  1. Looks like Vale coming on at HT for Motherwell. Every time I've seen him play he's faked a head knock so I'm fully to have a full blown meltdown if/when he does it tonight
  2. We don't have a choice tbh, our options at CB other than him are currently: Mikey Devlin - shite Sean Kelly - shite Michael Nottingham - slightly less shite Shaun Donnellan - injured Mo Sangare - looked okay at LCB/LWB in a back 3, not convincing at LB in a 4 and probably not great as a CB in one Calan Ledingham - 11 years old Drop Obileye and we're starting both Devlin and Nottingham in the same back line, no thank you.
  3. Sangare on Saturday, Gogic tonight. Exactly the kind of "luck" (good pressing in this case IMO) that you need in a relegation fight.
  4. https://scotcourts.gov.uk/docs/default-source/cos-general-docs/pdf-docs-for-opinions/2024csoh19.pdf I'm not a legal expert, and am very much a skim reader, so might be well off here but sounds like Hogarth gets the 3 points on this occasion. I imagine this might be the most important part in terms of the future:
  5. Stick Season has been stuck in my head for weeks now. To add to this, a band called Citizen Soldier popped up on my Spotify recommendations ages ago and I think I've liked every song I've heard by them since then. A bit more to the point with their lyrics though. Used to think people were being unnecessarily dramatic when they'd say "x song saved my life" but over the years I've definitely realised how comforting it can be to hear a song that sounds like it was written for you. My dad passed away unexpectedly last month (wrote out about 3 separate posts for this thread that didn't get sent, think just typing it all out helped in its own way) and there's a good few songs I hear completely differently now; burst into tears listening to a song that would usually have me bobbing my head along
  6. Just finished Spider-Man 2 with the platinum trophy to show for it, loved it. I get a lot of complaints about it being short but tbh these days it's probably perfect for how long/often I sit and play, meant I could have it completed in a few weeks. The Kraven storyline actually got me excited for the film even though I know it'll probably be shite, and thought the Venom storyline was excellent. Seems fairly obvious who the main villains will be for the third game, with a couple wee trails they've left for who might pop up on the side. Now back to Red Dead 2, which I've now started 4 times (fucked it and lost my PS4 save data twice, then started it on PS5, but went so long after playing it that I decided to start again), actually got a few missions out the way now so pretty confident I won't be forgetting about it and sitting doing the tutorial for the 5th time.
  7. Kris Boyd and Chris Sutton are the obvious ones, it's whether or not they bother trying to find an ex-player of one of the teams actually playing. What's Richie Brittain up to these days?
  8. They really need to make a big effort to make it sound like supporting one of their clubs is in any way interesting, it's quite sad.
  9. All eyes on the County v St Mirren game tonight, but either way I'm looking forward to this. Two shite teams that should at the very least produce some entertainment; hopefully not cancelled out by the fact Sky have picked it up. Sounds like we'll have Bradley back as an option, with Penrice probably fit enough to get some minutes off the bench. I've got a sneaky feeling that Martindale is going to start McGovern, which would just confirm the head start for Motherwell. Don't even want to think about what kind of mess of a back 4 we'll put out for this; Nottingham - Obileye - Devlin - Brandon Brandon - Nottingham - Obileye - Kelly None of those options really inspire confidence, Donnellan won't be fit and would be very surprised if either Penrice or Montano are ready to start. I'd rather not have Sangare in the defence tbh, think he was fine when it was left of a back 3 or out as a wing back but it's probably telling that I'd rather Sean Kelly at LB than him. St Mirren to win tonight, excitement to build, we'll start well then get hit on the counter and be 2-0 down at HT; 3-1 FT.
  10. It's one of those things; if he commits the foul then they score from the free kick, he's still the one that gets the main blame for the goal. Even if someone else makes a howler it comes back to why did he commit a silly foul to give them the chance.
  11. No idea what the point of this video is at all, a video titled "CEO Update" you'd probably expect there to be some form of chat about something going on behind the scenes - what's going on with the takeover, if he's able to talk about the upcoming/ongoing court cases, anything about the past court case, what's going on with the manager's contract, etc etc etc. Instead all they do is talk about the Partick and St Mirren games (it was filmed before KO on Saturday) and the Celtic cup game coming up, and a wee bit about the women's team. The kind of shite you expect from a manager's interview, even talking about the playing budget; just nothing more in-depth than what we get from DM every week. Basically a conversation you'd get from a couple of pundits rather than an interview with the club's CEO. Maybe I'm just grumpy on a Monday, but that just felt like a waste of time and I'm actually annoyed that they've put that out
  12. What are the chances County are as shite as Partick and we squeeze a point out of this?
  13. And that's it switched off, County scoring as many as they want today
  14. Didn't manage to switch on until the 15th minute but seems like that had been coming
  15. They sign so many ex-Livi players I get confused* *Think there's only a couple now tbh
  16. This is what annoys me about it too, the obvious one to point to is how the bigots get treated like royalty in the away end. Someone else already mentioned it but Motherwell fans chucked a burning flare onto the plastic pitch and the stewards/police just stood about. I completely get banning them, they look shite as well unless you're a literal child excited by bright colours, but it's going to rub people the wrong way when away fans get away with all sorts at Almondvale yet one smoke bomb in the home end and it's police wading in and statements getting released.
  17. Remember Martindale saying something about Penrice being 7-10 days away before the St Mirren game, which hopefully at least means he'll make the bench for this one. No idea what shape Donnellan is in but the sooner we can get those two back the better. Yengi has definitely earned his place up top, and with Nouble looking back to his best we finally look like we might have some danger in attack. A win would definitely go some way to giving us some proper momentum, but I actually think a draw wouldn't be the end of the world - despite feeling like a chance missed. The gap would still be 3 points, and we're likely to have County at home after the split if the fixtures don't need to be wonky. That's the game that would be must win if we can then just make sure we go 1 point (or goal difference) better than them in the remaining games. 27th/28th Feb: Ross County v St Mirren; Livingston v Motherwell 2nd Mar: Hibernian v Ross County; St Johnstone v Livingston 13th Mar: Ross County v Hibernian 16th Mar: Ross County v Hearts; Hibernian v Livingston 30th Mar: Aberdeen v Ross County; Livingston v Celtic 6th Apr: Kilmarnock v Ross County; Livingston v Aberdeen 13th Apr: Ross County v Rangers; Hearts v Livingston Very similar run ins, opponent-wise you'd think ours is very slightly kinder (we have Motherwell and St Johnstone where they have Hibs and Kilmarnock), however that extra game against a dodgy Hibs could give County a huge confidence boost. Assuming we're still in the fight by the split, should be very interesting seeing how the last 5 games set things up.
  18. That penalty decision btw Euan Anderson needs to hand his whistle in* *Actually, not giving it in the first place was one of the few things he got right all day. Watching it back and thinking it's a penalty is an utter riddy
  19. Imagine desperately defending wee degenerates just because they support the same team as you. Weird little creature you are.
