  1. Basically the council designs don't meet SPFL criteria on seating and turnstiles. They refused all lobbying from City to change it unless the club paid for said changes. We politely declined. At least thats my understanding. Happy to be corrected by those more in the know than me.
  2. It looks exactly the same as the honking temporary stands they had at Watsonians. I'm guessing they will just use hospitality and other facilities at Murrayfield and walk over so doesn't need much infrastructure. However they could have been a bit more adventurous with the design.
  3. Looks mega cheap to be honest. Location wise it's better than Ainslie, but not sure 300 to 500 in an 8000 seater stadium is the way ahead.
  4. So considering we will have around 25% less home games this season, how much do we reckon Season Tickets will cost this year? Not sure if the club will sell them soon or wait until we have definite confirmation fans will be allowed in to grounds by October. Also anyone know if we are keeping the same shirts this year? Forgive the random questions, I am missing the fitba and trying to fill the void.
  5. There is enough sewage down there already...
  6. The way the post is written, it sounds as if there will be two seperate embankments for home and away fans? Am I reading that right?
  7. He is one of those Marmite type of players. My cousin and I think he is great, my dad isn't keen. Good player if a little inconsistent at times but tricky on the ball with an eye for goal. I always feel his performance depends on his confidence levels. I think he will do well for you.
  8. Went for a walk past today and I have to say it's looking very impressive, and much further on than i'd imagined. I'd like to think people at the club would maybe ask the question but who knows.
  9. Is there not still major arguments between the local residents and accies thats holding the building works up? Something to do with a wall that got knocked down.
  10. Agreed. Stockbridge is a very good location for transport, pubs and food aswell. All depends how compliant it would be for SPFL licensing and if a deal could be agreed.
  11. Queens were excellent and well worth their victory. City were poor from the off and in truth, we were lucky to be in front to start with. Hopefully just a blip but that performance was reminiscent of the latter part of last season. A little break from the league next week might do is some good.
  12. The 1st half was probably the worst game of football i have seen for a few seasons. The ball was lucky if it touched the deck a handful of times! Cowden were really well organised and compact without really offering any goal threat. Whilst City weren't up to their usual standards, we always looked more likely to nick a goal. I thought Alan Smith was superb and should have been awarded MOM.
  13. Took me an hour and 40 minutes to get to Ainslie from Danderhall.....I seen us lose 3-1 In the draw thats all that matters.
  14. Yeah thats the one. There have been problems with the Locals and planning permission so not sure how long it's going to take. The location has everything football fans would want except from parking really.
  15. My preference would be to groundshare with Edinburgh Accies Rugby who are building a new stadium at Stockbridge, however, i'm not sure if it will meet SPFL criteria or has even been considered. Unfortunately, my gut feeling is we will be at Ainslie Park for the foreseeable.
  16. Couldn't make it tonight due to my son's training however, a convincing victory by the sounds of things. Handling, Shepherd and Harris really are great attacking options when on form. The gap between the top 3 and the rest widening more with each passing week.
  17. Queens started brightly but quickly faded out of the game allowing City to get the ball on the deck and play. City weren't quite as free flowing as they have been in previous weeks but it was enough against a misfiring opposition. Like last week we rested on our laurels, allowing the opposition a foothold in the game and making for an uncomfortable final 10 minutes or so. Handling and Shepherd were standouts for me.
  18. No mate closed a couple of years ago. Best bet for traveling fans is the Roseburn bar about a 10 minute walk from Away End. Not sure if they let Kids in though. Murrayfield Sports bar on Westfield road lets children in. Mostly home fans but away fans are welcome aswell.
