious dig at the Loyalty Points system tbh. It's the fairest way to allocate tickets under the circumstances, and those who attend the most games are rewarded. I can't complain since I rarely (until I bought a season ticket for this season, that is) attended home games due to cost and travel but primarily attended away PATG games, mainly because they are often much more enjoyable than those at home and could be chosen at the last minute. It shows a flaw but given the low away capacities this season meaning most games will be all ticket it should work really well, as it did in the early Romanov years.
  16. Tickets for Ibrox have been announced: Surprised we've got as many as 1700 given the rumours that we were only getting the usual 950. Not really confident about getting a ticket with only 53 loyalty points though, unless demand is a lot lower than expected. Really need to start playing the loyalty points game better, been far too complacent in attending pay at the gate games (including a trip to both Ross County and Inverness without any loyalty points) rather than ticketed home friendlies against Man City.
  17. I ride Lorraine Kelly at least once a week, if not more.
  18. I thought he was really poor against Dundee, was forced out wide quite a lot and failed to beat his man all game. Certainly never looked like a threat, I wouldn't judge him on that performance right enough since the whole team was collectively poor, disappointed though after hearing good things of when he was at Accies. Looks to me like he'll be our sub striker for the opening of the season, or until which point Carrick or Sow lose form.
  19. Didn't think so unless he'd changed into a decent poster after a name change. Carry on.
  20. 5-1 will inevitably be talked about for a long, long time on the basis it was the biggest game in history between the 2nd biggest rivalry in Scottish football. Shame. I didn't realise Rowan Vine's Bear is the same poster as Green and White Army, far too few breakdowns.
  21. It's all getting a bit out of hand, I'll tap you the £9 for Sodje UltraJambo to avoid any confrontations. Just PM me all your bank details mate. Shame on all the Jambos digging the boot in.
  22. I was halfway to saying signing on instead but I'd rather not feel the wrath of UltraJambo, I'm only a fucking yellow belt man.
  23. This has taken a disappointing downturn in hilarity. When does Ultra Jambo finish work so we can get back to things being pwopa nawty.
  24. Aye...about that game tonight. We were bad, really really bad. Fair enough we didn't resort to pumping it up the pitch but that defence certainly wasn't one to be playing out of. Think McKay will be okay as backup for us in the championship, I'd be surprised if we see him in the premiership when we return though. Wingers were poor today, couldn't beat a man at all, played some nice passing stuff and then tried failed chipped balls through to Keatings. Thought the whole display was really lazy, probably your average pre season game compared to Dundee who looked well up for it, who themselves looked excellent. A bit disappointed that it wasn't our strongest team today, good to get to the first game of the season though.
  25. Aye, seems rude not to what with it being so close, actually quite looking forward to seeing both teams for the first time after the transfers. Wouldn't expect more than 100 or so Jambos through, not even much point opening the away stand. Only £5 for student's.
